Consumer Complaint: TD BANK blocked my account on XX/XX/XXXX and they blocked all my money, they said that the bank had made the decision to close my account and that they would return my money in a check and then week after week the assistants of the bank located in XXXX fl they gave me different excuses, even mentioning that they did not know where my money was and that they did not know if they would return it to me in a check. Time passed and every week they avoided attending me or talking to me but one day they attended me they told me that my account was closed effective XX/XX/XXXX and that I should wait until XX/XX/XXXX when a check would arrive but on XX/XX/XXXX I returned to the same branch where the man who attended me told me that he did not know where my money was and that the best thing was for me to forget about it, causing a strong reaction in me to the point where this worker, telling me that it was against his rules, would show me the screen of his computer so that he could read the emails he had about my case ( I have video ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I returned to the branch of this bank where the same man who told me that he did not know where my money was, answered me and I quote -I DID NOT SAY THIS, BUT THE BEST THING IS THAT YOU GET A LAWYER.- ( I have video ) where it tells me that the bank has made the decision not to return my money.

Consumer Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX : ( XXXX ) XXXX Fax : ( XXXX ) XXXX Email : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX At first they refused to disclose who they were or why they were calling and said that papers were being served against me, and that I had to verify my social security number and phone number. I asked her if she was calling to serve legal papers from the courts and she said she couldnt tell me unless I provided my personally identifying information : she did not say no, which allowed me to think this might be the case. They would not disclose what type of papers or that it was an attempt to collect a debt, but wouldnt give any additional importation so I hung up. Then a manager, XXXX XXXX XXXX called back and said it was for a balance from am overdraft fee from XXXX for about {$220.00} from TD bank, and that if I didnt settle immediately that I would have to go to court, and have to pay their legal fees, And the bill would be more like {$1000.00} dollars. At that, I agreed to that old debt and paid it. Then, I looked up the statue of limitations and realized it was long past. I called back and spoke to XXXX XXXX about the matter, told her it was illegal to mislead me, that the statue of limitations in New York was three years for an old debt, and asked for my money back. She said that the mark has appeared on my credit as recently as XXXX, and that the account was only a couple of signatures away from litigation. I said that was still past the statue of limitations, then she agreed that was true, and in fact it was a lie and could not be sued. She said that if I canceled the payment it would restart the clock on my debt. I would never have even spoken to these people if they hadnt lied.

Consumer Complaint: I financed XXXX product and was directed to TD Retail Card Services. I applied and got credit for my purchaseI was directed to set up XXXX portal to make payments etc. Payments are due on the XXXX if each month. If payment is late you incur a late fee. Their terminology is misleading because it states up to a certain amount. Its very confusing the wording in the contract and it wasnt until much searching I found TD retail card XXXX is associated with TD bank, Im a XXXX on a fixed income and my SSA payments arent deposited until second week of each month. This was very difficult to budget for as TD card services is not flexible in adjusting the due date. I explained situation to several CS reps who handle the myonlineaccount.net that they have set up, Ive had to incur multiple {$40.00} late fees because company is unreasonable and will not work with consumers. This is becoming a hardship because with outrageously high late fee its difficult to pay down balance. This company is unyielding and greedy and taking advantage of people struggling to pay bills. This company is not willing to work with consumers, theyre simply lining their own pockets with greedy practices. XXXX and other large companies use TD Bank. Buyer Beware

Consumer Complaint: About 30 days ago, in early XXXX, I received a bank statement from TD Bank claiming that I had overdrafted my account. Looking at the statement, I noticed that several money transfer services were used under my name ( which I did not authorize ). At the time, I immediately tried called the bank ... and after waiting on hold for about an hour I decided to send them an email requesting the account be closed. I have not heard back from the bank, and today on XX/XX/2022 I received a second banking statement saying that I still owed money for the overdraft. I believe my information was used to open this account ... an action in which I did not authorize. Please do not do business with TD Bank as they have refused to answer any of my questions.
