Issue: Can't repay my loan
Subissue: Can't decrease my monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: When I enrolled in my college ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, KY ) I followed the advice of my XXXX and did exactly what he recommended, in terms of credit load. He ( and the professors in the education department ) recommended following a XXXX year plan to ensure that I would be able to manage my classes and classroom/XXXX hours. What they did not tell me is that my federal aide was only good for XXXX years. So I continued following their recommendations and the summer before my fifth year I received a statement letter saying I would receive XXXX dollars in financial aide. I was absolutely panicked and neither me or my parents knew what to do. I had very little guidance and wht I did get from financial aide office was vague. I had no idea that the private loan I was getting would leave me with such high monthly payments and that they would not budge in the amount of those payments. I was a college kid living with my parents and relying greatly on their knowledge and that of the student aide people, confident that both knew what they were getting me in to. What I 'm most upset about is that I was a XXXX student, I could have, and would have carried a heavier course load to get done in XXXX years, had I known I was losing all my federal aide that fifth year. If that was explained to my parents, they failed to tell me but I do n't think they were aware of it either. I have XXXX dollars of student loan debt and I make about XXXX. The federal loans are manageable because of government programs like XXXX plans. The private loan through Key Bank, totaling about XXXX, is not manageable, with payments of XXXX a month. I have XXXX young children and bills are getting heavier and heavier. Please help. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I had an auto loan with First Niagara who was bought by KeyBank. The merger happened XX/XX/2016. I paid my XX/XX/2016 auto payment electronically - which I have proof of from my financial institution ( it was paid via Bill Payment electronically ). I received a past due notice on XX/XX/2016. I called the number on the past due notice on XX/XX/2016 and questioned it. I was informed they did not receive my payment. They were going to submit a research request, which I was told would take 10 days. They were to call me with the outcome. I did not hear from them so I called again on XX/XX/2016. They still had not found my payment. I told them it was done electronically and I would provide proof of payment from my financial institution. I faxed over the proof of payment on XX/XX/2016 to the phone number they provided me. Each time I call it takes me at least 25 minutes on hold to get to someone in the loan department. I still do not hear anything. On XX/XX/2016 I receive another past due notice. PLEASE NOTE - I made my XX/XX/2016 payment with no problem ( so I am continuing to pay because that is what a responsible individual does - pays their bills on time ). I call again and go through the story again. This time they tell me they are going to expedite the research and it should only take 3 days. I confirmed the fax number again and faxed the information again. Now the fax has XXXX Service Request numbers! I still have not heard a word from the Loan Department at KeyBank HOWEVER -- I have had not one but two collection calls. I have explained my situation as nice as I can but I ask them " Did you even read the notes on my account? That I am having an issue and it is being researched? '' They could care less. In a nutshell I have done everything I can to help KeyBank find my lost electronic loan payment. They have not called me or made any acknowledgment that I have contacted them multiple times about this issue. They have done NOTHING TO HELP ME except for have collectors call me! I am very concern this is going to hurt my credit score but all they say is " we can waive the late fee ''. I ask you -- How is that going to help me when they report me more than 30 days late on a loan?. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: The debt was forgiven by the bank. The account in question was a reward checking account at Keybank, XXXX, NY office, with address XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY XXXX. The account had accumulated {$38.00} in " no activity fees ''. My wife and I were not aware of such fees on the account. When we found out about them, we made an appointed at the local office. Consumer Complaint: Key Bank is processing debit transactions before credit transactions. In 2013 the CFPB said that the largest banks were processing credits before debits to avoid material losses to their client base. I feel that this process is deceptive, and not fair to their client base. Example : Account balance @ Key Bank : {$0.00} Mortgage Coming out @ Key Bank : {$800.00} OD/NSF Fee Assessed @ Key Bank : {$38.00} Direct Deposit going in @ Key Bank : {$1000.00} Ending Balance the next morning : {$160.00} At any other bank you would have {$200.00} because they would have credited your direct deposit before taking your ACH mortgage out. Additionally, their systems allow for the mortgage to actually be returned as well if no one is available to manually pay the item with the direct deposit still sitting there. This potentially causes an entirely new set of problems via foreclosure and such.

Consumer Complaint: I sent {$10000.00} to XXXX supposedly for the purchase of securities that were to generate me a monthly return. I was to send {$35000.00} total but I choose to do it in installment in the event this operation was a scam. The reason I was trusting was that I was making money initially with doing binary trading and would receive my withdrawals when I submitted them. I decided to close out my account and get my money back but the company is not responding to my phone or e-mail request. I had over {$17000.00} in my account in addition to this {$10000.00} wire transfer I did on XX/XX/2016 from my checking account at Key Bank.

Consumer Complaint: Within two weeks I have heard from KeyBank with so many issues for my accounts. First, I received a letter that an account was opened in my name and called to inquire. She stated that it was closed the same day the letter says it was opened. Then I get a call from the fraud department that an online banking account was made and bills were paid, she inactivated the account but a week later I get mail welcoming me to online banking and reminding me of the offers that were presented when I set up the account. Today I received a letter stating that I have an account with a XXXX balance and so they are closing it and reporting it to the credit bureau. Not an account number I even have or know of!
