Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: Way back in XX/XX/XXXX, I Contacted PNC Bank concerning Unauthorized charges, PNC never conducted a proper investigation. I requested the steps and specifics concerning the investigation they claimed to have completed, PNC Bank refused to provide that information to me. I Filed complaints on XX/XX/XXXX another on XX/XX/XXXX, PNC Bank did not respond with the information requested alternately, danced around the crux of my complaint. It has been over 3 years and PNC Bank still has not provided a proper response. Apparently PNC Bank feels time heals and forgets, as now they come at me with an offer to pay off or settle for 20 % of what PNC Bank alleges I owe. The low offer itself is a testament PNC Bank is aware how weak their claim is. SEE CASES # XXXX, XXXX & XXXX This debt is not my responsibility plus PNC Bank has given up any legal right when they decided to ignore rules and regulations by not acting in a timely matter, not conducting the proper investigation and numerous other procedural shortcuts they decided to take from my previous issues. Additionally, I am requesting a Cease and Desist from PNC Bank or any Collection agency they fraudulently attempt to sell this JUNK debt to in the event PNC Bank does sell this debt to a collection agency which would be another direct violation. This letter is in response to the many correspondence I have been receiving from PNC Bank. ORDER TO CEASE AND DESIST ALL COMMUNICATIONS : According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, [ 15 USC 1692c ] Section 805 ( c ) : Ceasing Communication, you must stop all communication with me after receiving a letter that I no longer wish to communicate with you. Therefore, do not call or contact me in any way at home, at work, on my cell phone or at any other location. Now that you have received this Ceasing Communication letter, in accordance with the federal Fair Debt Collections Act, you may only contact me to inform me that there will be no further collection efforts or to notify me that a specific action will be taken. Please be advised that I am well aware of my rights and know that any further contact by you or your company, except a communication confirming there will be no further contact and except notification of a specific action you intend to take, is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I am also aware that any contact you make to a 3rd party concerning me is also in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, specifically Section 805 ( b ) 2. I am keeping accurate records of all correspondence from you so if you continue to contact me I will hand this over to my attorney XXXX XXXX of XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Issue: Can't contact lender or servicer
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I currently have a PNC checking account that went into the negative yesterday so I decided to try the instant XXXX dollar sites. " XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are the sizes I tried. I make it all the way to where you link your account and it repeately says PNC has prevented your account from being linked to any 3rd party apps. I called PNC and was told the 3rd party apps that I'm using use the same security company which is doing updates but I'd be able to manually enter my account info and it would work. This is not the case. I don't have that option so now my account was hit with an additional XXXX dollars when I could of had this fixed last night if I was able to link my account.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I have a 2nd mortgage with PNC as a line of credit. I wanted to refinance my 1st mortgage while keeping the 2nd as is. That requires a subordination agreement from PNC. On XX/XX/XXXX we requested the subordination agreement from PNC and submitted all required documents On XX/XX/2020, After several attempts to get an update on our request, PNC requested an updated title commitment since the one we submitted expired. On XX/XX/2020, we received another request from PNC to update form XXXX and adjust by {$0.00}. On XX/XX/2020, we received a request to update the payoff statement, Investor approval since the documents we submitted originally have expired. I communicated my concerns with PNC and the case number with them is XXXX. The process is taking so long that I already lost the locked rate for the refinance. In addition, in about two weeks, the my home appraisal I did to get the refinance rate will expire and I will have to pay {$450.00} to redo the appraisal.
