Consumer Complaint: There's a company using scare tactics to attract attention. This should be illegal. The company " Freedom Mortgage '' ( if that even exists ) printed my supposed " mortgage number '' on a direct mailer ( for all to see ) that they have closed on my mortgage, but I didn't apply for one. Someone, maybe an older individual or someone in frail health, might have a cardiac response to something that alarming. I know better, but I still think it should be reported. This is wrong. It's evil and should be illegal.

Consumer Complaint: I was given an insurance check that needs the banks endorsement before we can get our roof fixed. Freedom Mortgage told us that it was a 7-10 day process unless we paid to over night the check and sent a prepaid over night return envelope with it. We paid for the overnighting because we actively have water coming into our home doing more damage every time it rains. We overnighted the check on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and they received it on the XXXX. Today is the XXXX and we still have not received the check back and the tracking number says that they havent even mailed it. I have talked to numerous reps and all show the check received, in processing, account in good standing, and that it should simply be a rubber stamp and returned. I spoke with a manager on XX/XX/XXXX named XXXX that said she would find out what the problem was and call me back by the end of the day. I have not heard anything from her. Freedom Mortgage has been terrible and misleading in this process. As much money as we pay them and the amount of vested interested they have in our home they should bending over backwards to ensure it is taken care of.

Consumer Complaint: Freedom Mortgage employees XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX deliberately delayed processing of my refinance loan. XXXX XXXX 's supervisor was copied on some of the e-mails but failed to intervene. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX would not return my calls, or answer questions. They failed to put information I sent them in my file. They said they were my primary point of contact. My file was shifted to about three other processors who requested same information I had already sent XXXX and XXXX. Application process started on XX/XX/2021, and did not close and fund until XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX was locked into this transaction and not allowed to take advantage of historically low interest rates on other financial matters. I could not use credit cards or engage in other financial matters. Took about 90 days to close. No home appraisal or inspection was needed. I was already and existing XXXX/Freedom Mortgage customer. I only wanted to refinance my existing principal balance. I sent documents to them promptly when requested. Closing date changed 3 times, my payoff letter expired, substantial incresases in closing costs, my rate lock expired and had to be extended.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2021, I received notice that my escrow account was short $ XXXX. I was offered the option of paying it all at once or in payments. I paid it all at once and figured that was the end of it. The representative made no reference to an increase of funds being necessary. It turns out that my homeowners insurance policy has increased by {$63.00} a month. I was not aware of it and continued making my normal payment. Within the next 30 days or so, I received notice that somehow, I now was in arrears a full two payments, which was not correct. I contacted Freedom Mortgage and spoke with a representative who advised me that I was in arrears for the increase. They took a payment for the increased amount, and I figured we were square. Unfortunately, I was then contacted again and told I missed another increased payment. I had already made the automatic payment with my bank, but it apparently did not get increased. I then made a payment for two months increase without speaking to anyone further. I never argued with them and they never indicated that the payments were considered late. I PAID THEM IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIVING NOTICE!! Without any notice or contact, Freedom Mortgage then reported to all 3 credit bureau 's of an alleged late payment. I never missed a payment and paid every increase I was made aware of. I was never out of contact with Freedom Mortgage and was never threatened with credit coercion, as they have now committed. Prior to this endeavor, my credit score has been XXXX, for years. I use my credit quite often, which is how I make a living. I have never missed a payment or been late for anything. I contacted Freedom Mortgage and they have advised me to " pound sand ''. I have spoken with representatives and supervisors, who all say because the impound increase did not get paid in a timely manner ( although they never advised me as such ), they would NOT remove the " late payment '' report - even though they were made aware that it took my credit from " excellent '' to " poor '' overnight. They have made it clear they are prepared to cause me financial hardship for the next 7 years. If I were indeed the type of person to miss payments and had a history of such, I could understand Freedom Mortgage 's insistence in trashing my credit. Instead they are exhibiting cold and callous behavior to one of their customers. At the very most, this was miscommunication between their representatives and myself. Absolutely no reason for them to crucify a customer.

Consumer Complaint: 1- Around XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted by Freedom Mortgage regarding a zero fee refinance. I had previously opted out of all solicitations by Freedom Mortgage. 2- Repeated requests were made by me, the borrower, to bring cash to closing so as not to increase the value of the loan. Representatives of Freedom Mortgage always acknowledged the requests and ensured that all costs would be due at the time of closing. Representatives of Freedom Mortgage never followed through on those requests despite providing proof of funds on XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. All associated costs were rolled into the loan which increased our total loan cost and added additional interest. 3- After receiving a final closing disclosure on XX/XX/XXXX and being explicitly told by two freedom mortgage representatives that no conditions would change prior to closing, Freedom Mortgage issued a revision to the closing disclosure on XX/XX/XXXX, the date that closing was scheduled. The closing notary arrived at our house at which point I identified the discrepancies. At no point prior to closing was the revised closing disclosure provided to us as borrowers. 4- No resolution has been achieved regarding false statements made from Freedom Mortgage staff, misrepresentation of terms of the refinance, cash to close discrepancies, bait and switch tactics, or other consumer protection violations that are likely occurring. As young borrowers of relatively low means, I believe this loan was designed to target us as vulnerable candidates to predatorily pursue.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/20 I purchased my home in XXXX PA. On XX/XX/20 I lost that home and mostly everything I have ever owned in a tragic fire. Looking past that, on XX/XX/20 XXXX XXXX issued payment for this loss in the sum of XXXX. The check was made out to both myself and XXXX XXXX. It was subsequently cashed and held in escrow by XXXX XXXX per process. When reconstruction began XXXX XXXX made an initial distribution without issue. The requirement for further distributions would be progress inspections. Distribution amounts would be based on % completed until all funds were distributed. However before another distribution was needed the mortgage was sold to XXXX XXXX. It then took XXXX XXXX two months to get their paperwork in order, order and perform a progress inspection and make another distribution. In similar order, before the next distribution was needed the Mortgage was again sold, this time to Freedom Mortgage which brings us to the present. I have been working in excess of 3.5 months trying to get Freedom Mortgage to get their ducks in a row to no avail. After dozens of phone calls and dozens of emails they are now requiring documentation ( contractor bids and contracts specifically ) that do not exist. The previous two Mortgage companies did not require this structure and as such it was never established. The other Mortgage companies required progress inspections which successfully took place resulting in distributions. I simply can not provide Freedom Mortgage with this information/documentation as previously stated because it does not and never existed because it wasn't required from the beginning. Additionally there isn't one general contractor, there are dozens of individuals working on this project, none of which are from large firms. I have no way of going back in time to satisfy this need of theirs that was never previously required. They are the third company that has held this mortgage since the fire and I don't see what gives them the legal right to withhold my funds needed to finish rebuilding my home because they want to change the process 11+ months in. I need the remaining XXXX to not only finish construction on my home but to also pay back my savings that I have effectively drained floating this project along during these unacceptable delays. This is now bringing construction ( the final stages ) to a stop as I have exhausted my savings trying to keep construction moving along and keep everyone paid throughout these unacceptable delays caused by Freedom Mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: I believe that I am owed a significant refund from Freedom Mortgage. I have called and email multiple times with no solution to my problem. I have attached copies of my closing costs, taxes from XXXX, XXXX insurance rate, and other misc. Documents that I believe will be helpful in rectifying the escrow errors. Please note that I reached out several times in XXXX and once in XXXX to clear up issues with my taxes, as well as multiple phone calls. XXXX XXXX who did my closing also reached out twice and she never heard back ANYTHING either. I had to do a lot of research, calls, and collecting information to figure out some of the issues on my own since I wasnt receiving the information from Freedom Mortgage. If you have any questions or need anything further please contact me at XXXX or XXXX. I need to get this cleared up asap so I would think 30-45 days from the date of this letter should be sufficient. Please note that since I have had this continued issue without anyone from your company apologizing or correcting the errors I will also be reaching out to a government agency to let them know of the problems with your company as well. I did try reaching out to XXXX but still never heard a thing with my complaint with that avenue either.

Consumer Complaint: My VA loan was refinanced in XX/XX/2021. Freedom Mortgage Corporation was the holder when the loan was paid in full. Escrow reimbursement was listed as mailed to me on XXXX XX/XX/2021. When I did not receive the check after 3 weeks I called Freedom Mortgage and was told that I could not have the check cancelled until a month has passed. After XXXX XX/XX/2021 I called again and asked that the check be cancelled and mailed out again. I was told there was a 10 day waiting period before the check can be mailed. It has been over two months since I closed on my refinance and there is {$6500.00} that has yet to be paid to me. If I am expected to wire funds to cover an escrow amount for a mortgage company I would expect a timely reimbursement. If not, I expect to be compensated in interest at my previous mortgage rate.

Our mortgage payments are constantly being mis applied and saved in reserved which is looking like we are behind in our mortgage payments. This month we only paid enough to make a full payment about with the funds that are in reserve and paid an additional amount to avoid and fees can you please look into this for me. I am unable to call due to being in a chapter XXXX bankruptcy I am unable to be assisted over the phone. Consumer Complaint: XXXX and XXXX are not displaying my mortgage payment history correctly since XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. I had a forbearance with Freedom Mortgage during that time due to the pandemic, Freedom has received a a lump sum and consistent payments since XXXX XXXX Freedom mortgage states that they are reporting as current, the two agencies says yes l am current however no data show for the months listed above and l am unable to get a fair and accurate rating for my report. I want my credit report to be given that same energy as if l was late.
