Consumer Complaint: I am writing to urgently dispute an error on my TD Bank credit account that incorrectly shows less than 100 % of payments made on time, thereby affecting my credit score. Despite TD Bank 's commitment to resolve this, the issue remains unaddressed. I opened my TD Bank credit account on XX/XX/XXXX, with a credit limit of {$500.00}. My most recent statement inaccurately reflects 96 % of payments made on time, when it should read 100 %. This discrepancy centers around the last recorded payment date of XX/XX/XXXX. My account statement confirms an amount past due of {$0.00} for that date, indicating that no payment was actually due and therefore none was missed. The origin of this issue was a miscommunication from a TD Bank representative, who incorrectly informed me of a payment issue on my account. Upon my immediate request for clarification, it was verified that no charges were pending and no balance was owed. I was assured that this error would be corrected, but my credit score continues to suffer. I respectfully request the CFPB to expedite an investigation to correct this error and restore my credit history to its accurate 100 % on-time payment status. I am willing to provide any additional documentation or information as needed

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I was incorrectly charged deferred interest on my TD Bank/Raymour & Flanigan store card. Balance due on deferred items was {$270.00} on my XX/XX/XXXX statement. Needed to be paid in full by XX/XX/XXXX. I made an extra payment on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$75.00}. TD Bank took my auto draft payment for {$200.00} out of my account on the due date of XX/XX/XXXX. Total payment submitted for balance due on deferred amount totaled {$270.00}. Due date was a Saturday, account was credited for the {$200.00} payment on the following business day on XX/XX/XXXX. Even though both payments were submitted on time, and before the deferred period ending date, TD Bank charged me accrued interest of {$410.00}. I believe they are in violation of the fair debt collection practices act as they did not credit my payment properly in order to avoid charging deferred interest. Payments received on weekend must still be considered on time on the next business day. I tried to contact them today ( XX/XX/XXXX ), but they are closed. I will be calling them tomorrow, Monday XX/XX/XXXX in an attempt to resolve this, but feel it is in my best interest to be proactive and file a complaint. I have attached my TD bank account statements for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX as well the page from my bank statement showing the XXXX above referenced payments ( please note the bank clearance times do not depict the fact that they were made on time to TD bank ). Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX : I made phone call while living at XXXX shelter to TD Bank/Target Guest Services to inform them that I was following up on my credit card account because I had received notification that my account had 2 late payments on my credit report and that the balance was not mine. I informed them that I wanted to open an dispute for the late payments to dispute through their bank and have them remove them from my credit report, in addition to update the in appropriate balance on the credit card statement. I explained that this was because I was a victim of XXXX XXXXXXXX and I was living in a shelter with my children and I had no personal phone and no direct mail access. The address on file was my permanent address but my mother was not in communication with me for safety reasons and therefore I was unaware of due balance. The lady stated she would open a dispute but did not provide me with any details or case number for reference prior to phone call ending to verify the debt and allow me to dispute charges. This debt is not mine. My identity was stolen and credit was used while being attached to XXXX XXXX and in person charges as well. XX/XX/2023 : I received notification that the account was closed and placed in collections and that they felt debt was valid. There are XXXX late payments reporting with XXXX account # XXXX in XXXX and XX/XX/2023. There is also collections/charge off reporting in XX/XX/2023. I did not agree to give access the person who stole my identity to make these purchases.
