I bank with them for years and paid off loans there Yet Im still confused how this happened.

Consumer Complaint: Between XXXX I originated two accounts with Navy Federal Credit Union . A personal loan and a credit card which was opened separately. Overtime, either one or both of the accounts had changes to the account number, changes to the terms and conditions or some loan modification. As a result, the account history and the amount of payments and interest Ive paid substantial payments without paying in totality has become available. As well as access to previous statements before the account numbers changed. I have noticed that the principal balance has barely changed and it appears most of all the payments made has gone to interest. For the past 7-8 years, I havent had any significant reduction in my principal balance. As a result of financial hardship and reduced income I needed assistance with making payments. The first delinquency was reported in XXXX for both the credit card and loan. After 7 years, statue of limitation require negative reporting should be deleted and removed. Also, they have the credit card tradeline for {$19000.00} appearing twice under different account numbers, which is having a double negative impact on my credit. In absence of account history and old statements I have contested the validity of the debt and derogatory information. The credit reporting agencies and Navy Federal has failed to rectify the situation and delete derogatory information. Under section 1681s-2B of FCRA 15 USC 1681 et seq and The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq, the companies are in violation and having complied to my requests. Also, in recent news reports and class action lawsuit, Navy Federal has allegedly discriminated against minority borrowers and neglected to provide fair lending practices and services. I believe I am too a victim of unfair treatment and would like all derogatory credit reporting to be removed and deleted. I have been a member since XXXX, and Ive paid off several loans with Navy Federal. I am deeply disappointed at the way theyve treated me as a consumer. Learning that theyve treated other minority consumers unfairly is terrible. Their actions has negatively impacted my financial health and credit score by continuing to report old and unverified information.

Consumer Complaint: After further review of my credit report I notice, Navy Federal is reporting a late fee on my report from XXXX during the pandemic. I have exception payment history with Navy federal credit union so to see a late payment being reported is heart breaking. I am asking in good faith for this late payment to be reversed due to the payment being sent in a timely manner. I have contacted Navy Federal customer service, and they advised it was nothing can be done, although XXXX was a difficult time for the entire world. I will hate to think a company like Navy Federal doesn't care what their clients were going through during a pandemic. I have had this account since XXXX and as of today XX/XX/XXXX, There is only 1 late payment being reported which is negatively impacting my credit report. 15 U.S. Code 1666b - Timing of payments ( a ) Time to Make Payments A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose, unless the creditor has adopted reasonable procedures designed to ensure that each periodic statement including the information required by section 1637 ( b ) of this title is mailed or delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days before the payment due date. In order for any creditor to treat a payment as late you must prove that : 1 ) The information required under 15 USC 1637 ( b ) of this title was mailed out or delivered 21 Days before the payment due date please provide the proof that this information was mailed out or delivered 21 days before the statement date. 2 ) 15 USC 1637 ( b ) is very specific on all required information needed or that must be mailed or delivered to the consumer!

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow up to complaint # XXXX against navy federal credit union . I sent Navy Federal another email on XX/XX/23 at XXXX as follows : I have attempted today to pay the remainder {$120.00} balance on card ending on account XXXX. I paid {$500.00} on this account on XX/XX/23 from the XXXX account ending in XXXX that is not reflecting on the account! Why in the world can I not pay the remainder balance! Why is this account greyed out?? My mother has nothing to do with what is going on. How can we pay bills if you all are purposely jeopardizing the account because you think I am a scammer?! My mother called navy fed and had the remainder balance extended out until the XXXX why can I not use the same account that was used to pay the {$500.00}??? Update XX/XX/23 My mother just called them again at XXXX and the representative has made a note in the system stating that it is in system that {$500.00} came out of the account ending in XXXX! My mother keeps stating that she has authorized me to use the card. I am DONE with Navy Federal and XXXX is my witness that I will not stop until I prosecute this credit union to the full extent of the law the same way they unjustly have tried to do me!
