Consumer Complaint: We hired XXXX XXXX XXXX to move our belongings from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and charged us {$12000.00} for the move. I paid the amount by my XXXX card issued by Navy Federal Credit Union. The Van Line is supposed to move the belongings safely. However, when we received our belongings 80 % of the furniture that was packed, loaded, moved, and unloded by XXXX were damaged. Hence, I disputed the amount charged to my Credit card around XX/XX/2022. I provided all necessary documentation including the pictures of damaged goods. After a month, Navy Federal closed the dispute without doing proper investigation with the following comment : " No billing error occurred. The merchant did not violate the terms of their return/ cancellation policy with the transaction in question ''. The bank forgot that it is not a good that I bought. It is a service. How can I return a service? The merchant violated their service obligation of safe movement of belongings ''. The bank is guilty of a wrong decision.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: NFCU denied my application for a business credit card after 2 months in review for 2 reasons : credit score below cut off and delinquent credit history. Id be fine with these reasons if they had even the smallest connection to reality, but these are totally false! My credit report is flawless and mentions no delinquent payments, just like my credit score which is close to XXXX points. I reached out multiple times to the credit union in-branch , over the phone and through in-app messaging asking for an explanation. NFCU provided no explanation whatsoever about what the true denial reasons are, provided no copy of the credit report which they used as a basis for their decision and made zero efforts to resolve my concern. NFCUs incompetence in this matter is frightening because it instills deep distrust in their financial organization.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft yet the company has decided against me to keep my account open. I have been trying to fight this case for the past 2 months and I have now had enough of trying to fix this with them. I will be attaching a letter in detail describing my situation and the laws they violated as well. I have legal representation prepared incase the outcome is not satisfactory to my desired outcome of this situation. They are violating my rights as a consumer and denying me an account that I did not commit fraud under which is a major violation under these laws : 1. 15 U.S Code 5 1642 2. 15 U.S Code 6 1681M 3. 12 CFR 1002 I have previously submitted a complaint via CFPB, XXXX and the Attorney General of California yet I was still denied. This will be my final attempt before I seek monetary compensation and pursue in litigation for defamation of character and mental anguish/trauma under 15 USC Section 1692d.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: Navy Federal Credit Union closed my cash rewards account approximately two years ago although I was making payments on time each month. They always deducted loan payments directly from my account, so it could have never been late at the time of closing. They said they closed it based on information regarding other accounts from a new credit report they obtained. They closed my account which impacted my credit score because although I make payments I can not use the card. They are also still charging me interest on the card although they chose to close the card ( not due to my credit card payment history ). I believe they either needed to not close my card or stop charging me interest on an account they chose to close.

Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX. I got a notification from my navy federal credit union credit card for 3 purchases 1. XXXX XXXX for {$200.00} 2. XXXX for {$39.00} 3. XXXX for {$4400.00} I was out of town for most of the day on business. I contacted the bank on XX/XX/XXXX to make them aware of the fraudulent/unauthorized purchases on my card. They finished their investigation and told me that they did not see any fraudulent activity. I put in a request for a second dispute review on XX/XX/XXXX because I knew something was wrong because I dont make big purchases. And when they did a second review they denied it again.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: This complaint is for Navy Federal Credit Union ( NFCU ) ; I am also including the consumer reporting agencies in the complaint so that they may mail my complete file pursuant to 15 USC 1681a ( g ). There are two accounts Navy Federal Credit Union continues to report knowing that information is inaccurate and not reportable by Law. NFCU is infringing on my right to credit. NFCU is violating the Truth in Lending Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and The Fair Credit Reporting Act. I have sent a cease and desist to NFCU and they continue to communicate with me in regards to the alleged debt via mail, email, and my consumer report. NFCU has not validated the debt pursuant to 15 USC 1692g ( a ) and continue to report the alleged debt after I have advised them that there are billing errors. Pursuant to 15 USC 1692g ( 4 ) validation of debts, if you have evidence to validate your claim that the alleged debt does not constitute fraudulent misrepresentation and that one owes this alleged debt, this is a demand that, within 10 days, you provide such verification/validation and supporting evidence signed and certified under penalty of perjury to substantiate your claim. Until the requirements of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act have been complied with and your claim is verified/validated, you have no consent to continue reporting late payments on my account. I have already sent a cease and desist, again this is a constructive notice that, absent the validation of your claim within 10 days, you must " cease and desist '' any and all collection activity of the alleged debt. Be aware that unauthorized use ( 15 USC 1692p ) is identity theft. And I have all of the documentary evidence to support my claims if a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX is needed to be filed.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a claim with Navy Federal Credit Union XXXX on XX/XX/2021 per their instruction in the " Guide to Benefits for XXXX XXXX '' for Cellular Wireless Telephone Protection Coverage. My phone was broken beyond repair so I filed the appropriate documents for my insurance claim that should cover up to {$600.00} with a {$100.00} deductible. They are stating that my phone is not covered because I have too many lines on my account. The other lines are part of my family plan. I am making the claim for the only Eligible Cellular Wireless Telephone and I am the only Eligible Person for this benefit per their guidance. I was denied my claim on XX/XX/XXXX. I followed up with supporting documents and they are still denying my claim satying I have too many lines. It is my credit card and the claim I am making is for my phone. I will attach their guide to this complaint. Please notice both their definitions of the Key Terms concerning : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
