Consumer Complaint: We have a home mortgage loan on Freedom Mortgage for the property address at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AZ, XXXX. I called freedom mortgage on XXXX XXXX to inqury about how much I should expect if I want to pay off my remaining mortgage. The representative told me to get the payoff quote on FreedomMortgage online. I specifically ask the representative if they will be any fee associate with the quote. The representative told me there will be no fee if I decide not to do the payoff finally, generate the payoff statement is free of charge. That's why I do the payoff quote online. But then I find out Freedom Mortgage charge me {$30.00} statement fee for the payoff quote on XX/XX/2021. This is unreasonable as I have asked before and was providing a misleading information.

Consumer Complaint: Again Freedom Mortgage is not and has not complied with FHA guidelines on my mortgage. Ive been complaining to CFBP and sending monthly loss mitigation pkgs back and forth and every answer from Freedom Mortgage is the same.no matter what my financial loss is Freedom Mortgage wants the same information. The last phone call from Freedom Mortgage was an agent telling me she needs to verify I gave a bank account or not, so I called XXXX XXXX and hit the checking account verified that I dont have an active checking account account with XXXX XXXXXXXX. Im including all parties information for that call and the last letter in response from Freedom Mortgage for my loss mitigation application. SEE UPLOADED DOCS.

Consumer Complaint: I made several attempts, by phone and through the website, to determine why my conventional mortgage payments would go up from {$1100.00} to {$1400.00}. This was in the fall of XXXX. I got no response. Finally, on XX/XX/2020, I sent a message through XXXX. In XXXX, I got a call from Freedom Mortgage and the rep didnt really have an answer, but said he would escalate the issue and I would hear from a supervisor. As of today I have heard nothing further. I really want my account audited to determine what is going on. A definitive answer. I am very suspicious of the situation and have consistently had issues trying to contact the company. Consumer Complaint: Our original VA loan was with XXXX XXXX XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX, Freedom Mortgage took over the loan for our home. We accepted a purchase offer on an adjacent piece of property next to our home. There is no mortgage on the property being sold. On XX/XX/XXXX our lawyer contacted us and said that the property being sold was part of our mortgage. It isn't. We contacted Freedom Mortgage and explained that the property was not part of the mortgage. The acreage on the loan document does not include the acreage of the land being sold, it was not included on the appraisal, the taxes and insurance are not in escrow. The only place in the loan document that refers to that piece of land is in appendix A. It is clearly a mistake. We explained this to the reps at Freedom Mortgage over and over. They said that they would look into. We called multiple times a week for updates, nothing was being done. On or around XX/XX/XXXX Freedom Mortgage was getting the tax and legal department involved to resolve. We continued to call for updates, nothing. On XX/XX/XXXX someone from Freedom E-mailed the legal department asking for an update, nothing. On XX/XX/XXXX a lawyer hired by Freedom Mortgage contacted me to review the situation. She immediately understood the issue and said it would be no problem to resolve this. She felt the best course of action would be to do a lien release. She filed the paperwork with Freedom Mortgage to be signed on our around XX/XX/XXXX. The lawyer said that due to the holidays, Freedom Mortgage probably wouldn't sign until after the XXXX of the year. I contacted the attorney on XXXX, no response. Again calling a couple times per week, getting no answers or updates. Finally on XXXX the attorney said that the documents were sent to the county clerk for filing. I contacted the county clerk, she said the documents were returned to Freedom Mortgage because they were missing information. Freedom Mortgage corrected the documents and sent them back to the clerk. On XX/XX/XXXX the clerk sent the attorney a message stating that there was still missing information. We spent 50+ hours calling and getting nowhere. We have done everything in our power to get this resolved. Here it is 17 weeks later and we still can't close on our property. We feel this unacceptable service and shows a lack of competency on the lawyers part. Can you please help us? We are desperate.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage

Consumer Complaint: Around the XXXX of XXXX, 2020, I was contacted by XXXX XXXX ( Senior Loan Consultant ; NMLS # XXXX ) from my current mortgage holder, Freedom Mortgage ( Corp NMLS # XXXX XXXX. This was in regards to a possible refinance of my existing home loan with them. I compiled the requested documents and signed a loan application. In early XXXX, I received a letter in the mail that the first application had been withdrawn although I never gave permission or was contacted before this was done. When I contacted XXXX, he assured me nothing was wrong but that I needed to fill out a second loan application and the details would stay the same. After XX/XX/XXXX, we never heard from XXXX XXXX again or about the status of the second loan application. In early XXXX, I was contacted by Freedom Mortgage about our loan application and that it had stalled. The Freedom Mortgage phone representative said they needed a few more documents and would email what Freedom Mortgage needed, but that person never contacted or followed up with me. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Freedom Mortage to inquired about the status of the second loan application and issues with communication. I was put in touch with XXXX XXXX ( NMLS # XXXX ). After going over the situation, he said we could move forward. XXXX said I would need to resubmit all the data, start a new loan application, and rerun my credit score. I did not want to rerun my credit score because of the previous issues were on Freedom Mortgages end, but assured me that it was okay. I resubmitted the required documents, agreed to the second credit pull, but I did not sign the third loan application as my wife 's name was wrong on the form and I had some further questions before signing. I emailed XXXX XXXX my concerns. I followed up with emails on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX and several phone calls and voice messages that went unanswered and unreturned. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Freedom Mortgage again and requested to speak with XXXX supervisor. I explained my issues for the past 2+ months and that I had not be contacted about my previous two loan applications and I wanted more information before signing a third application. The supervisor said he would contact me ASAP to figure everything out. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I have still not been contacted by Freedom Mortgage about anything. My complaint is in regards to the requests to fill out multiple loan applications, not communicating the status of my loan applications ( approved or denied ), the second credit pull, and overall poor communication regarding the status and process of the refinancing.

I have been paying on it for almost 7 years and payment is going up again for escrow. My pmi should be dropping off, but when I called last time, I was told 11 years. Yesterday told twenty plus years. I feel I am being ripped off. This fha mortgage was owned by another bank and Freedom mort. took over. I feel like I am getting taken advantage of. Payment should be starting to go down. Can you please check their business practices?

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was acquired by Freedom Mortgage on XX/XX/2021. I was not advised of this transfer. With the original lender, approximately {$470.00} of each payment was credited toward my Principal each month. Freedom Mortgage, however, is only crediting {$3.00} per month toward my Principal thereby unreasonably and illegally extending my mortgage indefinitely. Also, it appears they are not applying my payments toward my escrow for taxes and insurance. I've tried communicating with them about my payments, however they have not responded.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for two home refinance loans on my primary residence and a property I own in Florida with Freedom Mortgage Company. They ran a credit inquiry on that day to see what type of interest rates I qualified for. I proceeded forward with them and gave them permission to run that credit inquiry. The problem is I received another credit inquiry alert ( I have identity theft protection because I was employee by the federal government and now I support them ) on XX/XX/XXXX. Freedom Mortgage says they ran another credit inquiry on XX/XX/XXXX but I did not give them permission to run. I have been working with them since XX/XX/XXXX in which I got the alert and they still have not gotten back to me why they ran another credit inquiry. I have multiple emails and have escalated this to the management with no avail. I have told them that this affects me due to my security clearance and they just keep telling me that due to my high credit score it should not affect me. This is not the point, I did not give them permission to run the second inquiry and I have asked them to remove this from the 3 credit bureaus. I have still gotten no response and it is going over a month and a half now. I am not sure what else to do.
