Consumer Complaint: I received a summons for this account without any previous communication from them. In addition on the very same day they filed suit they mailed a settlement letter giving XXXX days to settle. The letter was back dated but the post mark clearly shows it was mailed the same day as they filed their lawsuit so they had no intention in honoring their settlement offer or allowing the XXXX days to settle or negotiate. In addition I have tried to contact this so called company on multiple occasions only to be told only XXXX agents are handling this account and the XXXX agents are never available and will return my call but they never do. This company is using underhanded tactics and have committed multiple FDCPA violations.i will be asking for the lawsuit to be dismissed and for Arbitration per the terms and conditions of the contract that governs this account.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a credit card with Synchrony bank to finance a new HVAC system. Terms were 0 % interest for 18 months. I set it up on auto pay with my bank. 18 months later, I of course forgot about the 18 month period. They charged my {$2800.00} in interest. No warning, not email. Nothing. This is predatory lending. I can't believe there aren't any requirements to at least give fair warning to customers that the promotional period is expiring. I would have simply paid it off. I am so angry. Of course I have spoken with a rep and their supervisory to no avail. tis is how banks get a bad name. Please help!

Consumer Complaint: Submitted a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. Synchrony bank closed my dispute shortly after without any investigation. Called in to re-open dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. Dispute was closed again with no investigation. On XX/XX/XXXX, dispute was reopened. This went back and forth numerous times, until the dispute was closed again with no investigation conducted. On XX/XX/XXXX, was told dispute was denied. No investigation was done ( again ). Called in again on XX/XX/XXXX and again on XX/XX/XXXX because of repeated difficulty to reach a human agent. Now told to fax my evidence ( for the first time ). I did. Received voicemail from Synchrony acknowledging receipt of fax on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, told no fax was ever received. Dispute was closed again. Told to fax again. I faxed again. XX/XX/XXXX. On hold for 24 minutes with an agent only to have the call drop. Called again, told no fax was ever received. Throughout the entire 4+ months, no investigation was ever conducted. No information was requested from me. I still have not received my money back.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Lowe 's synchrony credit card account. In XXXX I called to get a balance because they claimed my payment hadn't been made. Upon checking I saw that no payment had been processed through my bank account. Lowe 's synchrony card is XXXX of the hardest cards to transact with online, payment was probably scheduled and just simply fail to process. I paid my late fee, paid off my balance and close the account. Afterwards I received a notice that I owed {$5.00} and change, I disregarded that notice since I had paid the balance requested including late fee, I have now received notice of a new balance that is {$7.00} in change, call Lowe 's for an explanation because my bill was paid late, there was an additional interest charge. It is not my fault that Lowe 's synchrony is hard to pay online, it is not my fault that Lowe 's synchrony doesn't possess the hardware to calculate accurate balances on the day of payment. I paid the balance requested, including late fees on the day of account closure. The contract is settled. Now Lowe 's is threatening my credit rating and charging me {$2.00} a month as a late fee, on an interest fee because of a late payment on a settled and closed account. This is credit harassment at its finest.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Complaint Against Synchrony Bank for Inaccurate Credit Reporting Dear Sir/Madam , I am writing to file a formal complaint against Synchrony Bank concerning the inaccurate reporting of my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX account XXXX to the XXXX major credit bureaus : XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. This complaint is submitted in hopes of resolving an ongoing issue that has negatively impacted my credit report and score. The discrepancy involves the reported first date of delinquency. Synchrony Bank has erroneously reported the first date of delinquency as XX/XX/XXXX. This is incorrect. The actual first date of delinquency occurred in XX/XX/XXXX, when my account was 30 days late. Moreover, my account was closed on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX which further contests the possibility of a first date of delinquency in XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX This inaccurate reporting has unjustly affected my credit standing. Despite multiple attempts to rectify this error directly with Synchrony Bank, the issue remains unresolved. The persistence of this inaccurate information on my credit reports is a cause for significant concern and distress. I hereby request the CFPB 's assistance in investigating this matter. I seek a correction of the reported delinquency date to reflect the accurate first date of delinquency in XX/XX/XXXX and the acknowledgment of my account 's closure in XX/XX/XXXXXXXX Thank You
