Consumer Complaint: Great Lakes reached out to me directly via telephone Employee : XXXX XXXX XXXX to inform me that she CAN NOT in fact verify the debt I allegedly owe because the School in in question has since closed. That the school closed because of unethical business practices. Great lakes has NO proof that I attended this school, no signatures from me showing proof, and no way to verify this debt. I sent Great Lakes an Affidavit of Facts letter ( attached ) and there was no response to remedy this situation.

Consumer Complaint: Once I finished school I was never sent a letter, phone call or nothing stating that it was time for me to pay these student loans. It has 3 late payments back in 2019. I have called the company, sent emails to the CEO, and sent them a letter stating that I never received anything saying when and how much I was suppose to pay toward these student loans. The admitted that no letter was ever sent via their recorded phone call which could be pulled but they never removed the late payments.

Consumer Complaint: The Department of Education has been knowingly infringing upon my right to privacy by sharing my information with third parties when I NEVER gave them permissible purpose to do so. The accounts in dispute are a result of identity theft. These accounts do not belong to me, but were verified. It is impossible to verify these accounts on my behalf because I am the original creditor and consumer and I'm the only person who could verify any debt. Also, debt means any alleged obligation and we all know pursuant to 18 usc 8 all obligations are securities of the United States. I need to you to cease and desist all collection efforts or else I will be forced to litigate. You are criminally and civilly liable for infringing on my consumer rights pursuant to 15 usc 1611, 15 usc 1640, and 15 usc 1692k.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I received a request for a {$50.00} loan from my servicer Firstmark for a repayment for a new loan which I didnt take out ( roughly $ XXXX total ). It was confirmed to me by the company on XX/XX/2021. That this was a mistake on their end and that they would fix it promptly. Apparently I overpaid for a loan and instead of it showing as a negative balance its being shown as a positive one which I owe. Not only did they not resolve the issue but this incorrect balance is showing up as a late payment and it will negatively impact my credit score next week. They are still sending me letters to repay this loan which they confirmed I dont owe. If I dont fix this within a few days my credit score could be permanently harmed. They are not taking action to resolve it unfortunately. They also stopped responding to my emails and will only respond to calls. I need this issue fixed urgently on their part.

Consumer Complaint: There is no way that these companies investigated this student loan. The same information continues to report on my credit. I honestly don't believe I was late and I don't agree with the total balance that they are reporting on my credit. It continues to report several inaccuracies among the 3 credit reporting agencies from the last student loan company. How is that possibleXXXX For example, Each bureau reports that I was late on a different date Also, Hows it possible that youve reported me 90 days late with no late payments prior to that? Wasn't XXXX sued by Cfpb before for not applying payments to consumers accounts correctly?

Consumer Complaint: During COVID i had taken a break from studies to travel as I was affected by it. I set up auto payments to my XXXX XXXX account to pay for my loans as I would be responsible for them while I was out of the country. Upon returning I was met with delinquent charges on my credit account from a new lender, Firstmark who had bought XXXX XXXX student loans. In all my credit accounts I maintain a strong history of paying on time and I feel these delinquent charges are in error and is not my fault. When Firstmark took control of my account all auto payments went void, and within the first month of nonpayment my account went into delinquency. I received no correspondence while away. When I came back home I was able to get in contact with Firstmark after discovering delinquency on my credit report. I had to update the phone number, email, and mailing address they had on file. When I called a second time they said its been on file the correct way the entire time, which was a lie. I wanted to pay a large sum of money down and go into forbearance as I pay the remaining loan off but the terms of forbearance void any credit retraction plea on their end.

Consumer Complaint: My student loan servicer Nelnet is incorrectly reporting information. Both on their website and to credit reporting agencies. My loans were discharged as I am XXXX XXXX XXXX veteran. As such the loans should be paid in full, closed. That's how they should appear and be reported. However, when I check the credit reporting agencies and when I get my mortgage verification document from Nelnet, they show as closed but still owning $ XXXX in loans. This is inaccurate, this is wrong, and I am being harmed from obtaining a mortgage. Please correct this.

Consumer Complaint: I noticed that the Credit Bureaus are not reporting the same information on my credit report among each other, which means its incorrect. XXXX and XXXX are reporting my Nelnet student loan as late when it should be as what XXXX is reporting which is current. This has caused me a lot of stress trying to fix this situation. They must hold the agencies that they collect information from to the law, and furnish only the correct information under the FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 2 ) ( B ).

Consumer Complaint: I was looking through my report and noticed a vehicle that I returned to the dealership where it's reporting completely incorrect. I had the opportunity to talk to several lawmakers and friends, and learned some basic laws in regards to voluntary or repossession of a vehicle. Under the laws of MASS and UCC 9.506 as well as State RISA and MVISA statutes, a deficiency can not be claimed unless all of the required notices were properly and timely given, and all of the allowable redemption and cure time limits were adhered to. PLEASE HAVE THEM IMMEDIATELY REMOVE
