Consumer Complaint: CFPB and LVNV Funding has closed this investigation as a duplicate debt, however the Collection agency continues to avoid submitting documentation that proves this debt is owned by LVNV Funding and has a right to collect or place derogatory information on my credit report. I am requesting AGAIN all documentation from ORIGINAL creditor. In addition, PROOF of ownership such as BILL OF SALE that gives LVNV Funding the right to request any amount of payment from me when the debt they purchased was made in a bulk sale to the creditor. It does not include me and I do not owe LVNV Funding or its subsidiaries any money as a result of this debt. If I do not receive the BILL of SALE or FINAL proof this debt is validated as a debt I owe I will sue both LVNV Funding and its subsidiaries in the amount of {$1000.00} in compensatory damages for every complaint submitted to CFPB, and include {$50000.00} in punitive damages. I will add CFPB as a co-defendant for allowing this collection agency to continue to report information on my credit report in violation of its own policy. The credit has failed to obtain the original documents and has relied on copies of documents that may be altered, insufficient, and do not complete for the purposes of validating and verifying if the debt is known or unknown to the debtor and the creditor for that matter. The creditor does not have enough information to identify if the debt is valid. Finally, I am requesting under section XXXX - Proof of record retention. All documents retained as of last activity ( XX/XX/2023 ). Documentation of collection activities made by the creditor. Copies of documents provided to the consumer as evidence that the debt collector provided the information required by section XXXX and XXXX. Communication of collections and communications that you were in good faith attempting to collect the debt in recent months ( after last investigation ) instead of placing the derogatory information on my credit report without providing proof of debt and collection efforts creating dormant or ghost debt. They are also reporting a balance on a debt that I do not owe. I want proof that I owe LVNV Funding payment.
