Consumer Complaint: A third party has contacted me numerous times about a debt that was previously paid. They continue to call on a monthly basis, threading and harassing me. Ive asked the repeatedly where they got the information. They state it came from Santander, but Santander denies this, says the debt is NOT owed, and doesnt know who this company is.

Consumer Complaint: I went to purchase a car at XXXX XXXX of XXXX. Im a military soldier and I make {$23000.00} a year. The salesman falsified my salary on the credit application to get me approved. They told me my payments would be one amount. It wasnt until I showed the paperwork to my mother & Sergant. That the payment was a different amount. I tried to return the vehicle two days later and the dealership would not accept it back. Im currently in contact with Chrysler Capital and explained everything to them also. They are not being very helpful in this matter. And this bank is known for taking advantage of military soldiers.

Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: Santander Bank violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by submitting false information to XXXX and other credit reporting agencies. The XX/XX/XXXX payment was not late but reported late in the XXXX th day. Payments are reported 30 days past due if payment is not made in 30 days. My payment was made in XX/XX/XXXX since XXXX has 28 days and Santander reports at the end of the month and was careless not to falsely report the 30 days late pay. Additionally, Santander violated Federal and Stare executive orders not to charge late fees on car loan in XXXX due to Covid 19. Santander still charged me {$80.00} in late fees in XXXX despite President Trumps and Governor Cuomos executive orders.

Consumer Complaint: Santander XXXX has updated a paid charge off as having balance due of {$1100.00}. I was part of the settlement in their court case that required then to remove the negative account from my reports. However, they continue the same predatory business. The car was sold and the title had been released to me in 2018 by Santander. If I owed them any money, why would they have sent the title. They updated the balance to {$0.00}. When I requested that the account be removed from my credit reports as directed by the lawsuit. They update it again as a charge off with {$1100.00} due. They do not contact me or send any correspondence to show that a balance was due. They only update the credit report out of spite when you request it be updated as required by the settlement. Santander is an extremely predatory lender. Their lack of documentation and communication with their consumers is evident by their continued disregard for the courts requirements.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 my loan paid in full with Santander. I called today about my Overage of the Payoff of {$750.00}. I was informed that it would be refunded on XX/XX/2022. That's over 30 days after the loan pays off before my refund is processed. I understand they have to make sure the funds are valid. However, the funds are wired funds and it's over 30 days from the Payoff. Santander are holding funds and earning interest on my account and thousands that pay off daily. I can understand 15 days or possibly 30 days. Over 30 days is simply fraudulent. Please investigate Santander 's practice of processing refunds after a loan pays off.
