Consumer Complaint: I had about ten credit ( maybe more ) cards with Synchrony and they arbitrary closed them all. All the balances on them are paid off except for one with a {$220.00} balance. On Thursday, XX/XX/2023, is when the cards were closed. That Tuesday and Wednesday I had pending charges, on Friday morning the charges were cleared, but with this credit card with PayPal when charges clear I get the cashback instantly, but since Synchrony closed the account, they will not pay the cashback. With the reduction of the massive buying power my credit score will significantly decrease. All summer I worked hard to build my credit score. I used the credit cards and paid the balance off frequently, rarely kept a balance. Prior outstanding balances are paid off. I eat off several credit cards and then pay them off. Now Black Friday is coming, I desire to carry a balance into Spring. I planned this Black Friday since XXXX by building a massive buying power, to spend only a portion of it so I can keep my credit utilization below 30 % and not max out one credit card to not significantly impact my credit score in a bad manner. My credit report has many inquiries due to mainly applying to Synchrony Bank, no one will lend to me due to the many inquiries even though my score is at a XXXX, no derogatory information, and all balances with other lines of credit is at a {$0.00} or up to 5 % utilized. As mentioned before, I did this to shop within a responsible budget for Black Friday ; to get things my parents never bought me as a child and now I work and can afford through credit to maximize the reward system. This is not a duplicate complaint but a new complaint. I am complaining about the cashback that is owed to me.

Consumer Complaint: I took out a XXXX interest to 2 year loan from Synchrony Bank for {$26000.00}. I called and asked to set the payments to pay off the loan in full on time for the free interest. They said they did. After making a payment of {$660.00} evey month for 2 years I called and they said they set the payment wrong and now I would have to pay the remaining balance and all the interest since the beginning. They told me I had to pay {$10000.00} to pay off the loan in full, but they won't recognize the payoff, they keep charging more interest, and won't refund the original interest. They owe me {$13000.00} in over payments. I have contacted them 6 times now by phone and twice by email. The respond by email saying I need to call. When I call they say they need to have a manager call back but they never do. They are very dishonest and I would like help getting my money back please?

Consumer Complaint: HELLO, I APPLIED FOR A SYNCHRONY JEWELRY ACCOUNT LAST WEEK FOR A LOCAL JEWELRY STORE I AM PLANNING TO MAKE A PURCHASE FROM. UPON APPLYING FOR THE CARD, I WAS TOLD I WAS DENIED EVEN THOUGH I UPLOADED A VIDEO/PICTURE OF MYSELF, AS WELL AS MY IDENTIFICATION. TODAY I GOT A LETTER ( ATTACHED ) STATING THE APPLICATION DUE TO LACK OF IDENTITY VERIFICATION. I CALLED XXXX TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE WHO ADVISED ME THE DECISION CAN NOT BE REVERSED OR ESCALATED. I EXPLAINED THAT I PROVIDED ALL THE DETAILS NECESSARY TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY DUE TO MY FRAUD ALERT ON MY CREDIT REPORT. THE JEWELRY STORE PURCHASE SALE ENDS THIS MONTH, AND I WAS TOLD I CAN NOT APPLY AGAIN UNTIL 30 DAYS. I FIND THIS VERY UNREASONABLE AS I HAVE PROVIDED SUFFICIENT PROOF OF MY IDENTITY. THE APPLICATION DENIAL LETTER IS ATTACHED, AND HAS THE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO PULL THE APPLICATION. I HAVE ALSO ATTACHED A FRONT AND BACK PICTURE OF MY IDENTITY.

Because I had opted to recieve electronic statements, I can not access my statements now to see how much I owe or how much cashback I got. They sent me a text message and email to update my address but it is the same address I signed up with. I feel that they are either incompetent or wasting my time. If you already have my email, why won't you send me a link to access my statements? You can easily verify my identity via several software vendors out there.

Consumer Complaint: I found out that a lady the cleans our office to our apartment we own took a picture of my Synchrony Belks MasterCard and opened a XXXX XXXX account and XXXX XXXX account and XXXXXXXX XXXX account and was purchasing services with out my promission. I called the police and filed a police report and called Synchrony Bank Fraud division to dispute and have a new card replacement and go over the the charges, They Synchrony credited my account back from the fraudulent charges but after 3 months they reversed the charges and told basically I lied. The fraud investigator from the fraud department was extremely rude and told me I was a lier and I did these charges, I'm XXXX XXXX XXXX and I do not lie. So I called and talked to he's supervisor and she reopened the fraud claim and for me to resend the police report and signed documents that Synchrony sent me, So the investigator who is now handling the fraud dispute stated they guarantee I will be credited back and i'm not responsible for the fraud transactions. I called and spoke to the investigator on XXXX again and he stated they are already crediting my account back. Now on XX/XX/ I get a emailed letter to my account stated that I benefited from these fraud transactions and I am fully responsible for the payment. Well the police have arrested the lady who stole my information and has already gone to court and she plead guilty and has already paid back the Money through the courts and now is on felony probation. Clearly the fraud division with Synchrony is not helping and doesn't care about they customer and I will take this all the way to the courts before pay this, In big letter its says your not responsible for fraud transactions and I sent the bank the court documents and police report and XXXX from the lady who stole my card information.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I purchased furniture from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) - items purchased included a bedroom set ( King Size bedframe, 2 nightstands, storage bench, dresser, warranty on these items, delivery fee for these items ) and a living room sofa set. Less than 2 weeks into ownership of the bedroom set, my wife and I woke up at 3 in the morning because our bedroom crumbled beneath us while we were sleeping. Upon going into the store and requesting a refund for the bedroom set, they offered an even exchange to replace with a new set. However, I showed them on the showroom floor why the bed 's design is flawed and an even exchange would not be acceptable as the quality was not as advertised. After much back and forth with the store, they resisted giving us a refund so we filed a dispute with Synchrony Financial on XX/XX/2023. I kept communication with the store and continued to leave honest, yet negative reviews, on their social media so they finally agreed to refund us for the bedroom set and pick up the items over over multiple days in XXXX. The items were all removed from our house by XX/XX/2023, however, as of XX/XX/2023, no refund has been processed for the items that we are no longer in possession of. I called Synchrony Financial Services as I noticed my auto-pay was getting ready to process from my account on XX/XX/2023 and they explained they closed my dispute altogether because the store did not respond to their inquiry. The only option Synchrony gave me was to open a new investigation as of today with different verbiage around the items not being delivered. I asked them to raise an executive complaint about this to which they responded that they do not have an escalation process to get complaints to executive management. Our current balance with Synchrony Financial is {$5600.00} when it should reflect the reduction for the cost of the bedroom set ( {$4300.00} ) so our balance should only be {$1200.00}.
