Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, I settled with XXXX XXXX on my new house. My first mortgage payment was due XXXX XXXX. My Mortgage loan was transferred to Freedom Mortgage and has been a horrible experience. My first payment was made via check and cashed/cleared my account by Freedom XXXX XXXX XXXX. I attempted to make my second payment XXXX XXXX via internet but system problems so I telephoned it in that payment and was advised there system was done. Hours later I logged into Freedom website and saw to pending mortgage payment. Immediately, I called them. I was advised the payments could not be stopped but that once they received both payments, the other erroneous payment could be refunded. After weeks of Freedom not taking, not even one payment, I started calling. After three days, I spoke with a supervisor whom advised, my XXXX payment was cancelled out by someone but could n't explain why, and he said it appeared as if my XXXX XXXX payment was being refunded to me and that I would need to remake my XXXX XXXX payment. This sounded ridiculous. By now my account was reflect I owed XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and since it was getting close to XXXX XXXX. Freedom opened and investigation to look into my account. They even reported this to non-sense on my CREDIT REPORT WHICH HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED YET AND SHOULD BE DELETED. I had to provide a copy of the cancelled check showing I made my XXXX XXXX payment because they could not locate the check and said they could not find the funds. They stated the funds should have been applied back to my bank account, FALSE. I had to provide bank statements to proof this. I sent a letter advising I would seek legal action if my account and credit report was not corrected. I am still waiting for verification this has been deleted on my credit report as I want to retain my same credit score. How can a company with a pending investigation report an unresolved matter to your credit? They currently have me owing a late fee for XXXX XXXX. I called in on the XXXX and made this payment, my payment is not considered until after XXXX. They are saying it was not received until the XXXX. I am now requesting a letter from Freedom Mortgage stating that they have deleted this from my credit. I was informed it was made current, NO this is not sufficient. It needs to be deleted. I had excellent credit with an impeccable credit score.

Consumer Complaint: I have a mortgage with Freedom Mortgage. I started making bi-weekly payments for a year and almost every payment is misapplied charging me double finance charge on almost every single payment. I have spoken to them on numerous occasions and almost takes an act of Congress to get them to apply the payments properly, sometimes having to follow up 2 or 3 times until the payments are properly applied. If this is happening to me, I know its also happening to anyone else who is making bi-weekly payments. I even asked for an audit of my loan and all to no avail. They even refused to allow me to speak to anyone in the payment processing department. I have spoken to customer service manager and still get nowhere and they cant even offer me any solution to their inability to properly apply payments. Freedom Mortgage is stealing finance charges from unsuspecting customers and this must stop. They are violating the law and refuse to do anything about it. All their loans should be audited by Federal Auditors to verify compliance. Thank You for your assistance

This is when my demise began I began getting calls advising me I had not made a payment. I provided an internet copy of my bank statement showing the payment had been deducted from my account. Upon reciving my bank statement I sent a copy showing the money had been taken out of my account. In XXXX I sent my check mortgatge payment certified mail. through this ordel I have spoke to supervisor after supervisor telling them I owe nothing there response was we will look into it. It appears that the person that took the info over the phone for the XXXX payment applied it to Principal again supervisor after superviosr advised me this would be fixed with no penaltys. I continue to get a call daily. they now are dunning me for the XXXX payment. They read notes each time they call and tell me this will be straightened out I continue to get a new perosn calling me daily. Typically while at work. I have never in 20 years been late on a mortgage and I am not behind now. I merely want this matter cleared up and the harrassment to stop. The incompetence of this company is horrible.

Consumer Complaint: We purchased our home on XXXX XXXX, XXXX via a VA Loan. We made our first payment to XXXX Mortgage without any problems. After which our loan was sold to Freedom Mortgage. Thus the problems begin. The issues of Freedom Mortgage Corporation servicing our loan began in early on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We paid Freedom Mortgage on XXXX XXXX, XXXX in the amount of {$1700.00}, which was in the form of a cashier 's check. I received a call from a customer representative for Freedom Mortgage on XXXX XXXX, XXXX stating that our payment had not been received by payment processing. After verifying all information he confirmed that the payment was mailed to the right address for payment processing which was Freedom Mortgage, XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX OH XXXX. He suggested we wait a few days for the payment to be located. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX my wife and I called Freedom Mortgage and our payment still had not been posted. We were told that they would make a note on our account that the payment was lost. Or, it is possible it may not have made it to the cash center for processing as of yet and to keep calling for the status of the payment. We spoke with numerous representatives from XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and still had no clear answer about the status of our payment. We spoke with XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, she suggested we make an another payment over the phone without taking into consideration the cashier 's check that was sent on XXXX XXXX, XXXX which they may have lost. She stated there was nothing else they could do. We called back within that same hour and spoke with XXXX who stated that she would make a note on our account, but if payment is not received/found by the XXXX XXXX, XXXX we would incur late fees and a late payment would be reported to the credit bureau. I informed her that during the 60-day period beginning on the effective date of the loan servicing transfer, the payment may not be treated as late. XXXX suggested we mail another payment to the overnight address, Freedom Mortgage XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX IN, XXXX, which was for rush payments. I went to XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, cancelled the lost cashier 's check at a cost of {$34.00}. I then purchased another cashier 's check for {$1700.00} and mailed it overnight at a cost of {$22.00} to the required overnight address of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX IN, and XXXX. We called Freedom Mortgage on XXXX XXXX, XXXX asking if they had received our payment. The representative stated that they received our payment and has located the lost payment as well. So now we have XXXX payments posted, but XXXX is no longer valid, in lieu of the fact we were told that it was lost. We informed them that since they told us the cashier 's check was lost we cancelled it and reissued a replacement. At that point we were told they would be charging us a late fee. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX we mailed our next month payment overnight to Freedom Mortgage, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX IN XXXX and it was signed for by XXXX XXXX. Our next payment was mailed on XXXX XXXX, XXXX to the required overnight address of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX IN, and XXXX. It was received and signed for by XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. We received a letter on XXXX XXXX, XXXX from Freedom Mortgage dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX stating that our payment has not been received. And that a late charge of {$69.00} has been assessed to our account. My wife called on Freedom Mortgage customer care XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and spoke with XXXX who stated that they have no record of our payment. I explained to her that USPS emailed me verification that the payment was received and signed for by XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. And that I have a scanned copy of his/her signature.
