Consumer Complaint: I have requested the payoff release of lien XXXX for the amount of {$10000.00} per request from my lender on a hud 1 and title and tax buyer and taxes and my buyer is ready to close. The XXXX XXXX Police where the house is located has been watching the house because a squatter was living in the house when they entered XX/XX/XXXX. And the taxes have to be redeemed right away to avoid me loosing the house to the tax buyer for {$27000.00}. I would like the settlement payoff to be faxed to XXXX for {$10000.00} on property address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX because the taxes according to my County Clerks Office must be redeemed XX/XX/XXXX and I do not want to loose my buyer and the house is vacant to vandalism. My investor agreed to do this for me.

XXXX XXXX is investigating the ACH transaction. The Banker also explain to me that companies or merchants sometimes put through a ACH transaction using the bank account number and change the amount or change the name so that the transaction can go through.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to get some help and answers I was a previous client with ( XXXX XXXX ) they put me on a loan modification that was perfect and affordable for me at a payment of {$1500.00}. I was to sign my paperwork which I did after I made my final trial payment the paperwork I signed was incorrect, so my account manager had to resend the paperwork with correct wording which I signed had notarized and sent back. I was told to wait to start paying until my loan is permanently modified and I get my packet in the mail. So now this brings us to XX/XX/XXXX ' I received a letter advising that SPS is now my lender so I immediately called SPS as I was going through my modification waiting on the paperwork I was told by a representative at SPS that they are still waiting to receive my file to be patient well needless to say this went on for MONTHSSS. With this my mortgage is getting behind finally now we are in XXXX ' fed up with no answers and the run around I spoke to a supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX ' I explained my situation she advised me that SPS should have sent my paperwork out to me back in XX/XX/XXXX ' she stated she was going to have my matter escalated and resolved well again THE RUN AROUND AND NO RESOLUTION. I have tried to work numerous times and always different reps with SPS to get help and to date nothing and now I am being told that I am in foreclosure I had no notice mail notice or anything about this how appalled I am just to let SPS take my home right from me with no knowledge how unethical is that and all I got was the run around. I want to keep my home but I need some help as this was a big oversight and mess up with SPS and now im being punished SPS has failed me and failed to offer me any type of help or loan assistance. Can someone look into this matter and help me.

Consumer Complaint: Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. sent me a letter dated XX/XX/2020, stating that they were setting up an escrow account for insurance and/or taxes. They did not specify what the impound account is for, but the amount is consistent with homeowner 's insurance. I contacted them twice by U.S. mail and included documents proving that my payments for insurance and taxes are current. They have not responded, and they continue to bill me for an extra {$59.00} per month for their escrow account, even though they assured my XXXX insurance agent that they do not have an escrow account attached to my mortgage. I tried to pay my monthly mortgage payment on the Select Portfolio website today, but I can not do so without paying that extra {$59.00} for their unlawful escrow account. Select Portfolio has repeatedly tried to foreclose on my home in the past 5 years by falsely claiming that I did not make my monthly payments, and I have proof that I did make those payments. Now they are billing me for an escrow account to which they are not entitled.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 SPS ( Select Portfolio Servicing ) performed an " Audit '' of my mortgage account as documented by notice. Following the " Audit '' the account was paid in full with an escrow balance. The notice they sent claims the previous servicer of the account, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, overcharged interest rates on the ARM, improperly adding a floor rate cap. An overpayment of {$34000.00} on an original {$48000.00} mortgage occurred. The ARM interest charge apparently had been wrong since possibly the inception of the loan, but the lender will not give the borrower the specific loan details over the lifetime of the loan. The most recent interest rate adjustment by SPS was incorrect as documented by notice.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX is deceased and I ( XXXX XXXX executor of the estate ) have been trying to do a short sale on the the house since XXXX of 2020. I have XXXX XXXX with the Negotiators of PA working on the file. The bank, Select Portfolio Servicing, has been playing games the whole time. After an original offer of XXXX, We submitted a full price offer ( XXXX which is exactly what the XXXX came in at ) along with all of the supporting documentation. This updated offer and HUD was sent in the beginning of XXXX. The entire process keeps getting delayed because the bank does not give all of the missing items or required changes in one update. They will give one or 2 things which we do and send in, wait another 5 days for an answer then they will have more changes ( that could have all been given at one time ). The other issue is that the don't call or send any updates. you need to call in each time to find out what's going on with the file. this will significantly delay things unless you're calling in every day. The latest ridiculous change they came back with was to add the signers name for the LLC to the hud even though that's not how it will appear in the deed. the third problem with this company is you speak to a different person each time you call in and they don't give you accurate updates because they can't see all of the notes on the file. The way they are treating this file for a dead woman is atrocious. There asking price which matches the XXXX amount. there is no reason to delay this any further. All we are asking for is the approval on this file so I can close out my mothers estate and move on with my life and my grief.

Consumer Complaint: My home suffered flood damage in XX/XX/2017. Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. ( SPS ) has held {$16000.00} in insurance proceeds for as long as they have been servicing this mortgage. This in spite of proving and presenting SPS with {$63000.00} in receipts for out of pocket expenses, contractors and so on. This detailed information is sixty plus pages long and has been sent to SPS via attorney. At times SPS even denied to myself and my attorney they are holding any insurance funds. I had to hire this attorney to help me obtain the improperly held insurance proceeds. He has had no luck in dealing with SPS either. In fact he has found that the attorney for SPS can't get results either. If needed the following information is available : attorney contact for myself attorney contact for mortgage company I have sixty plus pages of documentation for out of pocket cost for repairs My attorney has much more specific information documenting the attempts to deal with SPS, there is LOTS of documentation. All I want is my insurance proceeds and attorney fees

Consumer Complaint: we have an 80. 20 mortgage and during covid applied for a 3 month deferment and at the end of the 3 months the mortgage company said we owed that 3 months back to them because they are saying it was a forbearance but from what I'm reading they can't demand the money back in one lump sum which they are. we were originally told the 3 months were being put to the end of the loan but now they are going back on their word. also they asked for hardship letter, proof of income, bank statements profit and loss statements etc multiple times which I've also read they can't do but they just keep telling us they aren't getting everything and to keep sending .it in again and again I feel like we are just getting lied to and deceived the company is SPServicing this is the company that did the 80 % mortgage. this is causing us a great deal of stress my husband is a XXXX and I am a front line worker
