Prior to answering to this complaint and resolving this billing error, on XX/XX/2021, Santander Consumer USA inc took an adverse action and continued collection activities. They accelerated debt collection activities by repossessing the vehicle and attempted to extort me for the sum of XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I paid off my lease with Chrysler Capital in XXXX by doing a lease buy out with my bank. In XXXX, I accidentally made my new loan payment to the lease with XXXX instead of my new bank loan. On XX/XX/XXXX, as soon as I realized this error I contacted XXXX. I spoke with a gentleman who assured me that since the account have been paid in full, the additional payment would be returned to me. After XXXX days of not receiving my monies back, I contacted XXXX again and they told me that I would need to provide a full copy of my bank account statement, with no redactions, in order to get my money back. This was never told to me and I informed the last that I would not be sending my personal identifiable information for my checking account. This is an invasion of my privacy. I asked for alternate options to which I was told that they understand my privacy concerns but that is their policy. They are making it difficult for me to get my money back. This is an unfair practice and a tactic to keep funds that dont belong to them.The funds were sent via ACH from my account through bill pay and those funds need to be returned to me. I tried speaking with a speaking with executive office and after an hour was told they would need to return my call. Pleas help.

Consumer Complaint: I called Santander to settle a closed account that was closed in 2015 due to repossession. I called from a recorded line and have verification that the account was settled for {$1500.00} - I told them this was all the savings I have as my family is homeless and they took the payment and swore 7 times that this would be taken off my credit report - I disputed the information with XXXX - providing receipts and the dispute came back as accurate and it was dismissed despite my verification. I still cant get a home for my children and I because of this appearing on my credit report - despite me paying this company and having them swear on a recorded line it was settled and would be removed from my credit report I have audio documentation and receipts. Im writing this from the car we sleep in. I cant sleep from anxiety this is causing. I have XXXX young children Please help

I never signed a XXXX set of paperrs and the dealer ship has not fixed an issue with the vehicle that they were aware of when I left the lot they had me take it to their collision center where they took photos of my vehicle and was promised to fix it that was a year ago.

Consumer Complaint: santader bank is based out of texas and they call 5-10 times a day looking for an unknown individual. They dont care about public complaints if you check online this company is facing alot of complaints they seem to conning their customers also. Have never dealt with them this phone is the only connection. Nb my email is XXXX Please note some of their alleged customers may be victims also.It is almost impossible to stop a rogue bank from harassing people because they seem to well financed.
