Consumer Complaint: I opened a Checking account with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and a Savings account on XX/XX/XXXX. I deposited two checks, one for {$380.00} and another for somewhere between XXXX XXXXXXXX {$2000.00}. I also had a direct deposit deposited for around {$2500.00} from my job. I soon after opening got locked out of my account. I spoke with a rep at XXXX XXXX and she told me that because they are online only and do not have branches they automatically assume everyone might be fraud so they lock everyone out. I have not had access for 2 weeks now and they are holding all my money, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Each time I call they just say I need to wait and I will usually get a resolution in 10 days. It has been over 10 days and they still won't answer. They transferred me to Key Bank who I guess they use and a rep at Key Bank told me they were suprised they are locking everyone out. I saw an ad on XXXX and all the comments ( XXXX ) were people saying they were locked out for no reason, many for months. And some had accounts closed and funds not returned. I can not wait months and I need my money. They can't just steal it, it's insane.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 I cashed my life insurance policy check at XXXX XXXX XXXX Keybank and they they told me it would post XXXX to XXXX. They also told me it wouldn't effect my direct deposit. XX/XX/2023 the check cleared but direct deposit was posted. I try to pay my rent online and the keybank app said my account was restricted. I call customer service but they seem to be confused on why my account was froze. XX/XX/2023 I go to XXXX XXXX XXXX And they told me that theres a hold on my account but they dont know why? but to wait XXXX weeks. XX/XX/2023 I go back to XXXX XXXX XXXX. They tell me they have a hard time reaching the fraud deparment and they dont know whats going on but to wait 2 months. XX/XX/2023 i contact corp office XXXX for addtional questions. I find out the fraud department said XXXX XXXX XXXX didnt send addtional info that was need for the case. XX/XX/2023 I recive XXXX letters in the mail. XXXX saying " the account hold is typically within XXXX business days. the other XXXX stating they are closing my account within 5 days.

XX/XX/2023 Direct Withdrawal, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$230.00} XX/XX/2023 Direct Withdrawal, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - {$710.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX deducted {$710.00} anyway even though I had a new policy that was paid. I didn't give my authorization for the {$710.00} charge. I actually cancelled my policy because it was increased to {$710.00} a month. I contacted XXXX and they said I would be refunded but I wasn't refunded the entire amount. XXXX insurance was saying it was for the month of XXXX but insurance was charged in advance. I contacted the bank & XXXX twice but both are refusing to refund the unauthorized payment taken from my bank account. Consumer Complaint: I bought 4 bottles of oils from a company called XXXX XXXX for {$170.00}. I never received the oils. I received 3 empty bottles and one bottle of a smelly, cloudy liquid that was not oil. On XXXX XXXX website it says money back guarantee. I communicated with them regarding a refund, and they said yes, they sent me a return label. I returned the empty bottles. They said that they deposited my refund of {$170.00} into my KeyBank account on XX/XX/23 but I have not seen the deposit. And it's not on my bank statement either. Key bank is telling me that they have not seen the deposit either. I opened up a dispute with key bank and they told me they would do an investigation. I communicated with XXXX XXXX again and they said that the reason we can not see the refund is because I opened up a dispute. I spoke to the bank, and they said that we are able to see the deposit even with the open dispute. So, I communicated again with XXXX XXXX and they said that key bank is lying, that they are incorrect, and that key bank has my refund. Key bank is saying that they do not have my money. Key bank has denied me. The reason they gave was because they say that I authorized the transaction. I told the bank that I was maliciously lied to, I was deceived. I was scammed. That this is deceitful fraud. XXXX XXXX is making an unjustified criminal claim that they returned my money back into my KeyBank account refund Refrence deposit number XXXX On XX/XX/23. But they have NOT. And the bank has a document that says XXXX XXXX refunded my money into my bank and they also have the screenshots of the texts of XXXX XXXX saying this as well. XXXX is fraudulent, they are also making an unjustified criminal claim that they did send me the product I bought, BUT they did NOT, they were EMPTY bottles!!!! I have sent Keybank many emails and have called Keybank on the phone many times regarding the company XXXX XXXX being fraudulent and deceiving me on purpose. I have sent key bank documents, pictures, texts from XXXX XXXX as proof and I will sent them to you as well. I asked key bank for a chargeback. A reversal of {$170.00} to be put back into my bank account but they denied me. I asked for the case to be reopened on XX/XX/23 but I am afraid that they will deny me again. Please help me get a chargeback from key bank due to fraud, being misled on purpose and lied to. Sincerely XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Key Bank savings account in XX/XX/2023, at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Oregon. I wasn't sure I needed open an account but the bank employee called someone and they concurred I needed to have Key Bank account in order to receive a transfer from a Trust Account at another branch. I questioned the account representative several times to confirm the account was truly necessary. There was no mention of minimum balance or monthly fees. I deposited {$10.00}, the minimum. Not more than three weeks later, I learned I did not need a Key Bank account. I went back to the branch to close the account and retrieve my {$10.00}. I was informed of a {$25.00} early termination fee. The teller told me I would need to come back during the week when his manager was on duty for an override request. I returned a couple of weeks later on a weekday. The teller from the last visit is the branch manager. Surprise! I challenged the teller and the same account manager about the process and why I was mislead. The red flag was out. They waived the {$25.00} fee after I stated more than four times I was incorrectly instructed to open the account. Then I received my {$2.00}. What? What fees? For a savings account? At that point, it had been almost an hour. I uttered an expletive, took my {$2.00}, and left. Not my best moment. There is nowhere on the Key Bank website to file a complaint if you don't have an active account. I was prepared to send an email to upper management about their policies and point out the benefits and customer service standards of my local credit union.

Consumer Complaint: I wrote a check to XXXX XXXX XXXX to make a payment for my visa account on XX/XX/2022 in the amount of {$590.00}. I mailed the payment from my drop box at my local post office. The check was cashed by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX my bank, KeyBank funded the check from my account. I didn't realize what had happened until my payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX was not credited to my account. XXXX XXXX XXXX said it could take 2 billing cycles to resolve. After I water for 2 billing cycles, I spoke to the fraud dept of KeyBank and they said I needed to filed a police report and fill out their paperwork and they would send it on to the fraud dept. The bank said it could take 90 days to be resolved. I have called every month since then and Keybank says they are waiting for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to refund my money or that they will email the fraud dept. again but, they never call me back. It has been a year and I feel I should have been refunded by now. It is not my fault that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX funded this check and Keybank paid XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX as well. This account is in my XXXX mothers name and I am a signer on her account.

Received a ticket # and told " engineering team will look into it ''. Received a response on XX/XX/XXXX stating " its a known error and hoping for a resolution in the next few months and was advised to write checks .... '' I believe this is an inadequate timeline, " hoping '' " for next few months '', The ability to ACH transfer to an external account is a feature that every bank in XXXX has. The fact that this doesn't work and isn't properly being addressed is kind of ridiculous. Attaching proof of contact.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I had IDES benefits sent to me through Key2Benefits/Keybank. They allowed online transfers. Now they don't for some reason. When I use the ATMs they only allow withdrawals of {$20.00}. I want my remaining money. It is {$17.00}. I call Keybanks customer service line and it hangs up on me. I called like 20 times.
