Consumer Complaint: Chase bank refuses to close my checking account with them, despite me having requested that this account be closed starting back on XX/XX/XXXX. They have charged me hundreds of dollars in XXXX fees, despite my repeated requests to close the account. I canceled my debit card, they kept honoring charges on it. I changed my direct deposit with the VA and they still ( somehow ) got my monthly benefits deposit. I repeatedly, continuously requested IN WRITING VIA SECURE MSG on their system that my checking account be CLOSED IMMEDIATELY and they refused. Every time my account was out of the red, they just sat there and kept approving payments, XXXX debits, card transactions, even though I had already canceled my card and requested closure of my account. This bank is intentionally and fraudulently forcing my account to stay open, while simultaneously continuing to fraudulently charge me XXXX fees- even though they keep sending me msgs saying they WON'T do that - and they keep approving XXXX debits, card transactions, etc. to continuously keep my account in the red so they can keep claiming they " can't close the account because it is overdrawn '' but I even deposited {$20.00} from an outside account to ensure the account would go into the positive so it could be closed AND THEN CHASE INTENTIONALLY PUT A HOLD ON THAT ELECTRONIC DEPOSIT SO THEY COULD KEEP FORCING MY ACCOUNT TO STAY OPEN. On XX/XX/XXXX I was involved in a hit-and-run accident ( the other driver smashed into me, and my granddaughter was in the car, then sped off ). That started all of this craziness, because I'm a 100 % XXXX veteran who gets $ XXXX from the VA for XXXX benefits and have no other income to pull from. As a result of my accident, I could no longer take my granddaughter to/from school and had to use XXXX and XXXX. Then, I had to order food delivery because I could no longer cook ( I have XXXX titanium implants in my neck from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, so the accident exacerbated that injury/surgery site ). Apparently, Chase decided to just starting me XXXX fees for literally every single transaction instead of putting a hold on my card ( AS I REQUESTED ) so that's when I canceled my card. But then they kept charging me for " auto transactions '' ( even though that card number was no longer valid ) and every time they charged me {$34.00}. In the end, they charged me {$34.00} a total of XXXX TIMES since XX/XX/XXXX, for a total of {$680.00} in fees in less XXXX weeks. I contacted Chase XXXX times via secure message to try and make them STOP all this illegal, fraudulent nonsense and just CLOSE MY ACCOUNT but they absolutely refuse to do what I tell them - even though I'M THE CONSUMER AND THEY WORK FOR ME- and now they're intentionally holding XXXX the deposit that I electronically sent to my account for MORE THAN XXXX DAYS just to prevent me from closing the account and to keep playing this " GAME '' they are playing with my life and my health. When I requested that Chase reverse all the XXXX fees and close my account back on XX/XX/XXXX I did so as a REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION REQUEST under the Americans with XXXX XXXX of XXXX -- and they STILL have not honored my requests, nor closed my account. I want an immediate investigation into the practices of Chase bank in the operation and closure of my checking account. I want a FULL REFUND OF ALL {$680.00} CHARGED TO ME IN " XXXX FEES ''. I want a letter of apology, in writing, signed by a C-level XXXX. And I want a {$1000.00} check to me for the INTENTIONAL INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS caused to me by Chase bank for no reason other than... THEY COULD. This is a shameful, untenable tragedy that should never be allowed to happen EVER AGAIN. I'm a totally, permanently XXXX veteran with no other income and I have deposited closed to {$100000.00} since my account was opened and yet Chase treats me like I mean absolutely nothing to them as a banking customer and continues to break all the rules and laws of the FDIC and the XXXX federal government just because they want to and they feel like they can get away with it. INVESTIGATE CHASE NOW- I will be contacting the news. I have all the proof necessary to go after this fraudulent bank, as long as Chase doesn't DELETE AND DESTROY it all, like white collar corporate criminals are known for doing.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I was charged {$50.00} for a scanner that the bank gave me to deposit checks. This is a monthly charge that I have been paying for 39 years. Chase closed my account the next day XX/XX/2023. I called for a refund as I didn't get to use the scanner and I was told once the account is closed you cant make a dispute. So once they close the account they can steal my money. Shame on Chase Bank.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, we mailed a check for {$9700.00}, drawn on our Chase Bank account, to NYS Income Tax. On XX/XX/XXXX, the check was posted to our account. On XX/XX/XXXX, we received a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) that an unauthorized endorser, XXXX XXXX XXXX, had deposited the check, through, an ATM, in his XXXX account. The caller asked if they should stop payment on the check. We said they should. They didn't. The same day, we called Chase to initiate a complaint. They said they'd send the forms we'd need to fill out. The forms never arrived. On XX/XX/XXXX, we filed a complaint with our local Chase Bank Officer. We have regularly followed up with Chase on the progress of our complaint but there has been no disposition. Chase maintains that XXXX, as the bank that accepted the check, is responsible for repayment. We have copies of the check front and back. Chase deducted the funds from our account without checking the depositors endorsement or the identity of the depository bank. Given the blatantly erroneous unauthorized endorsement and the fact that JPMorgan is the depository bank for NYS tax payments, we do not accept Chases derogation of responsibility. We have asked them to reverse the payout and restore the funds to our account. Side note : We have had to send a second check to NYS Income Taxes. Because this second check was sent after XX/XX/XXXX, we were charged interest and a late fee.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I received a settlement from an accident for my son, and was issued a settlement check from my lawyers office. I opened a trust account for my XXXX son a Chase Bank, I am the guardian on the trust account. For an amount of {$98000.00} I deposited the check to Chase Bank. I noticed after a week the check had not cleared and they said they placed a hold on it, I called they said it was fraud prevention and might take 5-7 for funds to appear in the account and for hold to be removed. a week or so later I received a letter saying they would close the account, so I called, and they told me they were unable to verify the maker of the check or they could not remove the hold I contacted my lawyer and they said the funds were cleared from their bank account, and even sent me. copy of their canceled check. I called chase again to ask how to verify this business, as it is a lawyers office, in biz for 20 or 30 years, have a XXXX a website etc. and they said they couldn't verify their phone #. Their number is on the check, their website, XXXX etc. and the lawyers office 's bank cleared the check and chase is holding the funds I have called them numerous times asking for a resolution and they keep telling me to have my lawyer add their number to public record. I am at a loss and so frustrated I don't know what to do. I have court records of the settlement and the letter with the issued check as well as a copy of the canceled check from the lawyer and Chase will not release my funds One agent told me they would eventually send it to the state for unclaimed funds

Consumer Complaint: On, XX/XX/2022 I received a call from a representative claiming to be working for XXXX through JP Morgan Chase requesting if I made a payment of XXXX Dollars to a XXXX at XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. I said no and they proceeded to ask for my information which I provided for my XXXX account. They then sent that payment to themselves using that hacked account and number by fishing my personal information. I called my Chase bank after realizing what happened and said that I was scammed. They investigated the claim and said since I authorized the transaction that it could not be refunded and that I did not report within 60 days. I received a letter on XX/XX/2022 after I called them one on XX/XX/2022 and on XX/XX/2022. I even reported the number to XXXX and told them this number and person were committing fraud. Assured me that the account was reported and banned. However, I requested my money to be returned by the recipient twice and saw that the account was still active hoping the person who got hacked as well maybe perhaps got their info back and would do the right thing. My bank, Chase, refused to help under Regulation E and XXXX claimed that they could not provide any assistance citing they do not provide buyer protection on authorized transaction between relatives or friends. This hacker was not my friend or my relative and its unfair that neither of the two companies and institutions have failed to refund me my money under FDIC guidelines. Also, I think its poor practice to not provide any buyer protection like XXXX does. The banks are letting these types of scams run rampant because they refuse to ask XXXX, XXXX, or, XXXX protect consumers. I have uploaded two statements from Chase one where a similar scam was done through XXXX by fishing for my information and another through XXXX. XXXX was able to credit me my XXXX dollars alongside with Chase, but then refused in another statement to do the same through XXXX a company they advertise?

They were timely payments. In fact, one vehicle was paid in full. Consumer Reporting Agencies have assumed a vital role and have a responsibility to report Consumer information to the best of their ability with Maximum Exactness. I have never been late on payments for the account : Chase : XXXX. I made the Payment on XX/XX/2023 and Chase reversed the payment, independent of my knowledge According to customer service there was an error in processing, -most likely a typing error. Moreover, I was never notified of an error in processing the payment. My Credit score dropped XXXX points in one day. Please investigate and provide Proof with statements showing that these payments were late. If proof can't be provided I demand these payments be updated to on time as they should be as I was NEVER Late. Fair Resolution! I request Chase Update the account to Pay on time and never late.
