Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I clicked on an Ad on XXXX that advertised XXXX XXXX backing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. It looked like a legitimate website, but after purchasing, it seemed fishy. I received a confirmation email from " XXXX XXXX XXXX, '' and one said it would show on my credit card as " XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' They other charge on my card said it would be from " XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' I called KeyBank on XXXX XXXX, XXXX to say I wanted to cancel the purchase because something didn't seem right. They said to wait to see if I receive the item. I did receive a bottle of Keto Gummies. I received one a month later as well, even though there wasn't auto purchase set up. When looking at my credit card later I noticed that there were strange charges on it. XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$38.00} XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$140.00} XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$130.00} XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX {$140.00} XX/XX/XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX- {$130.00} I didn't make any of these purchases, nor did I receive anything. However, the bank denied my dispute TWICE because they said it had my information, email and address on file. ( Probably because I ordered the keto gummies prior to this ) The bank said they had tracking numbers from USPS associated with the orders. For the orders that were : XXXX and XXXX, the USPS tracking number was : XXXX. For the one that was XXXX the USPS tracking number was : XXXX. When looking up these numbers the website says " Label created, not yet in system. '' When looking up what this meant, it says that someone has made a label, and it can be independent businesses, but has never been dropped off at the post office to be mailed. The message is the same after 7 months. Furthermore, when I started looking into the keto gummy scam, the following websites gave me more information. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX KEY BANK CLEARLY DID NOT INVESTIGATE THIS DISPUTE LIKE THEY CLAIMED THEY DID.

Consumer Complaint: Tried to get a consolidation/home equity line of credit loan with KeyBank on XX/XX/2023 at a branch with a personal banker who ran my credit report after having an awful experience with another bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Was told by personal banker and branch manager to not pay off credit cards as loan would be approved and they would have to close my credit cards which is wrong information as that gets reported in a negative way to the credit agencies. After another XXXX weeks of waiting with this bank when I lost XXXX weeks with the first bank, they ran my credit report again and they plummeted down to XXXX XXXX XXXX due to me not making my payments to creditors as per the bank 's instructions. Loan was denied by this one as well. They also told me they would use my home which is paid off with no mortgage as collateral when in fact anyone knows you need to be in your home for XXXX months before it can be used as equity. Again, wrong information given to me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, after receiving an email from the direct bank XXXX XXXX indicating that a linked external account was available for transfers to and from a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account, ( which itself happened after all the usual verification hoop jumping ) I initiated a transfer of {$450.00} from that account to the new XXXX XXXX XXXX, to start the XXXX. The account the money was transferred from records the transfer as actually occurring on XX/XX/XXXX. I became aware of the account lock-out after trying to log into the XXXX XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX to confirm the transfer and XXXX XXXX did not inform me of the lock-out by call or text or email. I was given only vague information when I called the number XXXX XXXX provided, but was told that most holds/lockouts are resolved within ten business days. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from KeyBank ( the parent company of XXXX XXXX ) saying that a hold was initiated on XX/XX/XXXX and that " the account hold is typically resolved within XXXX days. '' The letter provides three possible reasons for why the hold was placed. The first two involve me reporting fraudulent activity and are not applicable. The third reason is " KeyBank detected suspicious activity related to your deposit account or online banking profile ''. The timing of the hold implies that the " suspicious activity '' is the transfer I made after being told by XXXX XXXX that I could make transfers. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent an email to XXXX XXXX offering to verify my identity however they preferred and answer any questions they had, and that if they would not do this, then I wanted my money returned. I received a vague, unhelpful response the next day. As of at least thirteen business days after being told the issues was likely to be resolved within ten days, the money has not been returned despite my request, I have no access to my account, and as I have no firm information about when I will have access to the account, and as I was not clearly told in the process of opening the account that I would have no access to the account, ( if I was told I would have no access, I would not have opened the account ) I consider the money stolen.

Consumer Complaint: On multiple occasions Ive gone to deposit cash into my account via XXXX CT and XXXX CT KeyBank branches ATM. Both occasions my money was eaten by the ATM. I called customer support and theyve said I wont see my money for 10 business days, causing an overdraft fee to my account. I was told to not deposit over {$100.00} cash into my account to avoid risk of losing it, the last I checked this was a bank backed by the FDIC and I should never face risk depositing {$100.00} into my account.

Consumer Complaint: This is involving Key Bank. On XX/XX/2023 I noticed a unauthorized withdrawal from my bank account in the amount of {$79.00}. I called the fraud dept. immediately and told them I did not authorize this transaction, we cancelled my card and she gave me back my money or Provisional credit. The company that took this money according to my bank statement is called XXXX out of XXXX Texas, this company does not exist. On XX/XX/2023 I receive from Key Bank stating that, the review of the Merchant documentation. It reflects information that matches your current account, well of course it does they are scammers.So now they are saying I authorized this bogus transaction and they take back the {$79.00} that they gave back to me. Key bank sends their " Proof '' or order details now the company is called XXXX, the name keeps changing they are supposedly out of XXXX Texas also. I checked with the Chamber of Commerce in XXXX Texas there is no such company there. In the same letter they send me this proof. Says Transaction date XX/XX/XXXX, Transaction type : Purchase, says product description which is blank. It says I signed for this non existent package and says it is a track able delivery. They say they have a signed receipt from " Logistics '' claiming I received this bogus package with a timestamp and my signature none of which anyone can produce. Then i see the shipping details, it gives me telephone # for the company I call it it's a bogus # date of Shipment XX/XX/2023, Tracking # XXXX which doesn't exist and not one person could tell me who delivered it I asked what company they said XXXX, then someone else said XXXX, I said Express what, no answer. I have been ignored and treated so poorly by this bank I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and on a fixed Income what they have done is disgusting '

I went into the branch that opened this fraudulent account and they could confirmed that the thief did not have my social security number or form of identification. This account should never have been opened and shows a complete failure of controls at Keybank. The theif was able to con Keybank out of money and now Keybank claims I owe them money and have sent a debt to a collections agency

Then they cancel the payment and for that i have to wait for 10 more days to get my money back. A total of 25 to 30 days to get my money back from the time i paid a bill? I BELIEVE THE KEY BANK IS DISCRIMINATING AGAIST A MONORITY AND SENIOR PERSON. IT ALLOWS ACH TRANSACTIONS SET UP WITH SOME BANKS AND NOT WITH OTHERS --?
