Consumer Complaint: Synchrony Bank is another creditor that has harassed me and intentionally marred my credit for years ; and for unclear reasons. I paid off the XXXX XXXX account and not only did they fail to close the card, they continued to allege I had a XXXX dollar balance and put a charge-off on my credit. This is the same bank that alleged I owed the XXXX dollars and put a lien on my home causing a divorce and physical injuries to myself and my children as we were literally entrapped in a sick home and unable to sell until they became cooperative.

Consumer Complaint: I have had my JCPENNEY credit card for almost 4 years and each year they reduce my credit to the exact balance which increases my credit utilization on my credit report. I worked to pay down this card from XXXX to XXXX and now they have reduced my credit limit to XXXX. This makes my credit utilization at 95 %. When I called to see why they said they did an annual review of customer worthiness. I have never been late on a payment or missed a payment, they every year do this and make my credit score plummet. This is unfair and unwarranted.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for XXXX XXXX card ( operating under Synchrony bank ) as it was heavily advertised in late XX/XX/XXXX. I then flew to XXXX in late XXXX and returned back to NY on XX/XX/XXXX. I never received my credit card in the first place but someone stole it and made a purchase of {$570.00} in XXXX. I was never in XXXX myself As soon as I returned in NY in late XX/XX/XXXX, I called up the bank to notify them about the fraudulent transaction and that I never received the card in the first place. I called them numerous times- they acknowledged that it was a fraud and that their fraud team will get back to me within 60 days and that I do not have to pay for the fraudulent purchase. However, I never heard back from them again. When I called them again after a month, on XX/XX/XXXX, they told me that they claim was not submitted although I did inform them of the fraud. Now they no longer respond to my calls and I'm unable to reach them.

Consumer Complaint: SYNCB/CAR CARE SYNCARE SYN CRE reported on my credit score that I did not pay my bill and wrote off the amount left to be paid. I called the company 4 times to try to find out how my name was associated with the account and if it was my bill, why hadn't I been informed that I owed the company money. I spoke with representatives in customer service on 2 occasions a year a go and they were unable to find my name or social security number any where in the system. I spent hours on the phone with these patient women who really tried to help me but never could find my information. I tried again a few months ago but could not get beyond the automated system since I am not in it, I can't get information. After hearing about your organization I thought i would try again. Once more I could not access a human. The only reference I have to the account is that I am listed as a co-signer with XXXX XXXX. I was to be taken off of the account but had never received a bill or any notices from the bank. I was able to find a partial account number but nothing else. I, as seen on my credit report have always paid my bills on time, without missing payments ever. Can you help me? I want to resolve this.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: I entered into a payment plan with Synchronicity Bank for my TJ Max Rewards credit card and set up an initial payment. The payment was not processed until a week later at which point due to a bank issue where a deposit was delayed, the payment did not go through. When I contacted Synchronicity I was told that there was no record of me having made a payment plan. I expressed my concerns over being reported for a 30 day late payment hence my attempt to make payment arrangements and was assured that as long as I made a payment prior to XX/XX/23 I would not be in any danger of my payment being reported as 30 days late to the credit bureaus. While on the phone with the reprsentative I made an online payment of {$110.00}, far more than I was told I would need to for the payment arrangement which seemed to have never occurred according to the representative. Again, my concern was the negative impact a 30 day late payment would have on my credit score. The payment was processed and I took a screenshot just to make sure in case I encountered yet another issue with this bank. I just received a credit alert that my score has decreased and the reason is that this bank reported me as being 30 days late despite my payment just a day prior to the cut off. Every bit of information I have been given by the representatives I spoke with at this bank has been incredibly faulty and misleading. I am now having to deal with a late payment that I made every good faith effort to avoid and have substantial proof of this.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX and XX/XX/2023 I tried to make 2 payments on my PayPal credit account and they rejected both payments and told me I did not have the funds in my account to pay which was false information with bank statements for evidence. They tried to charge me a fee for a late payment and returned payment but ultimately waved these fees and then they closed my account and hurt my credit score with no explanation and no contact about this information. Now my account is closed with a balance and they gave no reason why.

Consumer Complaint: We decided to stop using and close this Paypal Mastercard credit card because they made some changes to it and we didn't like the changes. Our last purchase using the card was around the middle of XX/XX/2022. I was waiting for the final payment date of XXXX XXXX, 2022 and then I was going to close the account. However, a fraudulent charge for {$59.00} was made on XXXX XXXX, 2022. I called ( they do not have an email, chat or other " papertrail '' type of service ) on XXXX XXXX, 2022 and disputed the charge. I then made full payment to them of the balance due minus the {$59.00} fraudulent charge. I kept checking on the website to verify the disputed charge and check on it. However, it still showed the {$59.00} charge and now it had late fees on top of that. I called again around the end of XX/XX/2022 and reiterated that I disputed the {$59.00} amount and how dare they charge me a late fee on top of that. I also made sure they should closed this account. They still show this {$59.00} fraudulent charge, the late fee and I'm sure they will start collections very soon.

Consumer Complaint: On Saturday XX/XX/2023 I opened a new CD with Synchrony Bank. The funds used to fund the new CD account was an INTERNAL TRANSFER from a Synchrony savings account. The funds were taken out of the savings account immediately and the CD was opened immediately. However the CD was now dated Monday XX/XX/XXXX and not the XXXX. This is not what I wanted as I have CD 's timed for reasons that not important for me to disclose. What and when I want to do with my money is not for the bank to decide. I opened the CD on the XXXX of XXXX because I wanted the CD to begin on XX/XX/XXXX and not the XXXX. I tried to correct the issue with Synchrony Bank by calling. First to a representative and then to a supervisor. I was told that that was their policy Period. Next business day and If I wanted to now cancel the new CD, there would be a fee. I do not have this problem with other banks. If I open a CD and fund it by an internal transfer, from the same bank, that CD starts on the day I open it regardless of holiday or weekend and not the " next business day '' as I was told by Synchrony was their " policy '' and the way their " system '' works. Unacceptable. An external transfer from another bank is one thing, an internal transfer is another.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 AND XX/XX/2023 I received these notices from Synchrony Bank that my accounts from JCPenney and Belks Department Store were being closed because of I made dishonored payments on other accounts with Synchrony Bank. They have since closed my accounts with Lowes and Rooms to Go Furniture store. I called Synchrony Bank on XX/XX/2023 and they connected me with the fraud Department the Rep I spoke with told me that there were several attempts to make a one-time payment to my account of {$3800.00} and of course I did not have that in my account to start with and I nor my husband ever tried to set it up as a one-time payment. I always call my payment in as it is due monthly XXXX the last of which was paid XX/XX/2023 of {$150.00}. I would never try to set up a one-time payment of such a large amount knowing that I do not have it in the bank. I had notifications set up on my phone that will tell me if something was wrong with my bank account I never got anything notifying me that such a large amount was trying to clear. They never told me how it was supposedly being set up time, day, or anything. I work an hourly paid job my husband is in the military. We live paycheck to paycheck to pay our bills we just purchased a house. There is no way that I would set up a one-time payment of over {$3000.00} to come out of my account
