Consumer Complaint: I thought I was consolidating my loans so that I would someday be eligible for forgiveness after 20 plus years of payments. Now they are telling me that I don't qualify. This was my main reason for refinancing with them. The financial consultant for the Nelnet company mislead me into thinking I was all set. I diligently paid with automatic withdrawal looking forward to this being forgiven. Now they are telling me I do not qualify for any forgiveness. I don't even qualify for the CARES Act. I am XXXX years old and have worked as a XXXX and XXXX XXXX for 3 different low-income school districts. I was looking forward to retiring due to health problems and COVID issues. Now I don't know what to do. I have called NELNET for help several times and feel like I have been given the run-around. I am doing my best to survive this and don't understand what I should do. I hope that you can help me. I understand that there are other people who have been having the same issue with NELNET. Care you help me?

Consumer Complaint: This company reported a consolidation loan taken out by me 60 days after I paid my student loans off in full. The report was filed in XX/XX/2020 to all three credit reports and I never agreed to the loan. I paid all my student loans off with a cashier check XX/XX/2020. When I contacted the company to have it removed no actions was taken. These are fraudulent accounts. The company told me to prove to them I paid my student loans off. I don't have to prove anything to this company. They don't have a record of an outstanding balance or a signed agreement. I've sent several complaints to the credit reports agencies certified with proof. As of today these accounts are still showing up on my reports. I want them removed immediately.
