Consumer Complaint: in XXXX i received a call. my phone identified it as td bank. he told me that my account was hacked and did i want to close the account. i texted back yes. the next day i went to the bank and found out i was hacked. the bank reimbursed me. XXXX of XXXX i received a letter stating that their investigation found that it was a legitimate transaction and they wanted {$1000.00} back which they they took out of my account. i did not authorize the transaction i want the money back

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 I was reviewing my personal checking account TD bank statement. ending in XXXX. I noticed a payment paid to a company named XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$6200.00}. That disbursement was made on XX/XX/22. TD bank had no authority to disburse my funds to a unknown person or company. I contacted TD bank immediately to investgate the matter. I drove to my local TD bank branch in XXXX, NJ. I filed a fraud report and complaint through my TD branch office in XXXX, NJ. I filed a police report with XXXX XXXX police dept. Police report # XXXX. I delivered the police report to TD bank XXXX XXXX XXXX. I filed a second complaint on XX/XX/22 with the police report attached. I closed my checking account on XX/XX/22 and opened a new one at the TD bank branch in XXXX, NJ. After XXXX weeks I received my new checking account information in the mail. I went on-line to reveiw my bank information and again, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX appeared on my new checking account as a bill/pay recipient. I then filed a complaint with New Jersey Office of the Attorney General Division of Consumers Affairs. They refered my case to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. They refered my case to Comptroller of the Currency. I did file a complaint with that agency.

Consumer Complaint: T D BANK had several forms of advertisement, ie internet, direct mailing, in bank personnel/ employee, and also listed on other websites such as see XXXX XXXX ( copy uploaded ) The promotion under which I opened my account with TD BANK stated the following : The bank employee took a copy of the " Social Security Check '' with both names listed to confirmed with manager on duty that we qualified for XXXX of the " PROMOTION '' being offered which was ( XXXX ) days of " DIRECT DEPOSIT '' of {$500.00} or more after the XXXX days we would qualify to receive {$250.00} deposited into the account being opened. The only EXCEPTION was, we had to keep {$100.00} in the account each month by our statement due date of the XXXX of each month, if not we will be charged a below {$100.00} fee OF {$15.00}. THE ACCOUNT WAS OPENED IN THEIR XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX AND XXXX XXXX BRANCH ON XX/XX/XXXX CALLED A : TD CONVENIENCE CHECKING. OUR XXXX DAYS OF DIRECT DEPOSIT WOULD EXPIRE ON XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) DAYS ON XX/XX/XXXX The account was ( $ XXXX Cents ) of the required {$100.00} required end of month the account had {$99.00} I could not get to the bank and XXXX was not set up ( to do so would take XXXX days to verify the account by TD BANK REQUIREMENTS. I GOT TO THE BANK THE NEXT DAY TO DEPOSIT THE {$0.00} Cents but was charged {$15.00} SPOKE TO XXXX XXXX IN DEPARTMENT OF SUBMISSION CONTACT CENTER FOR TDBANK WHO SAID TO AVOID THE {$15.00} FEES SHE CAN SWITCH US OVER TO THE TD SIMPLE CHECKING FOR {$5.00} PER MONTH WITH NO {$100.00} REQUIREMENT, AND I WILL BE OK BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY HONORED THE XXXX DAYS REQUIREMENT, AND I WILL STILL BE A TD BANK CUSTOMER WITH DIRECT DEPOSIT. I am filing this official complaint with the CFPB because all my EFFORTS IN HAVING THE MANAGER, THE ASSISTANT MANAGER ALONG WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO HAVE TD BANK HONOR THE PROMOTION HAVE FAILED. THE REASON BEING GIVEN BY TD BANK FOR NOT HONORING THE PROMOTION {$250.00} UNDER WHICH THE ACCOUNT WAS OPENED IS, STATING THAT MY NAME WAS NOT ON THE PROMOTION. ( Which by the was it was ) THE PROMOTION DID NOT REQUIRE A NAME IT WAS ON THE INTERNET, IT WAS BEING MAILED TO HOUSE OWNERS, AND MOST OF ALL IT WAS CONFIRMED BY THE MANAGER ON THE DAY I OPENED THE ACCOUNT THAT I QUALIFY FOR THE PROMOTION. THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH DECEPTIVE PRACTICE AND I PERSONALLY ALSO FEELS IT'S A DISCRIMINATORY ACT. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL BANKS WITH THE ISSUE AND NO ONE WANTS TO HONOR THE PROMOTION FOR OVER A YEAR. WHY? ALL REQUIREMENTS WERE MET. IS IT THE XXXX OR THE PIGMENT OF THE SKIN.

Consumer Complaint: RE : Complaint ID # XXXX I just received a letter from TD Card Services regarding my dispute with XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. They state the following : I opened a claim on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$5800.00} XX/XX/XXXX I was issued a refund in the amount of {$290.00} and stated I did call back to dispute the whole amount of {$5800.00} and not just the {$290.00}. According to documentation I disputed the whole amount of {$5800.00} with my first phone call to TD Card Services on XX/XX/XXXX. TD Card Services closed the case on XX/XX/XXXX, which was after the 90 day limit. When I called they said it was a mistake and the case was re-opened. TD Card Services said I re-opened the claim when actually I did not re-open the claim, TD Card Services did as they stated to me. Due to an error on their part. TD Card Services again went past the 90 day limit. I received a letter ( please see attachment ) dated XX/XX/XXXX stating when I have previously stated. Also please refer to Complaint ID # XXXX. I do believe in my opinion that because TD Card Services did not do their due-diligence and went past their deadline to recover the {$5800.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is stated in the letter addressed to me~ that they no longer have charge back rights. They are discriminating against me even though I have gone over and above of what TD Card Services has asked of me and been more then patient since XXXX regarding this dispute. I honestly thought they would back me up in this dispute as I have been with TD Card Services for many years. Please refer to Complaint ID # XXXX for all the documentation and notes regarding this claim.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 I deposited {$4700.00} into my checking account at TD Bank NA The deposit consisted of a {$3700.00} check drawn on my own personal account at XXXX XXXX and {$1000.00} cash I was handed a deposit receipt. The receipt said NOTHING about a hold on the check. I came to find out the next day by looking at my account online that the bank slapped a 6 business day hold on the {$3700.00} check. By the way, my account at TD has been open more than 10 years. Also, by the way, XXXX paid the check on the VERY SAME DAY the check was deposited at TD BANK I went to the bank to complain, I called various departments none were helpfull. Apparently the department that slaps these holds on checks is not reachable by other bank personnel including the fraud department. The bank made NO PART of this check available as is required by Federal law either the same day or the next day. Interestingly enough today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received a notice from TD dated XX/XX/XXXX that they were placing a hold on my check. These people need to be sanctioned, fined, and placed under special supervision. I spent hours of my time trying to remedy this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I received a notification from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 that a credit card had been opened in my name at Raymour & Flanigan. I have never purchased anything from them either online or in the store. I called the company to see what was going on, and their customer service rep was very rude & unhelpful ( named XXXX XXXX. I asked her to close the account and told her it was fraudulent. She said it " seemed like a fraudulent purchase '' but She also told me that I was responsible for the payments or it will ruin my credit!! This fraud person opened an XXXX XXXX credit card and spent XXXX XXXX the same day. I disputed the charges on that day. XXXX would not tell me where these goods were shipped. She told me the purchase was made online and the credit card was opened online. A week later I received a store credit card from Raymour and Flanigan in the mail at my house! That means this fraud person knows my home address!! Now fast forward a few weeks and Raymour & Flanigan is now claiming that these charges are MY RESPONSIBILITY and refusing to drop the charge. This is questionable business practices. I want to know HOW they came up with this conclusion, and what information they have on the fraudulent charges. Also I filed a police report with my local police and I will give you the cc # upon request.

Consumer Complaint: I had a similar complaint I had submitted in regard to this situation with this particular card but this is a new complaint, something different. I explained very patiently to this Bank, the issuing bank behind this retail credit card, what had happened with the retailer, both on the phone numerous times with supervisors to no avail and in written complaints. I told them I was disputing the balance until the retailer resolved all of my issues. The retailer promised to credit me and reissue the charges under a new completely revised interest free plan, which they did eventually get around to doing sometime in XXXX. Also, as a part of it, they promised all my late fees would be waived and I would be starting with a new slate. However, it was a long wait and in the interim I was getting hit with late fees and my credit is now ruined. Before they had agreed, I had appealed to TD Bank to dispute the balance and they refused. I have never seen anything like this, where the issuing bank of a credit card refuses to stand by a customer when there is a dispute over a charge. Instead, all they did was continue to pile on the late fee 's compounding my debt. Making it worse. The retailer never had the late fee 's waived as promised. I still have them for XXXX, XXXX and now XXXX. The entire account is a mess and I am not paying this until all these late fee 's are waived. Furthermore, since the retailer promised to straighten this all out, this never should have affected my credit. TD Bank has the power to straighten this all out with the retailer.
