Consumer Complaint: This debt engaged in abusive, deceptive and unfair practices of the FDCPA which prohibits. They furnished this account that we didnt agree upon and I didnt sign an agreement on. A legal contract is signed by two parties and I did not participate in any of it. More so they didnt follow the proper 5 step validation procedure which make this unfair practices. Consumer Complaint: I applied for PSLF ( public service loan forgiveness ) and my employer certification forms were received and processed by XXXX on XX/XX/23. I also consolidated some of my loans into Direct Loans during this time in order to have them qualify for PLSF and these were eventually transferred from Nelnet to XXXX. I have remaining Direct Loans with Nelnet that still has not transferred to XXXX. I called XXXX on XX/XX/23 and spoke to rep XXXX who had supervisor XXXX put in manual request for transfer. After waiting more than 3 months, I called both XXXX and Nelnet to find out the status of the transfer. XXXX rep said the request was sent, however, Nelnet said they have not received any notice from XXXX nor the Federal government. No one is able to give me an answer as to when my loans will be transferred over.

Consumer Complaint: Issues started in XX/XX/2023 when I applied to the SAVE plan. Well, I still make my monthly payments. I payment my XXXX payment. So my next payment was going to be in XX/XX/2023 for the sum of XXXX dollars. On XX/XX/XXXX, I receive an email that my loan is in forbearance. I log into my account on XX/XX/XXXX. Now the amount that was due in XX/XX/XXXX is showing that it is past due. Mind you I had already made my monthly payment and no payment was due for XXXX. And now they have my XXXX due as XXXX dollars with a a past due for XXXX. Now am wondering, am I getting weekly payment dues? Tried calling no one picks up. I do not care if my payment due is XXXX but how can you decide that what was due in XXXX is now due in XXXX when a monthly payment has already been paid.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) I logged into nelnet to check that my autopay had functioned correctly. I saw that I had no autopay scheduled ( even though I did ) and my payment was marked as late. In a panic I made a manual payment, but no harm done at this point. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I checked my bank account to see XXXX payments made to nelnet. Their autopay system is a joke, and who knows how many countless people they are putting in financial harm with double or more payments. I am currently going on hour 4 of being on hold with no end in sight. A quick XXXX search shows me I am not the only person with this issue.

Consumer Complaint: My account is set up for auto-payments monthly. The website states there are up to two day delays in auto-withdrawal for student loan payments. In my dashboard, there is no information about my XXXX withdrawal. It's as if it does not exist. The money has not been withdrawn from my account, though the website says my loans are in good standing and I have no payments due until XXXX. The accrued interest on the accounts has also not gone away with the alleged XXXX payment. Further, the website is useless and not user friendly. Customer support is needed for any changes to the account or payment plans, yet the customer service line on average has wait times of 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Consumer Complaint: I have called Nelnet numerous times. My student loan was transferred to them due to another loan servicer closing. I had my loans in deferment when it was transferred. Nelnet did not notify me that they started trying to collect on my deferred student loans. I got a letter in the mail saying they were 90 days late and I was flabbergasted. This is predatory. They did not even tell me over the phone what the payment amount was, what they say was past due, or who authorized them to start repayment on a loan that was deferred. This is a problem with their transfer and mismanagement of my loan. Please update the accounts to NEVER late. Please update my payment history to PAANL status ( Paid as Agreed, Never Late ). This needs to be investigated. I thought Biden put protections in place to prevent this! Shame on Nelnet. I disputed with the bureaus and Nelnet did not even respond- they provided no proof. Consumer Complaint: My loans were transferred from Great Lakes to Nelnet. In over 10 years I have never had any issues with Great Lakes. Since my transfer to Nelnet I have not been able to get in contact with any customer service representative. I have made numerous calls, placed on hold for an hour, only for the call to end. Over the last 2.5 months I have not been able to speak to anyone. My loans with Great Lakes was sent to autopay at {$2200.00} per month. My account was supposed to transfer over my repayment selections. Nelnet is only taking out {$150.00}. Their website does not allow me to make any adjustments to my payment amounts. As a result I have accrued a significant amount of capitalized interest that otherwise could have been avoided if I could simply update my repayment amount.

Consumer Complaint: Nelnet is servicing a student loan registered to myself. The website is constantly down, the wait times for calls are over an hour, so I've been unable to access my account, know what I'm being charged for, and the current status of the loan. I've also attempted to sign up for automatic payments or make payments online, which have failed almost every single time. I would like the company to validate the debt as well by providing the original promissory note. This is not a credit dispute as of yet, just want to be sure the debt is valid, related to any debt I actually incurred, and to provide those documents in a timely manner for review.

Consumer Complaint: In 2015, XXXX XXXX XXXX University wouldn't release my transcripts because I owed them roughly $ XXXX {$800.00} for withdrawing from their school before the quarter ended. I left because my program was closing and they either wanted us to either do a dual degree with any of the current or new programs or start over. I chose to start over but not at that school because I couldn't afford it. So I went to a community college to start over but they needed my official transcripts and XXXX wouldn't release my transcripts. After I was finally able to pay off what I owed at XXXX and get my official transcripts, I found out from the Board of Education that all of the credits I earned at XXXX were not even transferrable/accredited. So I racked up thousands of loans just going to XXXX and not even having any credits available for transfer.
