Consumer Complaint: My son was put into furlough from is job back in XX/XX/XXXX because of COVID19. He could no longer contribute to the finances of the household. I then reached out to my mortgage company, PHH Mortgage for assistance by deferring my payments. They agreed by creating a forbearance plan that began XX/XX/XXXX though XX/XX/XXXX. My hardship didn't end in XXXX so I asked PHH Mortgage for an extension and they agreed for three more months ending on XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX, I was fully recovered and ready to continue making payments so I made a payment in XXXX. However, in XXXX, when I spoke to a PHH representative, they informed me that they were not prepared with a modified payment agreement and they extended the forbearance plan until XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX, PHH reached out to me with a letter stating that a modified plan was constructed and that I needed to make three consecutive payments with my first payment on XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. I made my payments and then in XXXX after my last payment, they reported to all three credit bureaus that I was delinquent on my payments when in fact I was on a forbearance plan. When I reached out to PHH Mortgage on several occasions, they claim that they are not aware of this action and claim that there is nothing that they can do about it. I have received several computer generated notices claiming that there is an investigation that takes 30 days to process that never comes to a solution. PHH Mortgage sold my mortgage to XXXX Mortgage right after the last trial modified payment was made but didn't inform XXXX Mortgage that I made my trial payments. I had to send XXXX Mortgage a copy of the signed and notarized paper as proof of the action.

Consumer Complaint: PHH Mortgage ( Based in NJ ) - I refinanced through XXXX XXXX XXXX late 2020, my mortgage was then sold to PHH mortgage. PHH requires signed " ammendments '' to be able to make online payments. I have sent these amendments multiple times ( signed and completed ) - if you do not sign them they require a XXXX XXXX XXXX or a check ( this isn't the 90 's, I don't have a check book or time in my day to figure out XXXX XXXX ). I have sent the amendments 3 times this month and my account is not updated. They are now calling me saying I have late fees. They will not take payment over the phone and they will not update my file. I have spent hours on the phone with them and they will not fix it. This is a common issue with PHH ( read the reviews ). This is going to negatively affect my credit score. I am trying to pay but they simply will not let me.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was in Forbearance due to Covid19 and lack of employment. I was ready to have my mortgage taken out of forbearance and requested such from the XXXX XXXX XXXX the current loan processor of my loan with PHH Mortgage Services. I filled out an application for the mortgage modification and was provided with a Promissory Note and Partial Claim Mortgage. I completed the documentation and returned it. Unfortunately the Notary filled out my name incorrectly and I had to re-submit the documents. During this time my mortgage service was transferred to a new mortgage servicing company and of course they don't have any of the information about my forbearance or mortgage modification taking place with the other loan servicing company. So now they are telling me that I will have to re-apply for a mortgage modification and that they will be reporting all missed or late payments to my credit bureau now that my loan is no longer in forbearance because I do not have a loan modification with them, yet the other mortgage company gave me until XX/XX/XXXX to completer their documentation, which has already been completed as stated above. If that happens it will ruin my credit and show that I have 9 months of late payments. This is and FHA mortgage and I really feel like Im getting treated badly because of this mortgage servicing transfer and nobody from the previous mortgage servicer and the new mortgage servicing company can communicate with each other. I really need help with this. I have done everything I was asked to do and now they are making it very difficult for me to get out of forbearance without ruining my credit because of their poor processing system. I can not make another phone call just to be told their is nothing they can do.
