Consumer Complaint: Paypal sent me a bill for a credit balance that I owe? They sent me a credit for {$10.00} and then turned around and charged me a late fee ( {$12.00} ) for not paying the {$10.00} payment which was more than the original debt. I don't understand how I got the debt in the first place? Paypal has always been paid from my bank account for the monthly charges, i.e. XXXX, etc. You can't make sense out of the debt because you can't be connected to a representative. It's just like a rat maze. I am frustrated beyond belief. Please help me!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 at XXXXXXXX XXXX I bought a car part online. XXXX plus XXXX set XXXX At XX/XX/23 at XXXX I got a text from synchrony saying they declined my purchase for suspicious activity. Asked if it was correct and I responded with Yes. At XX/XX/23 at XXXX I got a text from synchrony saying since they declined my transaction and if it was legit go ahead and repurchase the item. At XX/XX/23 at XXXX I repurchased the item. On XX/XX/23 I received my item twice. 2 orders of the same item. I waited for almost a week to see what synchrony was going to do about this since they said the declined my first purchase. They charged me twice. They never cancelled the first order as their text message stated plus the next day they reduced my credit line even though I have a perfect payment history. I called them and they said I should return the extra orders and they would refund me the difference back to my card. So I returned them. I was credited XXXX back for my XXXX and XXXX credited back for the gasket set of XXXX from the auto part store online. I was charged a {$7.00} restocking fee on each item so twice and I had to pay to ship the items back to them each item {$13.00} so 2 charges of that. I purposely paid the shipping charges on that same card so all info is showing for them. I called them back on XX/XX/23 to talk to representative to get refunded back for their mistake and she said they don't give refunds back for shipping or the {$7.00} fees. So I am out of {$43.00} for their mistake and 1 person telling me to do return the items because I will get re-imbursed for it and another telling me no refunds! Plus the day after XX/XX/23 they cut my credit line back which also effects my credit history and I have a perfect payment history with all cards and etc.

Consumer Complaint: CareCredit never reached out to me until I found out it was in collections/charged off and I tried to get in touch with them. I couldn't provide any account information as i never had a physical card, unless there may have been one in app and I wouldn't have had access to that any longer. I paid in app and it was considered paid and I hadn't heard anything saying otherwise. No emails, letters in the mail, or attempts to reach me regarding this so called debt that was already paid in full and certainly not late. First and foremost this account from several years ago was already paid in full via the app within 2 months of receiving the dental work. I don't know where CareCredit gets off saying their information is valid. It's not. And also CareCredit not informing me of this " debt '' before marking it negative, is completely on them. I have reported the fraud to the bureaus, and I have my legal team ready to fight. Also I received very threatening calls on behalf of the company to get the funds. That is a violation of FDCPA. And I believe there are several other issues that this company went against the rules. This debt was supposedly already paid for by another party, and closed so not only did they charge me, and I paid but my credit score and reports have suffered tremendously because of this debt that is less than XXXX CareCredit will be hearing from my lawyers. They also removed this and re-added it to my credit report several times which I believe is illegal, despite being paid off by me then supposedly also some other company paid it off.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Rooms to Go credit card. Was approved for 0 % interest for 24 months. When I looked at the breakdown of my payments because the balance was not reduced by payment amounts. It turns out they have been applying a big portion of my payment to some payment card security. My 1st payment I paid {$150.00} and {$54.00} of my payment was applied to payment card security. Apparently its a percentage of my balance because every month its a few dollars less being applied to this security card. When I called they offered to cancel but, said they couldnt retro to date of inception because I supposedly checked it off when I applied on line in XX/XX/2023. Which is not the case but, if I did it was unknowingly and must have been hidden in the fine print is my guess. This is not something I would have purchased as this would defeat the purpose of me taking advantage of the 24 months interest free promotion.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I am a XXXX XXXX in the state of Florida And I am currently the victim of a scam and fraud committed by synchrony bank care credit. I have asked this company for 10 months to send me paper statements and they have never complied. When they finally sent one statement for XX/XX/2023 I noticed they were automatically charging me a late fee of {$41.00} a month when in fact my payment was never late. They are also in violation of refusing to send me my statement probably knowing I would see the scam. When I call their customer service they said they could only remove XXXX late fees of the XXXX fees they charged me.
