Consumer Complaint: This is my second complaint on National Credit Systems. I filed my first complaint on XX/XX/XXXX. Their, response on XX/XX/XXXX was Account XXXX. I was confused as to what Account XXXX would meant. So, I called CFPB and was instructed to refile my complaint because, the agent had never seen this type of a response an could not give me any information as to what it meant. As, stated before NCS or XXXX has never contacted me about this account. I only saw it XXXX when it was placed on my credit files. On, my files it states placed for collection XX/XX/XXXX. No one has ever given me a chance to verify this account at all. My credit is important to me so inaccurate information is damaging and cause negative effects. I am requesting a investigation into this matter again. As, I would like to know what attempts and how they contacted me.

Consumer Complaint: Collection Company ( National Credit Systems ) reached out to me regarding an old apartment complex debt that they say I owe allegedly. When I requested a copy of the original lease agreement, I was sent a fraudulent document and signatures. The lease agreement that was presented to me has a signature date of XX/XX/XXXX but according to the Financial account statement that was presented along with the fraudulent lease shows that I moved in on XX/XX/XXXX and that I moved out XX/XX/XXXX with a lease expiring on XX/XX/XXXX. This company has clearly violated my rights as a consumer by not being able to validate the alleged debt and by secondly falsifying information.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I discovered that National Credit Systems Inc was reporting a reporting a debt of XXXX to all 3 credit reporting agencies. I discovered this after applying for a mortgages. The debt was for an apartment that I moved out of in XX/XX/XXXX after giving a 30 day notice. In XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the collection agency and apartment complex requesting a breakdown of charges and validation. I gave my 30 day notice and used my complex as reference to obtain my new apartment. I was not under a lease at that time and my rent was only XXXX at the time I moved out. On approximately XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to the collection agency for a breakdown & explanation of charges. I got no response. So I started contacting the credit bureaus regarding this debt. I disputed the account online with XXXX & it was removed after the collection agency couldn't provide proof of the debt. I was unable to find options for reporting the debt online for XXXX & XXXX so chose to wait until I was able to pull & print my annual report & write them then. I contacted XXXX & XXXX by certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX reported that they were unable to remove the debt it came back as validated. I have yet to see any information. As of XX/XX/XXXX I still have not heard from XXXX.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: About a month ago some of my family members started receiving threatening phone calls from National Credit Systems. The calls have been recorded and saved. It was not until the 4th voicemail that the caller identified himself as a debt collector. The saved voicemails can easily prove this both with the text of the voice message along with the time and date stamp. National Credit Systems has already broken federal law by not identifying themselves as a debt collector. National Credit Systems is attempting to collect a debt for an apartment complex that I never lived in, nor have I ever been associated with. I am a victim of identity theft. A few years ago my office was broken into and several documents were stolen, including my social security card, driver 's license, passport, and bank cards. Several accounts were opened in my name and a fraud alert was placed on my credit file. No apartment lease should have been executed given the fraud alert on my credit file. I filed a police report with the XXXX Police Department after my office was broken into and have attached a certified copy of this police report to this complaint.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: An agency states I owe {$1600.00} for an apartment lease I paid off without incident. No communication was given to me by the apartment complex at any point. XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to National Credit System requesting proof of the amounts owed and also followed up with a phone call to confirm the agency received and understood what I needed to pay the debt. 30 days went by and I was never given any proof of the said amounts owed. I have been lied to and believe this is a fraudulent attempt to collect revenue. I sent a correspondence and followed up with a phone call XX/XX/XXXX and was basically told they would not provide me with any proof of said amount due. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted by XXXX XXXX with National Credit Systems in XX/XX/XXXXto collect debt from a previous landlord ( XXXX XXXX ). I explained that this debt was not owed and I was not informed of this prior to her phone call which was 3 months after I moved out. I explained that I wanted to dispute it. A letter was sent to my Mother in Law 's home in XX/XX/XXXXstating my dispute was denied for insufficient documentation. When I called to speak with XXXX she was aggressive, uninformative, and hung up on me when I asked questions. I asked simple questions such as who would I be paying? And was told her client is disclosed. I am not able to obtain the owner 's information. I asked her how the process works and she got defensive and asked if I am going to pay or not? And would not give me any information about her company and their process. XXXX was the rudest person I have ever encountered. She had no intentions on assisting me with resolving this issue. The only thing I gathered is that I can not dispute the charges with ANYONE because she will not give me the owner 's information and she is not willing to discuss my dispute. I read reviews calling this company a scam and I fully believe it. My credit score is severely damaged and I am unable to resolve this debt.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter in the mail from this company saying I owed money and called them to confirm. My first call i spoke with a representative who told me this debt was for a house I rented and she spouted off an address where I have never lived. I then asked her for a copy of the leasing agreement so I could verify this debt. The representative became combative and asked me why did I need verification of the debt. I told her its my legal right for the debt to be paid and I wanted documentation. I have just now received documentation but out of a 20 page leasing agreement I only received 5 pages. NONE of which can verify that it was ME who this debt belongs too. There's no copy of my ID - no date of birth information or even my social on any of the incomplete paperwork that was sent. I would either like proper verification of this debt or I would like it removed from my credit report for failure to verify.
