Consumer Complaint: DENIAL OF GUARANTEED VA LOAN TO COMBAT XXXX VETERAN : I wish to report that I was denied my request for a guaranteed home loan on XXXX XX/XX/2022 by navy federal cu. I was approved and then disapproved ( as stated by the underwriters ) that I was not qualified. Reasons provided were income debt to ratio and failure to meet occupancy. I am not certain how a barrower can " Fail '' the occupancy test without actually moving into the property. Secondly, the bank loan officer continued to ask personal questions regarding my purchase. I requested validity to the questions ( in writing ), but neither the loan officer or the underwriters responded to my request. The loan officer repeatedly called me and would NOT respond to my questions in writing. This event ( denial ) occurred exactly one week before closing on the home. I am sure that this matter is a violation under the Fair Housing Act. I will be submitting this memorandum to my Congressman and Senator. Additionally, I am seeking Counsel and will be filing like complaints with the VA and HUD. I eagerly look forward to hearing from your office. Consumer Complaint: Again the Credit Idiots are screwing me once again. My BRAIN told me to refinance my mortgage. I didnt know I was going to get XXXX in the Process and be stalked to get it accomplished. My brain then planned to get my retirement vehicle. Nope that would be to easy. I had XXXX in debt in XXXX and had a XXXX score that you show to the me the consumer but you the Lender get a different score. What's Fair About that? So anyway that doesn't work so I just decide to get my automobile. Boy that was so much fun because of the irrelevant data the bureaus use to calculate their scores that then then go and sell to the Creditors who then in turn to determine who you slept with to get a loan. In my case I had gotten a loan a year ago with a XXXX per interest rate and a XXXX per month payment. I was approved for XXXX. I traded a car and only used XXXX so I just started paying XXXX per month even. After much aggravation with the mortgage loan I decided to just go for my retirement car anyway. I asked the credit union for XXXX and they approved me XXXX. I was looking at a car that cost XXXX. With the new approved car loan now I have a XXXX and a XXXX car payment. That totals {$1200.00}. To me, if I can qualify for 2 car payments why cant I just have one car note of {$1200.00}. The way they did the loan it cost me {$13000.00} more cash than I would have had to spend. I got 4 different rates with final being XXXX I wish I could have compared all three credit unions before I had to choose. What's Fair About that? Now to the Mortgages, The same credit union that aproved my auto loan turrned me down due to misinformation at the credit bureaus.

There was also a police report filed. I have filed disputes and these accounts keep appearing.

Consumer Complaint: I started XX/XX/2022 to open an account with Navy Federal Credit Union. While opening the account my internet hiccupped and reset the online account process. In doing this the system created 2 different accounts at once under my name using my social security number and one that was 1 number different. Since this happened both accounts were marked as fraud. I was told when I found this out that to verify and properly set up my account I needed to submit a copy of my license and proof of residence. It has now been a month and a week later being XX/XX/2022 and I was just informed that the previous for weeks of calling and going into branch offices to get my documents verified were for nothing as I was apparently also supposed to turn in a Security Appeal for that was notated on the account from the start but that not one single member till today noticed and notified me about. In this like I shall continue forward to try and solve my problem but this has me severely worried about the safety of my funds being handle should I have a real problem by such incompetency.

On XX/XX/2022 the wire has still not processed and I attempted to call the bank, at which time I am told it can take anywhere from 24-48 hours to process such wire, even though it is time sensitive. This is unacceptable as I should not have to wait this long to access my funds, and I feel it is a way of unfortunately holding my money hostage and in violation of the regulating act.

Consumer Complaint: I applied to refinance my grandmothers mortgage at the end of XX/XX/XXXX because she has a reverse mortgage that is eating away at her homes equity. I applied online with Navy Federal as her POA. When the loan officer, XXXX, was assigned, I called her directly and left her a detailed message about who I was and why I was applying. She called my phone on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX pm asking for my grandmother to call her back. I called her back immediately & she didnt answer. Again, she didnt call me back. Even though she never responded to me, I could still see the progress of the loan that she pushed forward. Every time I got an email asking for something, I immediately uploaded it or responded to it. It just got sent to underwriting a few days ago & today I received a denial package stating that they couldnt verify her identity, credit info, and that her application is incomplete. I am completely confused because no one has called me at all asking for info or trying to verify anything. XXXX only called once & she never responded back to my requests to call/email me back. I placed a credit freeze on my grandmothers credit reports to keep others from being able to open anything in her name. It was lifted when I first applied and for a week afterwards. They were able to pull her credit at least once!!! So, when I got the denial info today, I emailed XXXX and attached the POA that Navy Federal already has on file, my grandmothers ID, and my ID. I also lifted the freeze again for them for a week. They are denying her due to age. Her credit is perfect because I handle her bills, and their mortgage staff does not seem to recognize the powers I hold from being her POA. I gave them everything they needed & they have not communicated with me outside of sending things that needed signature through the portal. No phone calls or direct emails. I asked XXXX how to appeal this denial and, again, no response. I gave her all day to reply before filing this complaint. My grandmother has XXXX and can not handle her own affairs, so they will need to speak to me. I am not accepting the reasons listed for the denial because they were able to verify her ID ( identity already verified before by Navy Federal ), her credit info ( they pulled her credit already & I even had to pay a fee for them to do so ), and incomplete application ( nothing at all was showing in the tasks because I complete them as soon as I get the email alert ). They are making up reasons to deny her when the only issue is her age. I dont even live in VA XXXX so I dont know why me handling this for my grandmother is causing an issue. I handle everything for her. They are simply discriminating & choosing not to honor the POA.
