Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXXXX/XX/2023 my XXXX and I entered the Ashley Furniture XXXXStore at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. After browsing and finding a bedroom set we liked, we decided to purchase that day. Our sales representative, XXXX XXXX, assisted us with the purchase and asked if we'd like to finance the furniture. We told him that we were NOT interested in a store card, or a XXXX card of any kind. XXXX assured us XXXX XXXX XXXX times that the financial product offered was NOT a XXXX card of any sort, but an interest-deferred personal line of credit through XXXX bank akin to a car loan or personal loan. This was not the case, and XXXX XXXX mislead the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was selling on behalf of XXXX Bank for Ashley XXXXStore 's and his own personal gain/commission. After providing my personal information to XXXX and XXXX XXXX to open the personal line of credit, I started to receive notices of a new XXXX card hitting my credit report In the coming days/weeks, with 100 % utilization at that. I never provided affirmative express consent for opening a new XXXX card with Ashley XXXX. I currently have other cards with far larger limits and better spending benefits I would have used instead had not been mislead by Ashley XXXX and it's employees.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a complaint ( # XXXX ) to the CFPB because I could not close my TD Bank credit card and, subsequently, fraudulent charges appeared. On XX/XX/XXXX, TC Bank sent a letter ( attached ) indicating that my account had been blocked and that I would receive a credit for the fraudulent charges. This letter referenced my inability to close my account, and by mentioning the account was blocked, lead me to believe that no further charges could occur on this account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from TD Bank indicating that a new charge appeared on the account that I requested be closed. I never approved the opening of a new account and very clearly indicated that I wanted my account closed. Not only do I believe that this new charge is fraudulent, but I believe that opening this account was fraudulent since it was clearly against my previously stated wishes. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX CT, I called TD Bank to attempt to resolve this issue, but the customer service representative I was speaking with hung up on me and no one called me back. I want TD Bank to permanently close any and all accounts associated with me and remove any associated charges.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice from TD Bank that my checking account would be assessed a monthly Paper Statement Fee starting on XX/XX/XXXX. When I called TD Bank Customer Service indicating that Massachusetts residents can not be charged a fee for receiving paper statements under Mass. Gen. Laws c. 93, sec. 43A, I was told by TD Bank that the charge would not apply to my account if the balance remained above $ XXXX. I recently received my paper statement from TD Bank and it included a Paper Statement Fee of {$3.00} although the balance remained above $ XXXX. When I called TD Bank Customer Service again, I was told that the previous information I received was incorrect and that the fee would apply going forward ( although the customer service rep agreed to waive the fee for the first month ).

Consumer Complaint: I have contacted my credit card company through their phone hotline to start a dispute claim for a purchase that was done by accident by my XXXX XXXX XXXX son, and that I attempted to cancel with the merchant, and ended up never receiving the merchandise. The clerk on the phone filed the dispute as a cancellation when it should have been for merchandise not delivered, so the dispute was denied. I have contacted the visa credit card team through the phone and also sent a letter explaining that the main reason should be merchandise not received, but they did not make the correction on the claim. I then requested to have a new dispute opened and they once again denied because they changed their system and did not have the documents provided. I have provided several documents showing that I was out of the country when the delivery happened and that I did not sign the package as shown in the delivery confirmation ( which says that I signed for the item but it has no signature on file ). I also provided the investigation report from my building manager showing that the item was not delivered to my building as shown in their package log system. I also contacted my local police which has created a police report under the report number # XXXX. The clerk informed me that I can only appeal one last time to their dispute decision, which violates the CFPB since the reason they are using to evaluate my claim is incorrect as per mistake of the customer service agent.

Consumer Complaint: Installment loan. Late fees are extremely high and charge ON THE DATE PAYMENT IS DUE and not after. There is also no grace period to make payment without incurring a fee. Which is intentional. This product is essentially a buy now, pay later where if you pay off loan in predetermined time-frame there is no interest charged. It is clear that the intent of the product is to charge as many fees to the balance as possible ( Fees are {$40.00} ) so that they can run out the clock and begin to charge interest as ON TOP OF THE FEES. Predatory lending at its plainest.

I logged in and realized someone had opened a credit card in my name and spend XXXX $ on it. I immediately contacted the company and told them it was fraud and filed a claim. They told me they were going to send me an affidavit in the mail for me to fill out and send back then they would open an investigation. I still have not received the affidavit. I have contacted them numerous times since. Each time they tell me they will email for it to be resent. This past time I talked to a supervisor and was told it would be emailed. 3 days later and still no email. I have filed a police report and an identity theft report.
