Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I was locked out of my Amazon account ( my husband seems to recall we were trying to watch a movie through XXXX XXXX ). I called the number it said to call to unlock my account. The person said my XXXX XXXX had expired. I questioned that I thought my Amazon came due in the fall but the person said no, it had expired and that Amazon was offering a 3 year deal for XXXX XXXX at XXXX. Since I pay about {$140.00} a year for XXXX XXXX, I said this was a good deal and said OK to it. A few weeks later, I went through my Amazon bills and noticed that I am charged in XXXX for XXXX XXXX. I then called Amazon and asked if they were going to start this 3 year special at the end of XXXX, XXXX since my XXXX membership would not expire until then. Amazon rep said there was no deal for 3 years, and noted that customers are charged in XXXX every year. When I got my Amazon bill/ Chase Card statement ( I ONLY use this card for purchases on XXXX XXXX nothing else ) and noticed this XXXX charge- I began my dispute. I was billed this amount on XX/XX/XXXX and have not received any 3 year special discount from XXXX XXXX, nor any other goods or services. This needs to be resolved and Chase is not helping me. They did remove the charge once from my bill, but did put it back on. I have been back and forth for months between Chase card and Amazon and no one is helping me remove this fraudulent/ scammed charge.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I deposited a cashiers check from XXXX XXXX XXXX and Chase Bank placed a 7 day hold on this cashiers check. They have no reason to believe the check issued by XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX would be NSF. I spoke with Chase and they were able to verify funds with the issuing bank and still refused to release the funds. Additionally I previously deposited a check from the same Credit Union and the same cashiers check that already cleared and poted to my account. I have been charged several {$34.00} charges for being overdrawn when in fact my account has had money in it since XX/XX/23 via a cashiers check deposit of {$5000.00}

Consumer Complaint: Earlier this year in XXXX, the WePay by J.P Morgan company decided to stop processing payments for my business, after this they stated that all the funds in my account would be placed on hold for 120 days. I appealed but was denied and waited the full 120 hold period. The period ended on XX/XX/XXXX, I then reached out and was told to submit a wire transfer form so they can send me the funds. I did this and sent over the form on XX/XX/XXXX. Now here we are in XXXX and I am being told I may not receive my funds for another 60 days. Which at that point it would be 8-9 months since my funds were originally held and is far beyond the legal holding period. I am not receiving and help or service from WePay, as I have asked numerous times to speak on the phone with someone which was denied. I have no answers as to how or why they are continuing to withhold my funds from me.

Consumer Complaint: I received a phone call from XXXX XXXX with Chase Bank XXXX XXXX asking me about a wire transfer that I had made on XXXX XXXX for XXXX, I didnt really give much information to her as I am not accustomed to dealing with people that call me and I dont know anything about them. The next day before I found out my bank account was restricted. I was calling to see when my retuning wire transfer was coming back, I was told that on XX/XX/2023. The funds came back but could not be applied to my account because of the restrictions. I went to the Chase bank in XXXXXXXX XXXX. The bank manager XXXX XXXX would not give me my funds and refused to help and I mentioned to him that I had XXXX with XXXX XXXX speaking to me on my cell phone, telling me to put my phone on speaker so XXXX the bank manager could hear her. She is explaining to him that the notes she put down on my account said that I could get my funds. XXXX was arguing with her and saying she has no right to call me. I feel as a customer this bank manager should never have been given this job as he thinks he has all the power that controls the customer lives, but is unwilling to help solve the actual problem and issues to help. This was proven to me when the manager told me that he would check to see about my XXXX wire transfer that was coming back to my account if it was able to be paid to me, he told me that he would call me back around 3 he never did, I called him and left one message to call me. I dove to the bank after I l called the wire department and found out the my wire came back the day before and could of been in my account on XX/XX/2023 so I figured I would be able to get my funds but the manager refused and said the wire person lied to me then he asked me and my wife to leave the bank.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/ a banker stole my replacement bank card from the mail and as of today XX/XX/XXXX the same group of bankers spammed my original complaint. I spoke with a Chase executive 7 days ago and was informed that a formal complaint was processed and that Chase would be in compliance with the documents provided by the FTC. Not only was the wrong information provided as a comment, my debit card was clearly stolen and the response was given without official letterhead. I am pressing charges for the string of incidents that have occurred. ( XXXX Harassment, Fraud, Larceny, and Criminal Mischief )

Consumer Complaint: As the designated representative of XXXX XXXX, I must urgently address the unwarranted and ongoing restriction on our Chase bank account, effective since XX/XX/XXXX. This issue, stemming from a dispute between XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, is unrelated to our firm 's direct operations yet has regrettably ensnared XXXX XXXX, causing considerable operational and financial strain. Background : XXXX. Our client, XXXX XXXX XXXX, engaged with XXXXXXXX XXXX for the purchase of two vehicles : one valued at {$55000.00} ( purchased on XX/XX/2023 ) and another at {$33000.00} ( purchased on XX/XX/2023 ). He issued checks for these transactions, which were processed through a partner dealership. 2. Simultaneously, XXXX XXXX fell victim to identity theft. This criminal activity involved fraudulent credit applications in his name and a deceitful identity theft report falsely declaring all his credit activities, including valid loans, as fraudulent. 3. This nefarious act resulted in the removal of the {$55000.00} loan from XXXX XXXX credit report, while the {$33000.00} loan is still documented on his credit report. Legal Position : - In line with the Uniform Commercial Code ( UCC ) 3-305, XXXX XXXX, as a holder in due course, is legally entitled to enforce payment despite certain defenses. The legitimacy of the transactions with XXXX XXXX fortifies our legal standing. - Additionally, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the wrongful exclusion of XXXX XXXX legitimate {$55000.00} loan from his credit report infringes upon his rights, indirectly affecting our company. Furthermore, this unwarranted freezing of our funds by Chase contravenes our rights under the UCC and possibly the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ( EFTA ). Attached Documentation : 1. A detailed police report on the identity theft incident suffered by XXXX XXXX. 2. A formal statement by XXXX XXXX presented to XXXX XXXX, confirming the legitimate nature of the funds applied for by him. 3. A copy of XXXX XXXX 's latest credit report showing XXXX XXXX XXXX loan of XXXX reflective.
