I have observed the presence of a collection entry from your agency, which has caught my attention as I was not previously informed about this collection. Furthermore, I hold serious doubts about the accuracy of the debt being claimed. As per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I have the right to request validation of the debt. Consumer Complaint: After many attempts to change negative remarks on my credit report portfolio recovery refuse to correct inaccurate information. I paid and settled with portfolio recovery on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a letter stating paid in full XXXX balance owed. On XX/XX/XXXX a day after paying settlement, portfolio recovery reported to XXXX negative and damaging Information balances that is not owed. I also express to portfolio that they are not on my XXXX other credit bureaus. I contacted XXXX and found out portfolio recovery was deleted off my account on XX/XX/XXXX the reason stated delete off of account debtor choose not to pursue anymore. I spoke with XXXX XXXX at portfolio recovery on XX/XX/XXXX to tell about my findings and he was rude and trying to talk over me sounding like a programed robot repeating the same thing he is in legal

Consumer Complaint: I mailed my cease and desist letter to the collection agency who is responsible for this debt. I was very clear that they should cease and desist all communications with me in regards to this debt. My XXXX certified tracking number is XXXX in which was delivered and signed for on XX/XX/2023. But even though they received my letter and signed for it. They still have been trying to contact me through my consumer report as well as continuing to send me letters in the mail about this debt. Under section 805 ( c ) of the FDCPA states that if a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that they wish the debt collector to cease further communication with them. The debt collector must not communicate further with that consumer. So why are they still trying to communicate to me through my consumer reports about this debt that I already written to them to cease all collection and communication with me. As well as section 807 ( 4 ) which prohibits a debt collector from continuing to communicate with the consumer, except to notify the consumer that the debt collector further attempts are being terminated.

Consumer Complaint: I am seeking assistance on a dispute that has been reported on my credit report to my knowledge since XX/XX/2020. I have been disputing this since 2020 to no avail. I feel defeated and helpless at this point. I am asking that you take immediate action to correct the errors that you have made on my credit report. I will not accept any further delays in resolving this dispute. If the inaccurate information is not removed from my credit report, I am prepared to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). This is a serious matter and I urge you to take decisive action to rectify the situation. You have already violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by not marking my file as disputed and not providing me with a signature to validate the debt. And you sent a letter showing the correct owner of this debt. I expect you to do what is necessary to ensure that the inaccurate information is removed from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Once again i am writing this complaint after trying to reconcile with your company. I have asked for the account to be permanently removed from my credit report. I have asked numerous time for the debt to be sent back to the original creditor. I have been going the reps on top of reps to getting this issue resolved. I have told PRA i do not want to work with a debt collector that i would rather resolved the issue with the original creditor. I am now asking for compensation of {$1000.00} do to this account having a negative impact on me. I'm asking for a full removal as i have already told PRA i am a victim of identity theft and that i don't know anything about this account

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I demanded that PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATES LLC comply with 15 U.S. Code 1692g. On XX/XX/2023, XXXX responded, stating, " Due to your request that we cease communications, we will not be providing validation unless otherwise required by law. '' It is my right under 15 U.S. Code 1692g to receive all information within 30 days pertaining to this alleged account. On XX/XX/2023, I received a letter that I find to be laughable, claiming the completion of their investigation with a hearsay document that appears to be produced in XXXX XXXX. It is worth noting that PRA sent this hearsay letter was produced 55 days after i demanded full verification on this alleged account, and it took 67 days for the hearsay document to reach me. This information will be provided within the portal. Additionally, I have lodged a complaint with the Tennessee State Collection Board with the warning, and this information will also be shared. Portfolio Recovery Associates , LLC has gone even further with their unlawful practices by reporting on my personal credit reports without following 15 U.S. Code 1692g. I demand that PRA provide proof that they have complied with 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( 7 ) ( A ). They have failed to prove any claims on this alleged debt, and I have never entered into any agreement with this alleged debt. Nor will I do business with any company without my consent. Furthermore, I demand that PRA takes all necessary steps to remove all inaccurate and damaging information from my credit reports, close all collection activity related to this alleged account, and close my file within their offices. Any further delay or noncompliance on their part will be considered an intentional disregard of the law and my rights as a consumer. In the event that PRA fails to comply with these demands within 15 days, I will pursue legal action against them to seek redress for the damages caused to me and to hold them accountable for their repeated and intentional violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the law. I demand that Portfolio Recovery Associates , LLC takes this matter seriously and takes immediate action to rectify the situation. Failure to respond or comply with these demands will be deemed an admission of guilt and will result in more severe consequences. I reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies to enforce my demands and to seek damages as appropriate under 15 U.S. Code 1692k and through the courts. To conclude, I want to emphasize that I will not cease my efforts until the truth comes to light regarding the questionable practices of your company. I will not pay a single penny, especially for something that is not owed.
