Consumer Complaint: I financed a vehicle through Santander Consumer for. XXXX XXXX XXXX. I feel like I was targeted both as single female and by predatory lending and intentionally misleading and deceptive lending practices. My vehicle was repossessed. Throughout the entire loan timeframe I didnt receive any statements, terms or conditions, And nothing stating terms of my loans outside of initial contract inside the dealer office. There was no correspondence giving me info reguarding late fees and how my payment was allocated including interest and principal balance. I did however receive several marketing letters trying to upsale me and offer me warranties.upon trys to access my online account I was unable to and troubleshooting with the companies tech support was not alleviating the problem either. I was never able to login and access my account on the companies online site not once. Tech support informed me that there was little they could do. I consulted with a different financer today and I was warned about and was cautioned against using Santander. That they have a reputation for deception and intentional misleading business practices.Iam a former XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and a current XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Iam on the XXXX during this pandemic and my schedule is less then ideal, so I depend on emails text messages. I require statements which I never received. Upon calling the company today to my great surprise the address on file was an address I do not reside at and never provided. I attempted to resolve this, and to say they were unwilling to work with me is an understatement. The representative stated that a few correspondences were sent but she failed to provide an address and dates or what the mystery correspondences even pertained to. I was transferred to an unamed department which turned out to be a debt collector. I dont even know if my loan was sold. I was given no other option then to pay the loan in its entirety in order to get the vehicle back, which is absolutely not what I am able to do. I accept the responsibility of defaulting on my loan. But they need to accept responsibility of their negligence. As per of the FCRA isnt fair and accurate credit reporting supposed to be fair? And how can they justify taking the only method of transportation away from someone who puts their life on the line for this community justified without any attempt to solve this. I feel taken advantage of. I feel I have been deceived, but more then anything else I am disappointed that businesses like this if allowed to go unchecked could do this to someone else. To add insult to injury, my son is severely XXXX this vehicle is his XXXX identity, his id for first responders in case of emergency. It is our only way to alert of my non verbal son needing special assistance. And I dont know if Ill ever be able to get that back, it is our life line. I look how to hearing from you. Consumer Complaint: I have paid off my vehicle but I have received a letter stating they are going to repossess my car BUT it shows the amount due is {$0.00}. Furthermore, I called numerous times and the " executive office '' agreed nothing was owed. They called back and I agreed to just settle this to stop the harassment. They stated they would wipe out {$490.00} leaving me with around {$600.00} I was willing to pay to end all of this nonsense. I called back to confirm amount owed and they never took off the {$490.00}, stating I owe over {$1100.00}. Furthermore, even though they claimed to have the ability, they refused to pull the call that the rep ( with more seniority than a manager apparently - XXXX XXXX XXXX ) advised me my principal is {$0.00}, they have the letter showing the amount due is {$0.00} and they will wipe out {$490.00}. This extortion is unacceptable.

Consumer Complaint: Before the pandemic, I paid a day or two ahead of time for a type of benefit that they didn't clearly explain and I accommodated that. It seems as though that when I paid it early, the creditor would process the payment late or have some excuse as to why the payment did not post in time to correct the issue. As a result, I have a late payment for this creditor on my credit report that says I was 30 days late on a payment. It is farthest from the truth.

Consumer Complaint: I have contacted Santander Consumer USA in request to try and work with my situation as I have been laid off and unable to pay my car loan. Matter of fact, this vehicle has BEEN SOLD to a dealership but as they have failed to payoff the loan, I have been making sure the loan is still getting paid. After I have expressed to Santander that I have lost my job and need assistance ; more than just a month or two extension, they have refused to help. I have even submitted multiple investigation requests in investigating the dealership this was sold to and they have done nothing about this and denied my claim every single time. AT THIS POINT, THIS LOAN NEEDS TO BE WRITTEN OFF AND ME TAKEN OFF THE ACCOUNT. THIS CAR DOES NOT BELONG TO ME ANYMORE. I DO NOT POSSESS THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE.

It's also showing that the dates reported were XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. this information is inaccurate and inconsistent across the board and according to 15 U.S Code 1681e ( B ) needs to be removed.

When settled spoke to the settlement company vehicle was Charged off and was told would have title within 30-90 days. hadnt received any other information contacted santander and they are now back peddling wanting me to pay almost XXXX in order to get the title mind you the vehicle has been charged off after over a year now with no attempt for them to pick up or repo the vehicle, now that I contacted them about title, they are saying they didnt include us in the settlement and want to get the vehicle now { we qualified all over the board to be included and were ). mind you we had received the lawsuit emali, talked to the settlement team over the phone. now all of a sudden we arent. SantanderXXXX is doing everything they can to people that were included and now arent ive seen this numerous times now with not just us but others have posted on the internet
