Consumer Complaint: I am writing another complaint concerning my Mortgage. I received a letter from SPS stating on XXXX XXXX that I was offered a Fresh Start Modification but did not accept the offer of loss mitigation assistance by the established deadline. I told SPS that the modification offer that was offered was unaffordable for me. I have constantly asked SPS to make my mortgage more affordable and comfortable. We are living in hard times now. I am constantly trying to work with SPS and I am not getting anywhere with them. They are not trying to work with me at all. I understand that I am behind on my mortgage but I will continue to stay behind when you want work with me. This home is not yours nor mind. I did not receive any money for this house from no loan company in my hand. All the figures are just on paper and SPS will not work with me. Can I be given a comfortable mortgage of XXXX please. All SPS love to do is send out foreclosure letters to make me loose the house. This is A discrimination case because I am XXXX and also a unfair treatment case as well. SPS can you please reevaluate everything and come up with a comfortable mortgage that I can pay. I am under a Permanent Hardship.Thanks

Consumer Complaint: SPS has not been reducing the mortgage balance by the payments they are receiving. We have paid XXXX XXXX through IL Housing Assistance along with the reg mortgage payment, and I don't see where the mortgage balance has been lowered. I have a called and email them to look into this matter. SPS has a terrible score with the XXXX XXXX XXXX with numerous consumer complaints. This company should be closed and investigated. Consumer Complaint: I made 12 payments of {$1000.00} from XX/XX/2022 XXXX XX/XX/2022 ( I made two payments of {$1000.00} on XXXX ). Each payment includes {$270.00} that was made to escrow. So I made a total {$3200.00} to escrow on XXXX. My Beginning Escrow Balance on XX/XX/2022 was {$780.00}, the Additions to Escrow is {$3200.00} ( not {$3000.00} ), the PROPERTY TAXES is {$2200.00}, the HAZARD INS is {$1200.00}, and the ESCROW REFUND is {$510.00}. So my Ending Escrow Balance of XXXX should be XXXX + XXXX - XXXX - XXXX XXXX = {$110.00}, not - {$150.00} which shows on the statement. The balance of my escrow balance on XXXX is {$1700.00}. I made {$1000.00} on XX/XX/2022, and {$270.00} should be applied to escrow that results balance of {$2000.00}, and after {$2200.00} tax payment from escrow account, it would result a total balance- {$160.00} on XXXX ( Not - {$430.00} which shows on the statement for mistake ). The company didn't applied my payment on XX/XX/2022 to my escrow account. I contacted them to correct the mistake. The replied me something not relative to my concern.

Consumer Complaint: I closed on a property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XXXX, IL on XX/XX/XXXX. My Mortgage Lender was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX based in XXXX XXXX, Mo. My first mortgage payment was due on XXXX XXXX XXXX The amount of my mortgage is {$1600.00} I paid that full mortgage amount a week before it was due to the mortgage lender ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and included the payment stub I was given at the closing. By XX/XX/XXXX, I had realized that my mortgage check had not cleared. I reached out to the lender, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to ask if they had received the check. After reaching out to them several times, I was told that they had indeed received the check, but they were trying to figure out if they should wire the money to the new mortgage company who had purchased my mortgage. I had not received any official notification from the new company at this time. I specifically asked whether I needed to write a new check to this new company and was told " No, They were looking into it ''. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Select Portfolio Services stating that they had purchased my mortgage- the first official notice I had from this company. The next day, I received another letter from Select Portfolio Servicing stating that I was past due on my first payment and I owed them {$6500.00}. I assumed this was a scam and reached out to my loan officer at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and was told that this was indeed the correct company but that the amount of my monthly loan payment should be {$1600.00}. I reached out to Select Portfolio Servicing ( twice ) to figure out what was going on and was told that I was in default for not paying the first payment and my new monthly payments had doubled in price. Keep in mind, I was already considered in default BEFORE I even knew who had purchased my loan. I was given no chance to even send a payment to the new company. They told me that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had not informed them of any check they had received and that there was nothing I could do. By XX/XX/XXXX, I was finally informed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that my original check to them as voided and shredded. No one informed me nor Select Portfolio Servicing until this point. Once I figured out what was going on, I immediately paid Select Portfolio Servicing the first mortgage amount bringing me current with my payments. However, i am still considered in " default '' and they are demanding payments of twice my mortgage amount each month. I can not afford to pay this amount each moanth and neither company will respond to my complaints. I have officially contested the " default '' and heard nothing./ I suspect fraud. Please help!

All mortgage payments were made timely and in full. Due to misapplied and not applying payments properly penalties, higher interest rates and collection fees were added to the loans. SPS has not been able to restore the loans to the correct amount owed. Hired XXXX XXXX in XXXX - XXXX Hired XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX in XXXX to present We provided all paperwork, checks to show full payment and SPS still has not responded. I have spent close to {$30000.00} in attorney fees to get this resolved. I have fully paid SPS and have never missed a payment.

Consumer Complaint: In your response to complaint XXXX, this is what you wrote : Insurance Claim - In your inquiries, you stated that the adjusters worksheet for the wind damage was not being accepted by SPS. In review of our records, the adjusters worksheet for wind damage funds in the amount of {$18000.00} was received and accepted on XX/XX/XXXX. In your response, you clearly lied since I proved from an attached pfd ( which I am attaching again - pdf page.pdf ) that you had received the adjusters estimate for the wind portion on XX/XX/XXXX not as you claim on XX/XX/XXXX as quoted in the previous paragraph. On complaint XXXX you then claim you did receive the wind adjusters worksheet. In fact you write : The wind adjusters worksheet received on XX/XX/XXXX, was rejected due to no signed insurance letter received. Again, you clearly lied in complaint XXXX. Now this raises more questions that I want an answer to : 1. You state was rejected due to no signed insurance letter received. When was this relayed to me and how? I have proof of when this was relayed to me so may I suggest you do not lie again? 2. Where in the mortgage note does it state the following : i. you have a right to inspection other than for a foreclosure proceeding ; ii. You have a right to take MY insurance funds in case of natural disasters ( keep in mind the LTV on the loan you are servic ing is less than 15 % so I do not want lip service protect investors ... the land after demo costs will cover 5 times the remaining principal balance ) iii. You have an obligation to verify that the property is liveable ( I have a letter from your firm stating that is your responsibility. I am disgusted by your unethical behavior. You and XXXX XXXX do not care about consumers during natural disasters. You only want to make money and cut employees and let computers do the work. This hurts consumers.

Consumer Complaint: I fell behind in my mortgage payments in XXXX and when I got back on my feet, I applied for a mortgage modification. I sent in an application, bank statements and pay stubs. I then called to see if everything was in. I was told I needed a Verification of Employment. I asked if they could send me a form. They said they could not. I looked for a Verification of Employment form online and found one from XXXX XXXX I had my employer fill it out and send it in. I then called today, XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that the form was not accepted and that the file was noted on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent the form in XXXX. I then asked if they sent out a letter explaining what exactly they need and if they included a form. I was told that no letter was sent, no call was made, no form was sent and all that was sent was a letter telling me to apply for loss mitigation - while there is an open loss mitigation review with missing documents. I feel like waiting 3 weeks while my bank statements and pay stubs are expiring is unacceptable. I feel like I am not getting a fair review, or SPS is not handling my file correctly. I believe I should receive a single point of contact who should be overseeing this file. I am in foreclosure and fear losing my home and my lender is making me feel like they are not honestly reviewing my file.

Consumer Complaint: I have been working in good faith with my mortgage servicer since XX/XX/XXXX when I requested assistance due to XXXX XXXX and the reduction of my income and the increased burden of caring for my mother who had a XXXX and declined during the isolation of XXXX and required XXXX care until she passed away in XX/XX/XXXX. I had been able to start making payments on my mortgage in late XXXX but was told I could not until the forbearance process was complete. I was asked for the same documents multiple times and received missing information letters for items I had submitted. They requested my wife 's credit check as well as pay stubs which we provided in spite of the fact that she was not on the mortgage. After more than a year of calling to talk to a representative when a missing information request came in to make sure I had everything they wanted I finally got a notification that my file was complete on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter informing me that 2 items were missing or needed clarification. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another missing information letter along with a letter the same day declining my request. I have appealed and reached out to every department. I am including the most recent documents that I received and that I sent some were responded to by SPS and others have not been addressed. All of the requests for information stated that the foreclosure process would be stopped until the review was complete. This was not the case they just moved the sale date as if they had no intention or working with me. The closest I got to a resolution was on XX/XX/XXXX, when a representative from the ombudsman department asked if I could make 5 payments and provide a bank statement showing funds to prove I could make the payment. I did and the sale was postponed until the XXXX but the representative had told me she thought she could get me a modification if I made the 5 payments. I have been trying to get someone at SPS servicing to either review the my case. They are aware that I am working on getting a loan against my mom 's home which I sent them documentation that it transferred to me last month. My concern is that if they don't either reconsider my request for assistance or postpone the sale I will loose my home when I have the funds to make my payments and have for a long time. When I tried to make payments I was told I could not until the forbearance was approved. The strange thing about that is after talking to a manager for 2 hours and asking for a copy of the forbearance I was informed that I was declined back in XXXX of XXXX. Why if that was the case did they continue to work with me and request a credit check from my wife and pay stubs documenting her income and ability to pay part of the mortgage ( she is not on the mortgage ) if they had no intention of approving me for a modification or some assistance. We do not have a problem making the payments now and have not for a long while but we were told we couldn't make a payment until the forbearance was approved but we were apparently not in forbearance. I have been in Real estate for over 30 years and have helped clients with mortgage assistance in markets that had nothing to do with a global pandemic and I have never experienced anything like this. Its almost like no one is listening the request I am making is very common.

Consumer Complaint: This is an issue with the company fraudulantly requiring me to purchase property hazard insurance. I purchased the property XX/XX/XXXX, and the mortgage was sold to Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc ( SPS ) in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX a structural engineer determined that the building on the property was structurally unsafe and required demolition. Following relocation of the building tenants in XX/XX/XXXX, the building as demolished in XX/XX/XXXX, and the lot has remained empty with no structures. I notified the SPS in XX/XX/XXXX that I was not renewing the hazard insurance or flood insurance policy on the property due to the fact that there is no longer any building or other structure on the empty lot. I electronically sent documentation XX/XX/XXXX with the Certification of XXXX of demolition by the city for further proof that there is no longer any building. I continued to receive notice that SPS would purchase hazard insurance so I called the company again in late XXXX, and I was told that they had received my information and would make a note that there no longer is a building. In early XXXX I again received a notice and mailed a certified letter that again included the documentation proving that the building had been demolished and there is nothing to insure. Today I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that they purchased a hazard policy and are charging ithe cost to my escrow account. I feel the company is committing fraud by purchasing a hazard policy on a building that does not exist. Given the multiple times that I have communicated to them that there is no building on the lot, they can not claim that this was a simple error r that they were not aware of the lack of a structure.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23, I submitted a request for loan modification. On XX/XX/23, XX/XX/23, and XX/XX/23, I submitted all documents in support of my application. In between and most recently on XX/XX/23, Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. ( " SPS '' ) sent me incomplete application notice. This notice continues to request documents which are not applicable to me such as proof of pension income or loss and profit statement when I neither have pension or own business as is reflected on my application. SPS is not reviewing my application with reasonable diligence and is intentionally delaying the process so as to avoid having to modify my loan. SPS is intentionally preventing me assuming or assuming and modifying my former late husband 's mortgage on my property. Based thereon, SPS is intentionally interfering with my property rights as successor in interest to the real property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX.
