Consumer Complaint: I am getting at least one email a day from Resurgent Capital services stating I owe from a previous debt and there has been a countdown stating how long I have until a possible lawsuit. This company also uses shady business tactics by hiding who his sending the emails by using a first name as the sender instead of the company, probably to trick people into thinking somebody they know is trying to email.

Consumer Complaint: I have sent multiple disputes to this collection agency. This is a fraud case. I sent over a request for information as i have never had a credit one card. They sent me a statement for someone with my name in INDIANA. I live in Texas. I tried to explain to them this is fraudulent and asked if they can send over information such a dob or social so i can tell if this is a case of identity theft or if this is someone with the same name? Its on my credit report but not mine so they must have my social. They keep replying with the same credit one statement and not even looking at my dispute. This needs to be removed from my report and labeled as fraud. HELP! They also never sent me anything saying that this debt was purchased and i could dispute it or i would have done so to avoid it ever going to my report. This also could have already been reported to identitytheft.gov but they didnt notify me. I am pretty sure this violated FDCPA as well.

Consumer Complaint: On or around XXXX or XXXX of XXXX, I was served several documents stating that I owe the department store XXXX XXXX at the approximate amount of over {$21000.00}. I stated to my Attorney that I was aware of the credit card but not responsible for the astronomical amount shown on the documents I was served. I obtained my credit report around the years of XXXX and XXXX to date through my credit repairing company and there was nothing on my credit report on the above years stated. Once I received documents, I contacted my Attorney. I suspected fraud and went to the local Police Department and filed a police report on this issue.

Consumer Complaint: The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) is the main federal law that governs debt collection practices. The FDCPA prohibits debt collection companies from using abusive, unfair or deceptive practices to collect debts from you LVNV received disputes in the month of XX/XX/2023 and several reinvestigation demands in which they continued to falsely report. In XX/XX/2023 i demanded certification of accuracies and validated debts with wet signed contracts. Several accounts were deleted then reinserted. Additionally LVNV falsified documents pictures attached to complaint. Note the orders of page and the font is not anywhere else Im the statement because it was not originally in the document. I sent a cease and desist after no validation and fraudulent acts on behalf of LVNV. They communicate with me by furnishing*information to my consumer report which the law states is a source of communication.
