Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I wrote a check # XXXX to Target to pay XXXX statement balance of {$140.00}. Target clerk keyed in {$140.00}. I pointed out it should be {$140.00}. The clerk tried to cancel the mistake and keyed in the right amount of {$140.00}. When I checked my XXXX checking account, I find that check # XXXX was charged twice, one for {$140.00}, one for XXXX and were back to back on the same day. After I explained to XXXX, XXXX credited me back the {$140.00} on XX/XX/2022. Later I received the Target XXXX statement, Target lists I have a purchase " XXXX. XXXX STORE PAY RETURNS # XXXX XXXX -- -- -- -- -- -- {$140.00} ''. I called Target to explained that is a mistake and I did not make that purchase. But the {$140.00} was carried on to the XXXX, XXXX statements and was never corrected and keep on charging interest on it. I wrote to target again on XX/XX/2022 to explain the mistake and as of today I did not receive any response or call. All related document were forwarded to Target on XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022.

Consumer Complaint: Hello CFPB I have started this case because the last two months have been a nightmare dealing with TD bank Credit Card service. Just for a quick recap, on XX/XX/XXXX i lost my job, i have been going through some personal medical issues as well and my partner has been kind enough to handle the finances for me, just recently on XX/XX/XXXX i have paid off all my Credit Cards and shortly after i started using them again. I have one CC with TD, for the limit of only {$500.00}, since the payoff i have used the amount of XXXX in total from their credit line. My partner was helping me pay off and he realized on XX/XX/XXXX, just on due date that my balance kept going up, he asked me if i had used the card and i explained him that i have not. After we went through the statements we had realized that TD had charged us a late fee for every single months since XX/XX/XXXX. As of yesterday which it was the XXXX due date we had 4 fees, two of them for {$27.00} and two for {$37.00}. They did remove one of the fees and that means that we were only left with three of them plus a XXXX XXXX monthly interest. We stopped paying in XX/XX/XXXX and my parter, XXXX advised me to escalate this case with them to have the fees reviewed, We have a total balance of almost {$400.00} and we have just used {$200.00}. We feel TD is a predatory institution that has not just unfairly charged fees, but they have repeatedly declined to help us resolve the fees. I spoke to one of their managers, i feel like she was the only one that was honest, she said that we have paid less then the minimum amount but the payments have been submitted on due date. We can assure you that we only have paid what the minimum amount is advised on their system. I gave them a chance till yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX to review their information before we took any additional steps to resolve this. We are not comfortable with their politics and most importantly we have come to the realization that their practices have possibly hurt a lot of people. We are willing to share any information related to the matter to get to the bottom of this. Please see the three attached statements for the last 3 months, we have paid the minimum amount advised on the app in all the last 3 months, and we have received fees on all three of them. Please help us and the American People from this PREDATORY INSTITUTION, they are in business to take advantage of the hard working people so their top bankers can make millions a year. Respectfully

Consumer Complaint: TD Bank erroneously reversed provisional credits of over {$1200.00} for charges I disputed against the merchant XXXX, resulting in my account becoming negative. TD Bank then rejected all of my attempted transactions, leaving me without basic necessities like toilet paper because TD Bank can not read, and reading is fundamental in order to resolve banking problems. TD Bank incorrectly asserted that I did not send them the requested information by the specified deadline in order to maintain my provisional credit, because I sent it via email to them by the deadline and see the attached proof. Before I emailed it, I went into their XXXX branch who could not fax the information to their claims dept because the fax was not working. I attempted to resolve this with TD Bank multiple times. I want TD Bank fined. I want my money back plus interest according to the usury rate. TD Bank has also locked my account and will not provide me with any information over the phone or over the internet because they insist that they must " send me a text message '' despite my informing them that I lost my phone weeks ago. They are complete XXXX. Following resolution of this matter, I want my account closed with TD Bank as I will never bank with them again because reading is fundamental folks.

After settling and paying off this collection they told me in 7 days. XX/XX/XXXX they would email me a XXXX balance letter and in 30 days a final settlement will come in the mail. The account is verified paid and not owed. This company is not allowing me to remove and delete the file on my consumer report. This account is closed and settled. It is my responsibility to monitor my consumer report. This negative reporting by this company is stopping me from renting an apartment. I need it removed and deleted off my account immediately. I can provide the information proving leasing desk is using this collection against me and it's hurting me. please remove and delete. I have rights to say who can report on my consumer report. Please contact them, they do not have the right to deny a deletion which was reported on my account deny me my rights and breaking federal law. Thank you again this is an attempt I am asking to politely remove this account which I can no longer use or open. Collection is verified as paid and not owed.

Nordstrom replied to the credit reporting agencies that the comments on the report were valid but never sent me proof that I disputed the account. However, todays call and the conversation I had today, not only violated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 807. False or misleading representations but also it is not acceptable. Lastly, I told the previous representative, XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/2022, that I could pay the settlement payment all at once on XX/XX/XXXX or later. Then I was told that the system allows scheduling a payment only 30 days in advance. So, it was ended that I would call at the end of XXXX to schedule payment for the settlement offer available for me. However, again, I got a call from XXXX XXXX today even though I already talked and discussed it with the previous agentwhich violated Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 806. Harassment or abuse. A dispute was mailed out to all XXXX, XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/22, XX/XX/22 and on XX/XX/22. A dispute letter was also sent to the creditor as well. Upon sending notice and receiving a frivolous investigation from all 3 bureaus and it's creditors information reporting, you will clearly see the the FCRA violations. You will see on the supporting documents that both creditor and the 3 reporting bureaus information do not correspond accurately with each other. The TD Bank USA/Target Credit XXXX XXXX XXXX is completely fraud and I have no knowledge of this account. Per FCRA ss 602 [ 15 U.S.C. ss 1681 ], ss 603, ss 605, ss 607, ss 609 and ss 611 which are all violations of Tittle 15 USC ss 1691 and it's sub sections. I demand that you correspond with the Attorney General of California and Secretary of State about these fraudulent matters as I will also correspond with them myself. I demand that you correspond with all e Credit Bureaus demanding the removal and relief of this fraudulent account from my credit profiles.
