Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: I was sent an offer to open a checking and savings account at TD Bank and earn up to a {$500.00} bonus if I made direct deposits of at least {$2500.00} within 60 days ( which I did ) and deposit at least {$20000.00} of new money into a new savings account within 20 days ( which I did ). I live 5 hours away from any of the banks offices and so the only way I could deposit the money was to send it to my checking account at this bank and then transfer it into the savings account. I called their customer service and explained that I could not directly transfer it to the saving account and they suggested this method was they way to do it. My bonus of {$500.00} has not been posted and the TD Bank said it would within 140 days of account opening. I opened the account on XX/XX/2021 and today has been 166 days. I have called three times and asked them for the money and they have yet respond. I feel they have violated the Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices ( UDAP regulation ) and refuse to follow through with their agreement

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: There was a of fraudulent charge case ( TD CASE XXXX ) involving my TD Bank 's Visa Card in XXXX, amount {$1100.00}. Unfortunately, TD found the fraud case in favor of the merchant because whoever stole my credit card delivered the item to my house, and I returned the product back to the merchant, resulting in TD closing the case and re-billed me in XXXX. I paid TD my credit card bill including {$1100.00} to maintain good standing with my account. Since then, I kept contacting the merchant for a refund. But the merchant insisted that TD Bank never paid them ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ) due to the " fraud '' status of the transaction. I spoke to a lawyer about it, the lawyer advised me that I need to be able to prove that TD Bank paid the merchant. So I called TD many times to request evidence of payment to merchant. TD tells me that my credit card statement is all I can get and it is sufficient, when in fact my credit card statement does not prove TD paid the merchant.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: There were a number of fraudulent charges made on the card. TD Bank Fraud division recognized several as fraudulent and reversed those charges as well as cancelling the card and issuing another. The Fraud Dept representative advised they would look into the remaining dispute charges. All undisputed charges were paid in full. I memorialized all conversations in a follow-up writing to TD Bank. I received a letter from the Fraud Dept. telling me all disputed charges were reversed. The next TD Bank statement included the disputed charges with interest and fees. I called the Fraud Dept. and was told to ignore that billing as all were resolved in my favor. Meanwhile I received a notice from one credit reporting agency that my credit rating had been significantly down-graded due to the TD Bank dispute. I wrote TD Bank several letter throughout this period as well as phone calls. The letters were ignored and monthly statement continued to accrue interest and penalties. On one occasion, the fraud department ( in a phone call ) agreed to drop all suspicious charges but one ( 1 ) and agreed to re-investigate this last remaining disputed charge. That was three months age. No results on the follow-up but the statements continue unabated.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX, and I am sending this request myself to address the inaccuracies on my Credit Reports. I have been patiently waiting on their response to the written requests I sent. However, any modes of response or coordination were not taken on their end. They have not complied with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC Sections 1681i within the time allowed by law and continued reporting as unverified information which now, given all my attempts to address it directly with the creditor, as wilful negligence and non-compliance with federal statutes. I badly need your help on this matter.
