Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for a repayment plan for my Direct Loans serviced by Nelnet. On the application, which must be done through the Federal Student Aid website, I was given the option to opt for the lowest payment plan regardless of applying for an IDR ( income driven repayment plan ). I live by myself, pay all of my bills on my own, and have another XXXX in student loans with another loan servicer. In addition, I pay XXXX USD to the IRS. I asked Nelnet to look at another repayment plan or lower my monthly payment which begins next XXXX, but they have failed to respond back to me.

However, in an email I recently received from Nelnet with an account summary there is a different ( higher ) amount showing under the original loan amounts that shows : $ XXXX $ XXXX {$65.00}, XXXX There is a discrepency in the original amount on the promissory note and Nelnet 's original amount. When I called Nelnet, the customer service agent said it was due to interest, but interest should not affect the original amount. I am attaching the original promissory note and Nelnet 's account summary.

Consumer Complaint: The credit reporting agencies have refused to comply with laws set forth by the FCRA. The agencies are not doing a complete investigation into the obvious problems in question disputed by me the consumer. They willfully continue to furnish incorrect student loan information reported by Nelnet on my credit report. Such false information being furnished has caused me to lose out on countless opportunities to advance myself and my children to the next level. The agencies are furnishing transactions and experiences that the credit agencies never got my written approval to furnish. Nelnet has been reporting my account incorrectly as open and it has been closed and transferred to a new servicer. They are also reporting experiences and transactions in the form of inaccurate late payments. Please delete this entire account from my credit file. I have never authorized credit agencies to furnish any of my personal transactions with Nelnet. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instruction.15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. states I have the right to privacy. If the situation is not remedied I will be filing a lawsuit.

Consumer Complaint: I filed an Income-Driven Repayment Plans on studentaid.gov for Nelnet and linked my IRS tax information per requested. I also printed a PDF files application along with IRS transcript tax information on Nelnet 's webpage. Nelnet emailed asking for proof of incomes and I have provided W2 and IRS transcript on their website and emailed. Nelnet send a physical letter saying they need the most income information such as paystub and W2 or transcript is not a proof of income. Now my account is on hold and I'm force to make the payment that is not under Income-Driven Repayment Plans. Nelnet is very misleading in their languages and requirements for additional proof of incomes. Other lenders such as XXXX and XXXX accept tax transcripts, W2 as proof of income. According to the studentaid.gov website, these documents from Internal Revenue Services itself and W2 is a proof of incomes. Nelnet is misleading their lenders and making the process for Income-Driven Repayment Plan confusing and complicated in what consider proof of incomes. This should be a standard practice like any other lenders as well as federal governments.

Consumer Complaint: I am being taken advantage of by XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These three companies are violating my rights given to me by the FCRA ( Fair Credit Reporting App ). I DID NOT give them permission to access my NON PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION nor did I CONSENT for them to furnish anything on my consumers report/credit. According to 15 USC 1681 ( b ) ( 2 ) my permission is needed for ANY PERSON to access or furnish anything on my consumer report! Yet once again that permission was not granted by me. Not only are inquires being reported without due cause, but my rights to privacy has been infringed upon due to these fraudulent and inaccurate reporting. I have a right to privacy according to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ). I demand that each and every item I disputing to be removed. There is no way any person can validate fraudulent activity! I have paid every single month on time but have yet to receive a respond to have this garnished off my 3 reports. Due to my identity being used without my consent this is basically theft as defined by 18 USC 1028 ( a )! Please remove all request as soon as possible. Thank you!
