Consumer Complaint: I have been been trying to get a loan modification for over a year, and its been between XXXX different lenders XXXX XXXX XXXX and Select Portfolio Servicing. I do n't know how and why this note is being bounced back and forth for the past 8 years. I do n't understand why this being done without giving me notification and consent if I wanted to find another lender or not. After talking with another lender, I had requested a loan modification with Select Portfolio Servicing, and there is no trace of this at the request XXXX XXXX, they have not been able to produce the modification at all. I feel as I have been railroaded, and after that I was told by XXXX XXXX that they have put a {$5000.00} lien against me, I have not missed a payment. So I 'm not sure why and how this came about. Also I requested an escrow account for my taxes and insurance and was denied that as well. I currently am displeased with both companies.

Consumer Complaint: We were approved for a modification on XXXX/XXXX/2016 pending XXXX trial payments beginning XXXX XXXX, 2016. We made those payments and have made XXXX more monthly payments. On XXXX/XXXX/2016, I was told that I should have received the documents for the final modification 30 days after they received the last document, which was received on XXXX/XXXX/2016. On XXXX/XXXX/2016, the website showed that the Property appraisal was received. On XXXX/XXXX/16 I was told that they were working on final terms and we should receive a package any day. On XXXX/XXXX/16 we received a letter that SPS was waiting for information from a third party to complete the review. The letter stated that they received that information and they should be able to complete the review in 30 days. As of today, the file is still pending.

At no time did we have knowledge or authorize anyone to alter the Deed of Trust after we signed and notarized it. Consumer Complaint: I started a short sale process with Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ) in XXXX XXXX. To date, the short sale has not closed. While I understand a short sale can be a lengthy process, SPS has been negligent in the handling of this process. Starting in XXXX XXXX, I was told that I no longer have to pay the mortgage. Because of this information, my mortgage has gone unpaid for 11 months ( I paid XXXX ). I had NEVER missed or been late on a payment before this process started. Because SPS has created every possible scenario to delay the close of this sale, my life has been negatively impacted. Everything appeared to be going smoothly until mid-year XXXX XXXX XXXX. Sinec that time, SPS has asked me repeatedly for the SAME INFORMATION ( bank statements, pay stubs ). When I question why I have to keep providing the same information over and over, I 'm told that my previous submissions have " lapsed '' and I need to provide updated ones. I respond that they lapsed because no one is working to move the process forward, but those complaints fall on deaf ears. My real estate agent advised that they have requested the BPO from her FIVE TIMES for this same reason ( date lapse ). Since SPS is not a true mortgage company but a debt collection agency, it seems that it is adventageous for them to delay, delay, and further delay this process because it is more profitable for them to send me to an attorney for foreclosure proceedings. This is not fair to me as the consumer. I am a divorced, single mother of XXXX children. I started this short sale process because I can no longer manage the property that I am desparately trying to sale. I no longer live in the state where the property is located, and I do not have the resources to fix-up the house to make it suitable for renters. I am trying to do the right thing and they are not willing to assist. I have referred this case to their internal ombudsman department but the same delays continue to occur. Now, they are stating that the property is worth over {$38000.00}. Their original assessment in XXXX was that the property was worth appx. {$30000.00}. How has this increased so significantly when no changes have been made to the property? The offer that I received from a potential buyer was {$37000.00}. Is n't it strange that now, all of a sudden, the house is worth more than the offer that I received XXXX months ago? Upon researching the company, SPS was previosuly XXXX XXXX XXXX, a company that settled with XXXX and the FTC for over {$40.00} XXXX. They were charged with " engaging in a number of unfair, deceptive, and illegal practices in the servicing of subprime mortgage loans. '' History shows that this company has no desire to do the right thing for the consumer. My life is slowly being destroyed. Outstanding lines of credit have been closed due to my credit score being impacted by this process. They have NO desire to help me sell this house and it is severely impacting my life. What am I supposed to do? I do not receive any financial support from my ex-husband. Please help me!! I am experiencing extreme levels of stress due to this issue. I 'm at my wits-end with the whole process. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: I received a foreclosure letter from Select Portfolio Servicing on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This after they had turned me down for a Modification saying that they had not received all the information to review the modification and they were closing out the request. They consistently tell you that they did n't receive information or something was missing from the application, which is not true. I spoke with XXXX XXXX from the Ombudsman dept. On XXXX XXXX, and she told me the the foreclosure sale date would be on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. In researching this I noticed that the foreclosure sale had not been posted to any local papers. The law state that .... The foreclosure sale must be advertised in the official county newspaper where the property was located once a week for four consecutive weeks prior to scheduled sale date. This had not happened as of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Sale date set for XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I spoke with the foreclosing lawyer, XXXX XXXX XXXX and he referred me to his paralegal, XXXX XXXX. She told me the the foreclosure had been put on hold due to a dispute. I relayed that information back to the XXXX office at SPS and spoke with XXXX XXXX again. I informed her of the postponed foreclosure and she put me on hold to talk to her supervisor. She came back on and told me that they were working closely with the lawyer to keep the date of XX/XX/XXXX.I informed her that they would n't be taking the proper. She said they were doing it anyway. If they do this is an illegal process and I take issue of this. They are trying to set me up for failure with the modifications and then trying to foreclose on me .... illegally. The paralegal, XXXX XXXX, was in full agreement.

Consumer Complaint: I am extremely upset with Select Portfolio Servicing because they mishandle my account. I finish my XXXX trial payments and after I received my final modification packet, I am getting a huge balloon in the amount of {$110000.00} at the end of my loan. This is not acceptable because I never had a balloon before my loan was modify. I need to know from where this balloon is coming from My loan was with XXXX XXXX before it was transfer to SPS. However ; I have not been given an explanantion. This is really devistating because SPS is not respecting the guidelines I was Approved for the XXXX XXXX XXXX and without principle forgiveness despite being part of the hamp tier XXXX guideline. This is not what the XXXX XXXX XXXX offers. I have gone to workshops for struggeling homeowners like myself and have learn about all programs available. Therefore I am hoping that SPS can please explain why my loan was not offer Principle Forgivess nor a 2 % fix for the life of the loan.
