Consumer Complaint: I have did a Preapproval with Synchrony Bank/ Amazon XXXX store card. I was pre approved for XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/2022. I tried to complete the process and kept having issues. so I called. Finally get the approval done and they change the amount from XXXX to XXXX. I had them to close the account and the did on XXXX/XXXX/2022. I get an alert for another inquiry ( that I did not authorize ) for the XX/XX/2022 on the XXXX/XXXX/2022. Today, XX/XX/2022 I received an alert from my XXXX report on MyFico app and stated that I have a new account from Synchrony /Amazon . The date reported was XX/XX/2022 and date opened XXXX/XXXX/2022, which is not correct. I called them and they were not willing to help.

Consumer Complaint: I live in XXXX, California and on XX/XX/2022, while visiting my XXXX old father in XXXX, I stopped at the XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX , California, store # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX to buy a wallet. I used my XXXX XXXX to purchase the wallet. The clerk at checkout asked me if I wanted a rewards card, but without my knowledge, she signed me up for a Sychrony Bank credit card. I was not given any paperwork indicating that I was being signed up for a credit card, just told that it would be coming in the mail. It wasn't until I received the credit card today XX/XX/2022 and my credit report took a XXXX point negative credit hit that I realized I'd be misled. I called the credit card company and the only thing they did was to cancel the card, but I need my positive credit restored. After the conversation ended, I tried to calle Synchrony Bank to speak with a person who could contact the three credit bureaus to restore my credit, but was not given any access to a human being. I have already frozen my credit at XXXX but the damage has been done. I called the store on XX/XX/2022 and spoke with XXXX and told her what happened but she there was nothing she could do. I never opened the credit card, speaking with XXXX in Synchrony 's offshore offices on XX/XX/2022, confirmation number : XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Account was closed XX/XX/XXXX due to my report on fraud because I never opened the account. I never authorized the account to be added back on my credit report after the account was closed. The address on file was even wrong, This Company reported the account again on my credit report XX/XX/XXXX. They said it takes 30 days to update information regarding fraud but they waited 5 months to add somehting on my report without my consent which and the address on file is wrong never belonged on my report. The information was also added on my report wihtout my written consent as well which is ILLEGAL!!!! I can't even purchase my home due to the illegal activity by paypal Credit/synchrony bank XXXX I will open up a civil lawsuit claim for the illegal activity as well. After they originally found out the account was fraud it was added again.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 a collection was added to my account I had to knowledge of. I received phone calls from people who gave me no information so I was skeptical. Once I received notice of collection actually hitting my credit report I made payment. I was not given any warning to pay prior to going to collections. Balance was {$1900.00} and I settled for {$1000.00} within a week. I believe it is unfair to report because I was blindsided by the debt which occurred in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a CreditCare account ( Synchrony Bank, XXXX FL ), to pay for an elective eye procedure for my daughter ; made sense to pay over time interest free ( I always do this for large purchases and always pay within interest free period ). The application process was online and I was pre-approved immediately! ( credit score is and has always been exceptional current XXXX XXXX score XXXX ), but XXXX uses a third party identity verification service that requires uploading a copy of your drivers license with readable barcode. Ive had to do this with other identity verification processes and never had a problem but I could not get it to work with XXXX third party service. So, I called them to resolve the issue and they absolutely refused to work with me in any way, shape or form. I even asked to be elevated to a supervisor also refused to offer any alternatives to resolving the matter. I am certainly sensitive to the issue of identity theft but a major financial institution like XXXX should have alternatives to resolve such issues again, credit score of XXXX I could easily provide a federal employee ID, military retiree ID, birth certificate, US Passport, etc for them to confirm my identitybut they made no attempt or offer to resolve the matter. This company ( XXXX, Synchrony Bank ) should must be a pretty incompetent financial business to make no effort to resolve an issue with someone with my credit score makes me wonder if they are not running some sort of scam that prefers people who cant or dont pay because they can then get some sort of government tax or insurance scam.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX sent me defective merchandise and authorized the return, but refuses to give me the return info until I cancel the dispute with the credit card company. Once they get the return and accept it, I will gladly cancel the dispute. I think its against federal law to blackmail to cancel a dispute to honor a return that they already authorizzed.
