Consumer Complaint: In working with Freedom Debt Relief I was able to obtain a settlement for my Discount Tire/Synchrony Car Care account on XX/XX/. The total owed was {$680.00}, but was settled for {$410.00} to be paid in three payments. The 1st payment due by XX/XX/ for {$130.00}, the 2nd due by XX/XX/XXXX for {$130.00}, and lastly the 3rd due by XX/XX/XXXX for {$130.00}. All three payments were sent in and cashed by XXXX. I continue to receive emails and texts messages from them saying I still owe {$210.00} on this account. When I called on XX/XX/XXXX and I was told that on XXXX they only received a {$30.00} check and that is why my settlement was forfeited and I owe. I explained I have copies of the checks showing they were for the correct amount and endorsed on the back by Synchrony, the representative told me the best I could do was to dispute it. I was transferred to disputes where I provided all documentation showing my account was paid in full and the checks were mailed earlier than the due day. The dispute was submitted, but when I asked if there was a reference number, a case number, an email to be sent, or even a confirmation phone call the representative told me no. I have tired everything to resolve this as this account should be settled, but synchrony is taking advantage of me in a desperate time and continuing to report a balance owed on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a gold coin through XXXX XXXX and did not recieve the coin.I used paypal mastercard and opened a dispute with them.I sent them the pictures of the empty boxes and police report.They sent me a letter last week stating they have approved the dispute in my favor and have credited my account in the amount of {$2100.00}. I did not see the money being credited to my account, so i called them to day and was informed that no credit has been issued and that letter was issued because of a technical glitch. I have sent them the pictures of the tampered box which was used to send the gold coin and the police report multiple times to them and they deny that they have received it.I spoke to a supervisor by the name of XXXX and she says that she can not see any documents sent over by me. The letter from last week said that after revieweing the evidence they are issuing the credit.The credit company is giving me various conflicting responses.

Consumer Complaint: I have setup recurring payments with my bank and Synchrony has received them. They are changing payment dates and reflection double payments in XXXX payment period and then saying I have not made payments and requesting fees. They are changing due dates for payments, not sending any notice of change and their online systems are never work so I am unable to every get any information about my account in any way. They only function the phone systems provide it to make a payment but nothing else.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I took out a loan for a XXXX XXXX and my loan was with SYNCB ( Synchrony Bank ) the payment on this loan was {$410.00} per month on a 60 month term. I called them in XXXX to find out what happens to the overage that is showing on my loan with the payoff coming up in XXXX of XXXX. I was told that overage was late fees. They had charged me over XXXX late fees ( {$39.00} each ) in the time of the loan. However in XXXX when they billed me the balance of {$2200.00} I said I needed more time to pay. I always paid my payment before the end of the month and added extra many times to the payment to cover the fee. Per my credit report you can see I have never been noted as late with this loan until after the loan term when they asked for the total amount. By the way I paid the entire amount of {$2200.00} by bill pay with my bank before the end of XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX they have just reported me as late when I have no balance left on my loan. This bank should not be allowed to do loans. They have extremely poor customer service!. They did not in my opinion apply my loan payments correctly but instead collected my late fees and added them to the end of the loan while charging me additional interest on them so they could make more money. They have no online system to update the consumer and provide current account info or records. When I asked for proof of the fees they charged they sent me XXXX statements in the mail. Not even in the same package but individually. I request this group be looked into for poor business practices Thank You!

Consumer Complaint: I have worked for XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX years, On XXXX XX/XX/23, I logged into my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX member account and found a transfer and purchased made without my permission since my personal information like my SSN, date of birth, and possibly other IDs have been compromised. They mailed me a new card a few months ago, which I have not activated yet due to identity theft, and they do not trust me as the owner of the account event though I have been with them for XXXX years or more. They do not allow me to activate my card for the last 3 months. However, they allowed the hacker ( XXXX ) to make a transfer under my name. So, I called Synchrony Bank again to let them know about it, but still want more info from me since refused to accept that I am the owner of the account. I sent them some of the information they needed from me but wanted my utilities bills, which I have told them time and time again I do not have have because I live in a group home.

Consumer Complaint: This has been an ongoing issue with Synchrony bank. 1. They overcharged me in interest. 2. They told me they would correct this., they did NOT. 3. The original products were defective. 4.They told me they would discount the product. They didnt. 5. Now theyre trying to ruin my credit on something that should have been resolved months ago. 6. I emailed them an offer to just settle the account and be done with it. No response. So now Im sitting here with sub par products that were overpriced to begin with and never worked properly. Theyre also trying to ruin my credit. Needless to say I will NEVER do business with them again and I was a good customer of theirs until this happened and I had to file several complaints without satisfaction. Im fighting a XXXX XXXX and dont need this XXXX. Not only was I receiving harassing phone calls from synchrony now Im getting calls from their partners in crime collection agency as seen in the attached screenshot. There seems to be multiple accounts. I have no idea why.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX this year, I made a purchase with Ashley furniture. I decided to make this purchase on a new Ashley store credit card via Synchrony, partially due to the advertising promotion that I would receive a {$100.00} visa prepaid card by mail so long as I met the following conditions : purchased over {$2900.00} of more, new credit card, valid for purchases between XXXX and submitted a claim by XX/XX/23. I met all of those conditions : purchased over {$7000.00} of products, purchase date of XX/XX/23 and filed the claim on XX/XX/23. Despite submitting a claim, after waiting 1 month I received an email response saying it was invalid. No explanation. After inquiring for more detail on why I was invalid for the claim, I have been in a holding pattern for more than 7 months waiting for an update. Specifically, the email response was that it was escalated for further review and that is the ONLY explanation I have received over the last XXXX months, despite following up, calling over 3 times, and asking for more information on when it would be resolved. As of the last ask for a status, I did not even receive a response AT ALL, despite the automatically reply that they would get back to me in XXXX business days - it has been XXXX weeks. I am very frustrated with the misleading marketing materials and may have chosen to use my personal XXXX XXXX credit card for my purchase to get the points if I would have known they would not honor a promotional offer they highlighted to me when I signed up for the card!

This month in XXXX that promotional period ended for 3 of the purchases for XXXX % at least thats what it shows on my statement! It looks as if they added the interest of the full purchase amount from six months ago. But it still wouldnt equal the amount that they are charging. The one intital charge of {$300.00} on XX/XX/XXXX now has a balance of {$86.00} but they charged me {$30.00} in interest? If I only owe {$86.00} how are they charging interest at the full {$300.00} initial amount times the 6 months. If I knew this acted as a payday loan I wouldve never used this card. Nowhere in the disclosure does it tell me the initial amount is what is charged at the end of the promotion for the APR at XXXX % Regardless of what youve paid it down to. Times the six months promotional interest missed. Theyre still charging monthly interest as if you still owe the full amount from 6 months ago. How are they calling this a promotional period when they just tack on all of the interest that you missed in the promotional period time when it ends? This is a scam. How can a company that operates this shady way be trusted consumers can not rely on these sorts of practices. They set you up that your account could never be paid off.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I suffered a severe XXXX. Once out of the hospital I went into extensive rehab and eventually moved to an assisted living facility. I had been a XXXX XXXX but had to give it up and close my business. My daughters had to sell my house and pay off all debts. Since I no longer was doing work I didnt need my business accounts including my Lowes account. And since I had moved several times wasnt receiving my statements which were at a XXXX balance any way. The Lowes account was furthest from my mind. In XXXX of XXXX I received a notice from Synchrony Bank that my account was overdue for a total of {$2300.00}. I requested statements that covered the charges made. They were online charges for tools and supplies that were sent to out of town addresses. I did not make these charges and filed a fraud report in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter that they had approved my fraud claim and received statements from Lowes to that affect. However, early this month ( XXXX ) I received a statement from Lowes for {$1800.00}. When I called about it I was told that it was deemed that I was responsible for those charges anyway. When asked how they determined that, I got no further explanation, in fact they were very rude and indicated that there was no one else I could talk to about this. Since then I have made two minimum payments to protect my credit. I did not make or authorize these charges! I do not owe them. They are not mine or my responsibility.
