Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I opened my mother`s estate, as she passed away on XX/XX/XXXX. I went to M & T Bank to obtain her checking/savings account information, spoke with a relationship banker & manager at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, DE. When she and the manager pulled my mother`s account they both advised me that there were XXXX checks that were fraudulently signed ( mother`s name forged ) totaling {$160000.00}. Therse checks were signed when my mother was on XXXX with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Both the manager and relationship banker advised me to go to the police and to XXXX XXXX ( the bank where the money was deposited ). On XX/XX/XXXX I returned to M & T Bank, per my attorney request to file a fraud claim. Speaking with the same representatives, they advised a claim should be filed, and they did, indicating it would take a week for a response. Less than 24 hours the same representative called to state " That they were unable to process the claim as the account was closed, the account closed due to the fraudulent activity that made her account balance XXXX. These checks should have been flagged/rejected, since the signature is not my mothers and does not match her signature on M & T Bank`s file , and my mother was the sole owner of the account. In addition, to it not being her signature, she never wrote checks that large of an amount and these checks were deposited using a mobile app. These actions should have alerted M & T Bank to flag these transactions. I have been to M & T Bank several times and have not been helped at all, I feel my issue is just ignored and they do not want to help. But I will not give up on trying to resolve this fraud activity.

Consumer Complaint: M & T Bank refuses to investigate more than fifteen unauthorized withdrawals from my account. As a result, M & T Bank was unable to supply an explanation of its findings. After three requests, M & T Bank disregarded my request for the documents they relied on to decide. Also, M & T Bank must still meet its burden of proof that no error occurred. M & T Banks investigation was perfunctory and deficient. On Monday, XX/XX/2023, I discovered unauthorized ATM transactions posted in my checking account. As a result, more than {$6200.00} of my Federal Student Aid was missing. That evening I called the bank to report the error. XXXX, an M & T Bank associate, recorded the details. He told me an investigative team member would contact me within three days. Meanwhile, M & T Bank would issue provisional credit. Receiving no response by Friday, I called M & T Bank for an update. XXXX, an M & T Specialist/Supervisor, said M & T Bank denied the claim. The reason for the denial was not apparent because the file had no notes. However, after reviewing the file, he quickly uncovered the error. When entering the original complaint, XXXX correctly described my debit card as lost/stolen. However, mistakenly, he indicated that the debit card was still in my possession. M & T Bank used this incorrect information to deny my claim without investigating. XXXX sent an email to the decision maker explaining the error and requesting reconsideration of the claim to no avail. Eight days have passed, XX/XX/2023, and I am elated to find an M & T Bank envelope in the mailbox addressed to me. Enclosed is a memo. The memos date is XX/XX/2023, the exact date I called and learned the claim was denied. We are denying your claim, the memo reads. I re-read it three times, searching for what I missed. There is no explanation for the investigators decision. Desperate for relief, I made over twenty calls, exceeded five hundred minutes talking, and spoke with every specialist in the M & T Fraud department. Finally, I filled out an Additional Information Form. Once completed, I met with M & T Bank Assistant Vice President XXXX XXXX at his branch. XXXX faxed the form to the fraud department and phoned to confirm receipt. Encouraged that a resolution is near, I reached out to M & T Bank on Monday, XX/XX/2023. XXXX XXXX records my request for the documents upon which M & T Bank relied in making their determination ( 12 CFR 1005.11 ( d ) ). A week later, no documents. I called M & T Bank and learned the case was reopened. The date was Tuesday, XX/XX/2023. The next day I called, and XXXX XXXX, an M & T Specialist, crippled me with the truth. There was no investigation, XXXX told me. You have yet to receive documentary evidence because there is none. The only two documents in your file are the memo dated XX/XX/2023, and the Additional Information form you completed. XXXX explained that the recent increase in fraud claims has made it impossible to investigate them all. In response, transactions performed with a personal identification number entered, debit card present, and the security chip read are considered authorized by the debit card owner. Customers typically call to withdraw the claim. For this reason, we do not investigate these cases. These are the facts we saw with your claim. For M & T Bank to continue with an investigation, you will need a police report. She insisted it was company policy. I asked XXXX to flag, for review, the audio recording of our conversation. This unlawful situation has caused me to miss this college semester. It has cost me countless hours of phone time. It is distressful to remember how hopeful I was when I thought the resolution was near. I am a victim of debit card fraud and seeking full restitution. Also, I am a victim of the fraud M & T Bank described as an investigation that never existed. For this, I am seeking full reimbursement.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, the issue is M & T Bank and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is charging us {$1.00}, XXXX for escrow for taxes and insurance. We don't have to pay property taxes on this property and we have paid out of pocket for home owners insurance. They are making us pay for there insurance. Stating that hazard insurance was a requirement for approval of the loan. M & T Bank, bought our loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, We tried to fix this mater with them but we found out the the loan was sold to M & T Bank, We called M & T Bank last month to fix the problem before the first payment was due, we found out that the problem was not fixed when we had non-sufficient Funds notice from M & T Bank. I called M & T Bank again to explain the issue with the escrow part of the loan which they said that we had to pay for THERE insurance even when I told them that we have insurance. M & T Bank will not remove the additional XXXX, XXXX payment from our mortgage loan. I then called the VA and asked if this is a requirement and she said no. We can't continue to pay the additional amount? ( Note we do have to pay for garbage ) Can you help

These mortgage entities have claimed that the property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Texas XXXX, was used as collateral on the property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Texas XXXX. This is incorrect and not true. The property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas XXXX, was purchased in XXXX and the loan servicer was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX purchased the loan from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX of XXXX a loan was established under my identity in the amount of {$80000.00} under the XXXX XXXX XXXX services. The collateral property proclaimed to be on XXXX XXXX was used to secure a property in XXXX. This is fraudulently without my knowledge or authorizing M & T. Bank claims entitlements that are inaccurate and not identifiable by the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The property on XXXX XXXX was not used in XXXX to secure a loan in XXXX. This is absurd and the original documents to the properties involved held by the veterans loan guarantee program do not reflect these allegations.

Consumer Complaint: I have paid off M & T BANK, but they refuse to offset their books to show my account paid in full on XX/XX/2022. In addition to this Writ of Quo Warranto was sent to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. Then recorded on the public record. The deed was reconveyed to me and recorded on the record and signed off of by the chief judge and yet M & T and their XXXX partners are trying to disregard all of this and give the false impression that they have a legal interest in the home. Their shadow title and their claim as the principal XXXX XXXX XXXX attorney in fact has been dissolved and recorded on the record Georgia revocation of Power of Attorney. XXXX XXXX. is the attorney and debt collection company in this collusive XXXX action. Their CEO XXXX XXXX was also served with a writ of Quo Warranto and he did not answer. He was also sent the recorded revocation of power of attorney dissolving the attorney-in-fact relationship and their fraudulent activity. Seeing that XXXX and M & T refuse to adhere to the law but use a statute ( which is not a law ) to justify their actions I am forced to present them with the attached lawsuit for their criminal activity. XXXX XXXX has been served with a special deposit to access the spendthrift account and offset the account according to the FAS XXXX, XXXX books. I am also ordering the judge to subpoena both sets of boos and all accounts as Banks are known to keep more than one set of books. one liability and one asset. usually, the accounts have no knowledge of the other. So when a complaint like mine comes in they can not fine the offset documented. They will show up in court and sign an affidavit to testify and not lose sleep because they genuinely do not know of the separate books. The other misconception is that banks deal with money... they do not they are in the business of selling securities which begin as promissory notes.

Consumer Complaint: I have subside mortgage with MandT bank so payment amounts change. I notified the bank that my payment amount changed and I had be making the new payment since XXXX of XXXX. The escrow analysis was done and there was a shortage. I opted to do the 12 month payment plan on top of my new payment amount. When I spoke to the analysis department I asked for the new paperwork /statements to reflect moving forward this call took place in XXXX ( XXXX ). XXXX I made an on time payment they held it, and put XXXX, XXXX, XXXX payments in suspension as well and made it look like I had not been paying my mortgage. The floodgates open from there they made excuses on top of excuses. According to their records now I was 78 behind in my mortgage payments. I have Statements reflecting this, recorded phone calls, video of a worker coming to my home placing a notice on my door telling me to contact the bank. After they cleared that mess up they continue to call my house and hold my payments every month daily asking for the mortgage payment when it's already been paid. It's a form continue harassment for a bill that's paid and someone that's not doing there job.

Consumer Complaint: Unfortunately, I am sending this message for your help because this matter is very time sensitive. I need an answer or resolution ASAP. I have tried everything I could think of with the bank over the last 7 days when I found out the issue 7 days ago. On Monday XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the XXXX XXXX, at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CT XXXX of the M & T Bank ( Manufacturers and Traders trust company People 's United bank ), to go into my safety deposit box to get my passport. I was going on a trip and needed to get it renewed because it expires before my trip. I have owned the safety deposit box for over 25 years at the same location and a total of 40 years with the bank at another location. I was meant to be the only person who has access to it and have been the only person with a key to it. I was informed that it was closed out my someone in XXXX but at the time they would not confirm who it was or when it was. They said the lock had been broken into because the person did not have a key and the box did not exist anymore with all my legal documents, passport, my birth certificate, deeds to my home, car titles, bonds, family heirlooms, jewelry, and many other items to long to list here. Over almost 38-40 years of legal documents. I asked who closed the safety deposit box and if I could any documentation of the box being closed permanently and not existing anymore. Basically, who had my contents of my safety deposit box. The bank stated all paperwork including a notarized paper by the bank, were the bank 's " internal documents '' and were not given out to the owner of the box without a subpoena from my lawyer. I am not sure if the person who stole the contents of the box has any paperwork from the bank. I have tried every day in the last week to get the documents of the closing of the safety deposit box, but they are not currently assisting me to get the paperwork without a lawyer 's subpoena. I find this outrages because it was my safety deposit box and I did not close it. The contents were taken out of there without my consent and the box was closed permanently without my consent. I could use your help in any way I can. I what to find out officially who gained access to the box. I have my suspicions, but I need to know officially. I would also like to get my passport and original birth certificate in order to get my passport renewed or new one. Neither I can do without the stolen documents in the safety deposit box. Consumer Complaint: Well it all started about 8 years ago when mortgage lender ; XXXX XXXX Transferd us to M & t bank/XXXXwho aggressively mislead us to believe that the were helping us. By giving us no choice but to put a second mortgage on our house. We have been behind on payments ever since... Struggling while our payments keep going up ... our..We have lost track of time.. We have attempted to modify the second mortgage with no success.The payments are just unreasonable high.. We will be sewing.. The the Lenders for being a ponzi scheme.. Of a fractured banking system.. We borrowed supposedly XXXX & now over 10 years later we owe XXXX more presently then was was borrowed originally. The numbers do not add up.. The mortgage company Being M & t bank. We have not seen a deed to this property to this day.. We have tried to sell this house aswell with no sucess.. We have had multiple realtors...
