Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 Td Bank charged me a late fee of XXXX dollars on XXXX finacing account. The payment was not due until the XX/XX/2021. I made my payment XX/XX/2021. I called them XX/XX/2021 ask them about the fee they said it would be automatically reversed off my account. They prematurely charged me a late fee before I was late. I asked if they can remove the late off the statement because I was never late. Ask to speak to a supervisor. They hung up on me. I need to show this statement for a different kind of credit application. But not with the late fee nor a statement reversal charge because I wasn't late. Now the days that the late charges where on the statement changes my compound interest on my deferred interest. And if I don't pay this promotion off in time they will accure more interest and more money off of me due to there error.

This has happened to me and 3 of my family members.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a victim of identity theft which occurred in XX/XX/2019. As it was happening I began monitoring the fraudulent credit inquiries. The next month the perpetrator purchase two vehicles under my identity, using a counterfeited State drivers license. As the months with my I was confused about what to do, I contacted the FTC and the three credit bureaus. I discovered that since the investigation was still ongoing I could not get a accurate police report. I spoke to the dealerships and I was told that the fastest way to expedite this problem was to get a police report. After I was able to get a police report I was not able to get in contact with the credit companies, I have reached out and I have left messages, I have personally went to dealerships. Ive been promised to be called back but still shrugged off. I have sent disputes to the three credit bureaus with detailed reports and all of the corresponding information. My delinquent accounts still will not be taken off my credit summary. I am sinking further into debt. I just want this to end.

I received another statement from TD Bank on XXXX stating that the fraud checking account was still open and they could not close the account because I have to visit a branch in person to close the account. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, TD Bank accepted two checks for deposit made payable to me, my wife, as well as our lender XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. TD Bank cashed these checks despite the fact that the checks were not endorsed by any of the parties the checks were made payable to. The checks were in the amounts of {$13000.00} and XXXX respectively. TD Bank check detection contacted us by phone from XXXX to explain that an account holder had deposited the checks into their bank account on our behalf. We explained that the checks had not been received and no such permission had been granted. We later determined that the checks were mailed inadvertently to a previous address and stolen presumably by a TD Bank account holder. When we contacted TD Bank back to resolve the matter they refused to provide us with any information and do not return our calls. Copies of the checks provided clearly demonstrate that proper bank protocol was not followed. The following actions have been taken to no avail : a police report has been filed, USPS notified of the mail fraud, and affidavits filed at the issuing institution : XXXX XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: As described in multiple phone calls and a detailed letter to TD Bank, someone who had stolen my credit card information purchased a laptop computer from XXXX XXXX, charging {$950.00} to my credit card with TD Bank. When I received an email from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2021, that the laptop was ready to be picked up, I immediately called TD Bank and notified them of the fraudulent charge. They canceled the credit card number and sent me a new one. I asked them whether I needed to call XXXX XXXX, and I was told that TD Bank would take care of that. In a letter dated XX/XX/2021, which I received by regular mail several days later ( I XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, so I may not have picked up my mail immediately ), TD Bank told me they were closing the dispute they opened on XX/XX/XXXX, because the item had shipped to my home. This was not true, as the information TD Bank had received from XXXX XXXX established : it said that two free items that were supposedly shipped to my home ( I ever received anything ), not the laptop computer, which was picked up at the XXXX VA store, about a two hour drive from my home in XXXX. I followed up with repeated calls to TD Bank to explain this. TD Bank has created more than barriers to communication. They have created barricades to communication. When I and my father have called, repeatedly, we have been told that a request to reopen the investigation has been submitted, that we can't talk to the investigators who make the decision whether to reopen the dispute, that a supervisor will call us back ( none has ), and that the dispute is closed so we have to pay the full credit card bill ( due tomorrow ; of course, we are willing to pay the credit card bill except for the fraudulent charge for the laptop computer ). We asked for a street address so we could send a complaint and confirm receipt ( we wanted to confirm receipt because TD Bank 's attention to this matter has been sporadic and unhelpful ). We were given a post office box and a facsimile number, and were told there is no street address where we can send the complaint by XXXX XXXX ( none is listed on the credit card agreement or the credit card, either ). We attach the letter we sent, providing more details. At this stage, all we are asking for is that the dispute be reopened so that we are not liable to pay the charge or to be assessed interest charges.
