Consumer Complaint: The company sent email on XX/XX/XXXX which indicated the authority to do business in the state was " pending. '' I submitted a dispute on XX/XX/2023 requesting authorization to collect debt and license information. The company stated that the credit bureau stated they could collect the debt. In retaliation for disputing the information with the credit bureau, the company replaced their name as the original creditor on the debt and charged the debt account in addition to the original creditor. The company did not communicate any information in writing regarding the right to collect the debt, the right to dispute the debt. The customer service agent stated that my credit score would go up if I agree to " just pay the debt. '' My credit score did not improve. The company is now reporting as the " original creditor '' on my credit report for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and charged off the account again.

Also : 15 USC 1681 Section 602 States I have the right to privacy. 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 USC 1666B A creditor may not treat a payment credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.
