Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I ordered a phone ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) XXXX XXXX. Prior to ordering the phone, on XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX ahead of the purchase to gather the proper information needed to decide if I should make the purchase. During this call, I confimred with the customer service representative that upon purchasing the phone that the monthly payment associated with the phone ( {$19.00} ) would be linked to my XXXXXXXX phone bill and that I would pay XXXX directly for the purchase. I then puchased the phone online through their website, upon receiving confirmation, I was directed to contact TD Bank in order to complete the purchase. This is where even more concern of mine comes into play. I contacted TD Bank on XX/XX/XXXX to finalize and activate the purchase at which point I confirmed multiple times over the phone with the representative that not only would my payment be linked to my T-Mobile phone bill, but that was purpose of this call in general as the linkage can not be done online and required a live representative. Upon receiving the phone, months later, I began receiving bills in the random amount of {$19.00} from TD Bank for an account that I had no knowledge of. I began making phone inquires regarding this account attempting to dispute in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I believe that is the correct month, I was directed to file a dispute online. This dispute took well over 90 days to resolve and the resolution on indicated that they confirmed I made a purchase with XXXX XXXX. None of my request to look into their deception was reviewed and completely overlooked. I was never looking to open a credit card account, and I have actually never even received a credit card from either organization. However, my credit has been incredibly impacted and I owe way more on the balance than I ever intended on paying for a phone for an account I should have never had. Since receiving the results of the dispute, I have attempted to redispute this with both TD Bank and XXXX XXXX as none of my questions were responded to. I have also been pending a manager call back from TD Bank and made over 4 requests for this just in the last month alone with no response.

Consumer Complaint: My wife applied for a TD bank retail card through XXXX and XXXX. She applied as a sole applicant and entered only her name, DOB, and social security number. She specifically chose no when asked if she wanted a co-application. The credit card was approved and at the same time, her credit report alerted that there was a hard inquiry on her credit report, my credit report was also alerted that there was a hard inquiry on my credit report. My information ; name, DOB, and social security number were never entered and I did not authorize TD bank to run my credit. I would like this hard inquiry removed from my credit report as it was unauthorized.

They would not electronically refund. They can debit and not credit? They clearly established my identity. Conference call? Really? This feels like a UDAAP violation. Are they doing it to collect the interest off the backs of taxpayers?

Consumer Complaint: I went into a TD Bank on XX/XX/2021 to deposit two checks. One for {$840.00} and another for {$30000.00}. When handing the check to the teller, I asked if the check needing to be endorsed by the other parties on the check. The teller told me no and continued to deposit my checks. By XX/XX/2021 both checks were returned, causing fees and overdrafts. I contacted TD Bank, which their phone reps told me both checks would be reissued in 7-10 days in order to be redeposited. I still have not received those checks. Ive followed up numerous times, no one has any idea where the re issued checks are. I was told any branch can re-print the checks for depositing and when I went, I only received a copy of the transaction not an actual check.

Consumer Complaint: Repeatedly, TD Bank has frozen my card for suspicious activity overseas. I dont have a big issue with this. The issue I have is that they routinely will refuse to lift the block after I go through all identifying information they request, to include voiceprint analysis because I dont have a US number registered to me. As a traveler, I use XXXX ( as does TD ) and other such services. Currently, once again, I am blocked from funds in my account and they refuse to budge because I dont have a US phone number. Which of course is impossible to do with no funds. There standards and enforcement are sporadic and with all the other information verification, to include a voiceprint, this matter of a US number is beyond ridiculous. BUT, the fact they know its me and refuse to release the block, fully knowing that I am trapped in a foreign country with no money, little food etc., is utterly reprehensible and goes unpuniished. Please note that TD has had to make several settlements for fraud. One of which was with CFPB and have constently been caught rigging penny arcades, structuring transactions, etc. Why are these people allowed to operate in the US?

Once I was notified by target I paid the amount immediately with a representative over the phone I also sent target card services the bank letter with the information that my payment was not honored due to an error from the bank that the funds were available. The representative from target card services explained to me it was not an issue and the late payment would be corrected due to it being a bank error.Target credit card services is still reporting a late payment for XX/XX/2021, they never corrected the reporting.

Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing FRAUDULENT CREDIT INQUIRIES ON MY XXXX CREDIT REPORT XXXX has been telling me that I have to wait for the furnishers of the credit inquiries for to respond back to the request they sent. I have submitted a NOTARIZED POLICE DEPARTMENT, NOTARIZED FEDERAL TRADE COMISSION IDENTITY THEFT AFFADAVIT, NOTARIZED COPY OF SSN AND ID. I have contacted the furnishers to notify that I am a victim of Identity Theft but XXXX is still listing the FRAUDULENT CREDIT INQUIRIES until they said the company sends a letter confirming deletion yet they have not! Consumer Complaint: I used td bank transfer to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2019, the amount was {$1000.00}. The bank has suspended the transfer due to account problems, and verification is required during the transfer process. I called immediately to cancel. The online service staff clearly told me that there would be no automatic transfer, but it was still transferred by td bank, because when I checked my bank records on XX/XX/XXXX, the transfer was from my bank without my authorization and notification Account transfer. I am very disappointed about this. Due to the irresponsible operation of the bank staff, I contacted td bank multiple times, but until now I have not received the money that belongs to me. They have been shirking responsibility and did not actively deal with this matter. I went to the cfpb department to complain about this matter. I hope TD Bank will be responsible for returning the money to me. TD Banks irresponsible behavior has affected me not to trust them. Their behavior makes me very insecure. Finally, I hope that the bank can solve this in the near future.
