Subissue: Problem with customer service
Consumer Complaint: Hello my name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. Formerly, XXXX XXXX. I have a private loan with Navient set to auto deduct from my XXXX account. I have attempted for over 20 days now to log into my account, to no avail. I just spent over XXXX hours on the phone with Navient on hold, having to repeat my new email address XXXX XXXX times to customer service agent XXXX, and then to speak with his supervisor XXXX with whom I had to repeat my email address to XXXX. They say that they have an address for me that I can not verify? They also report that they don't have an email address on file for me either. I can not log in to change my banking information and they are trying to autodeduct my payment causing unnecessary overdrafts but will not allow me to login to my account and change my banking information. I type in my social security number, and my dob and they can not verify it. They need to STOP auto debiting my account immediately.

Subissue: Don't agree with the fees charged
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2021, I called Navient and was transferred 4 times due to getting the same department that couldn't answer my question, finally spoke to a XXXX ID : XXXX supervisor from Navient the servicer of my loan. I inquired about why my loan was still charged late fees, and interest, when in XXXX, I had told them that I was having financial issues due to COVID, and they also report my loan delinquent to credit bureau. My loans are XXXX loan FFELP. I asked about why I was being charged late fees, interest and payments, when Congress approved the temporary suppression of charges. First she told me that theses where private loans and I read the qualifications that those loans would have been eligible also. Then she said " well you weren't in default '' The kept giving me forbearance 's to make my account current and out of default so the can charge me interest and late fees. I only new my loan as a non private loan from XXXX, so now all of a sudden they tell me its a private loan. I believe Navient mis-lead me in this whole student loan payment and option process. I asked about settlement as some years ago they offered to reduce some of the interest that was on loan. Then XXXX stated they don't do that, I asked her to go back to my history on their file and she refused. I asked would it not be reasonable to validate what I said by looking at their history, she stated no. This to can be verified as the calls are monitored and record.

Consumer Complaint: The COVID-19 forbearance will end on XX/XX/2022. However, Navient is stating that I am currently past due on my student loans and that I need to make a payment in the amount of {$2600.00} immediately. I have already sent them my Income-Driven Repayment Plan to them, and they are still harassing me for a payment. Why are the telling me to make a payment when my student loan is under the COVID-19 forbearance moratorium?

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I received an email from Navient regarding a letter in my inbox with Navient. I reviewed the letter, and it was addressed to both me ( on the top line of the address ) and my son ( 2nd line of the address ). The letter addresses only me and by my name only, and informs me of options for making loan payments. It does not include my son 's name. Towards the bottom of the letter it details options for loan forgiveness and discharge. It also details if you are totally disabled to please call them. I wondered why they needed to know I was XXXX, so I called them. I called customer service XX/XX/2021 at XXXX XXXX CST and read the letter addressed to me and she told me this is a generic letter, and that I should " ignore '' this section. She informed me that this only applies to the borrower. I told her that the letter did not mention my son in the body of the letter, but simply only my name. I then told her that I felt like this was misleading. We have 5 loans, but will indicate only 1 loan with this complaint.

Subissue: Old information reappears or never goes away
Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to dispute old student loans reported by Navient several times in the past for for violations but they are still reporting on my credit report. I have attached a copy of how they are being reported. The numbers I reference below correlate to the attached copy of my credit report. Items 1,2 and 5 are being reported on my credit report with no Date of First Delinquency. This is against FCRA rules. There is no way to determine statute of limitations and as such these files need to be deleted from my credit report. Items 3 and 4 show a date of last payment of XX/XX/11. This is clearly beyond the 7 year statute of limitations for an account of this type. It is also incorrectly being reported as past due when they should have been changed to charge off status years ago. These accounts need to be deleted immediately. The inaccurate listings of these accounts on my credit are causing me financial harm as they are preventing me from being able to purchase a home for my family. I have disputed these items well over a year ago and was truly dismayed to find nothing had been done. Please assist me in looking into this matter and helping to get these accounts deleted as soon as possible.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX, the company Navient attempted to contact me, XXXX XXXX, looking to reach another person, XXXX XXXX. I am related to XXXX XXXX, but I am distressed that they would call me looking to reach her. I have not been listed as an emergency contact or anything like that. Since they are a XXXX loan company this feels predatory. Researching and finding other relatives ' phone numbers to attempt to try and reach that person is a violation of personal privacy. On top of that, this is harassment of XXXX XXXX. I'm not sure of her involvement with the company, but for them to attack her in this way is a violation of her privacy and mine.
