Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened a dispute on a product sold on Amazon.com after the product became dangerous and caused one of our family members to experience a XXXX XXXX. I was not credited {$76.00}. Before filing this dispute, Amazon also gave me the runaround promising a refund and a free shipping label. After several attempts via phone and chat, NONE were provided. Amazon has lied to many customers repeatedly and i myself and my family have proof of this. Upon further investigation, we can only conclude others are facing this same issue with both Amazon and Synchrony Bank doing these horrible unlawful things and they are doing it together. ( Back to the Synchrony Dispute ).. I filled out the Dispute form on this same said day and gave all of the required documentation and information requested. I was not ever credited even temporary on my account and this bank is not cooperating in any way shape or form via chat, and or phone. This bank is not following The Fair Credit and Billing Act of 1974 and has no regard for their customers or the laws setfourth under our legal systems by congressional ruling. I highly suggest you look into this unfair and corrput Billing and Banking practices, as we are now pursuing a class action against both corrupt " companies '' Thank you

Consumer Complaint: I called Synchrony Bank as they turned off my physical paper statements for no known reason. They have billed me amounts that are significantly different than the purchases I have made with Amazon.com and I have no way of tracking these purchases as they could not help me. They have no online system in place to view statements or transactions at Synchrony Bank. They suggested I link the accounts, which I did. This did not help as all sign-in attempts were unsuccessful and the CS rep could not help. I asked for a manager and she advised there is no manager available. I was not able to view my transaction history to match it with Amazon 's online purchase history and therefore, she suggested I dispute the bill. To which I replied dispute what charge???? I can not see what is accurate and not, I just know they amount the statement amount is much larger than my purchase history for the past XXXX months and I have no way to verify it. XXXX was the Rep. that spoke to today and she requested a manager at my request. There was no manager today to go over this. Unfortunately, without statements I have nothing to attach. It used to be that we could view all of this on Amazon, but since Synchrony took over this is no longer the case.

Consumer Complaint: My HYS account was restricted all of sudden. I talked to them about the issue. They told it would be solved. After 2 days a person calls me while I was busy working at XXXX. I said I was busy and called back later. The person was saying she was from synchrony bank and started asking sensitive information. I was suspicious about the call and thought someone was trying to scam me. By the way the person was very rude on phone. I didnt give them sensitive information due to that suspicion. Later I came to know after talking on XXXX in mobile app that the person calling was real. But after 3-4 days of restricting the account they even restricted me from signing in into the account in mobile app. I have been calling them multiple times they say they will unrestrict account in 2-3 days but it has already been 10 days. Nobody lets me know what is the problem. I never had these kind of problems with other banks. I am in acute need of money that is in my HYS account.

Consumer Complaint: PAYMENT MISALLOCATION - SYNCHRONY IS CHARGING ME HIGH INTEREST ON AMOUNTS I PAID OFF IN XX/XX/2023 AND REFUSES TO CORRECT THEIR MISALLOCATION. Lowe 's Synchrony XXXX Stmt balance total was {$7700.00} broken down as follows : " Regular '' XXXX ; " Fixed Pay Reduced APR '' 7.99 % {$7000.00} ; " Reg Deferred Interest/With Pay '' XXXX. I paid {$720.00} on XXXX plus {$130.00} on XXXX ( XXXX was minimum monthly pmt required and was to be applied to promotional 7.99 % balance ). Settings on my account was " Standard Allocation '' - excess payments will be applied to non-promotional balances first. I called Synchrony on XXXX and requested allocation of the XXXX pmt as follows : {$720.00} to Regular and {$260.00} to Deferred. They did not allocate the payment as I requested and still have not done so. I called again on XXXX with same request, but nothing was corrected. In fact, instead of applying {$260.00} to Deferred, they added it to my promotional balance as though it were a new purchase so I'm now paying 7.99 % on this amount, which I paid off on XXXX. On XXXX, I mailed paper letter with backup requesting same correction. Synchrony 's response was I should file a Dispute. I've sent multiple additional messages thru their online message portal. I've received conflicting responses : issue is resolved ; they'll correct & get back to me ; I should file a dispute ; it can't be corrected because I didn't make the request within 60 days, etc. My latest stmt dated XXXX still shows " Regular '' balance is XXXX, so I'm being charged 26.99 % interest on a balance I paid off on XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I have CareCredit card that I paid off XX/XX/2024, and I did not receive any communication from Synchrony Bank until last week, saying I still owe a balance of over {$3000.00}. I made an electronic payment of {$3300.00} XXXX and it posted to my bank account XXXX. I called Synchrony Bank and they asked me if I " received a check in the mail '' for the amount I paid. I never got any communication from them since XXXX, and I got 2 text messages this week, showing I have an outstanding balance of {$3000.00}, as well as a missed payment. However, I can't access my account, as it was closed. They also told me I never signed up with their online service, which I know is wrong. I always use online services to manage my credit accounts. They claim itis because of a refund check they sent me, but I either never got it or never cashed it. I am on the phone now with them and they are giving me the runaround, and not crediting my account properly. I know they have had issues in the past with Consumers, and I hope you can look into this.
