Consumer Complaint: Contacted me today, Monday XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. EST. stating that he was looking for someone else, and that my telephone number is associated with the individual. I informed him that his call is unlawfull, to contact others regarding a specific individual and notifying them that they have a recovery agent calling regarding the debt ( s ) of another. I did record the call, as I live in a state that recorded telephone calls are permitted, and lawful. At the end of the call, the agent called me a " XXXX ''. That is also on the recording. The alledged recovery agent is from PORTFOLIO RECOVERY SYSTEMS, stating that they are located in the state of Kansas. Another agent refused to give e a location at all.

Consumer Complaint: I have constantly dispute with this company. This company has failed to respond to my affidavit that I sent them, and they are boldly violating my federally protected consumer rights. They have been consistently reporting inaccurate account information on my consumer report for both XXXX and XXXX. When I hold them accountable, they refuse to comply. This company is willfully negligent. They consistently blame the consumer reporting agencies and state that XXXX and XXXX are responsible for the inaccurate credit reporting when the debt collector is in fact the new data furnisher who bought the alleged debt and is putting it on my credit profile. This company is more concerned with money so much that they are stepping on my federally protected rights while attempting to collect it. I have filed multiple complaints against this company to no avail. This company is also reporting a closed account as open on my report. I have disputed against this company multiple times with viable proof. I'm requesting the deletion of this account for violation of the FCRA under 15 USC 1681 s-2 Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies- ( a ) Duty of furnishers of information to provide accurate information ( 1 ) Prohibition ( A ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if ( i ) the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate; and ( ii ) the information is, in fact, inaccurate.

I then login in on the XX/XX/XXXXXXXX and decided to except a discount payment plan. I paid it off entirely. It was a payment of {$2500.00} of {$5600.00} of debt owed. My concern is the age of the debt. It's from XXXX or XXXX. Would I still owe debt this old or did I get scammed by Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC? What do you think?

Consumer Complaint: Upon receiving a free copy of my credit report I noticed a few accounts that were inaccurately reporting.. I disputed the information back in XXXX and all XXXX did was put a notice of dispute and the inaccurate account continued to report. The account type says a collection account but the account status says open. This is inaccurate reporting because a collection account can NOT be open.
