Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted my mother and discussed that I will be going to jail if I don't contact their company within so many days. I feel my rights was violated this company had no right contacting my mom discussing any of my business with her. My mother was extremely upset and was sure if she needed to go to emergency room. My mother is XXXX years old and was very concerned about this call. I spoke with a Mr. XXXX XXXX and a Ms. XXXX XXXX at XXXX. They violated my rights. They need to following the collection laws and practices.

Consumer Complaint: I had two checking accounts with Fifth Third Bank which were overdrawn due to fees imposed on the accounts and then additional fees due to the accounts being overdrafted by the original fees. I never opted-in to any type of overdraft protection program for this very reason. The Bank closed my accounts and immediately sent them to collections. This strikes me as usury and nickel and diming customers. I know owe over {$1000.00} to the collections agency due to Fifth Third 's deceptive practice.

Consumer Complaint: Hello SIr/Madam, I requested Fifth Third Bank to close my escrow account around 1st week of XX/XX/2019 ( my home LTV was less than 80 % ), they told me that once I make a written reqest it will be closed in 2 buisness days and mortgage payments starting from XX/XX/2019 will be adjusted accordingly. I received a refund check from escrow companay around XX/XX/XXXX week, however as of today it's been 1.5 month and even after multiple conversations, it's not done even after they having all the evidences to establish LTV < 80 % : -their appraisal report apprasing property around XXXX ( LTV 76.5 %, home loan is approx 343,000 ) -XXXX county appriasal report of property around XXXX for tax purposes ( LTV 78.5 % ) -PMI cancellation notice ( sent after LTV < 80 % ) Even after having all these evidences they haven't closed my escrow account & monthly payments adjusted accordingly. I would request XXXX to step in to resolve this.I would be glad to share you any information or documents that you need. Thanks, XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I currently have a fifth third secure credit card. I couldnt enroll in auto payment online so I applied via mail. I sumbitted my first form of auto payments during the beginning of XXXX and still havent gotten auto payments yet and its already mid late XXXX. I didnt want to get charged a late fee so i called towards the end of XXXX to reassure if I was already enrolled in auto payments yet and the customer service reassured me i was already enroll and that it will withdraw from my bank account on XXXX XXXX so I didnt have to set up a payment. XXXX XXXX comes around and i recieved a call stating i have missed a payment and charged a fee. I called up to fifth third customer service and the lady told me i was not enroll onto auto and that she couldnt help with my problem so she gave me a number to call back to see way i wasnt enrolled in auto payment. I do not recommend this credit card or bank at all very unprofessional and do not value you as a customer.

Consumer Complaint: This is a continuation of complaint # XXXX. We agreed to settle this complaint for {$3500.00}. Our attorney has been trying to reach The Fifth Third attorney since XX/XX/2019 and still has not heard anything. It is bad enough that 5/3 let my XXXX year old mother walk out of their bank with {$54000.00} cash, now they won't even give us the money they said they would give us. Again, she came into the bank five times taking anywhere between {$4000.00} and {$21000.00} in CASH each time. They knew something was wrong but did they put a flag on her account - NO. Did they call me the co-owner on the account - NO. Financial institutions need to take some responsibility for the negligence they showed in protecting my mother 's money. We need to put more regulations in place.

Consumer Complaint: Fifth Third is unable to resolve credit card fraud and identity fraud. They put consumers at risk and make them go through hours of hurdles to try and get fraud resolved. It is reckless and irresponsible and shows poor fraud defenses on their end. I received a notification from a credit monitoring service ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/2019 that there was a hard inquiry on my TransUnion credit report from Fifth Third Bank and 2 other banks. I did not make any of those inquires for credit so realized I was a victim of identity fraud. I put in a fraud alert for the credit agencies, and then was able to call and close 2 of the fraudulent accounts that were opened under my name. It took around 30 minutes to an hour of hold time, getting transferred, and putting in my info to get those fraudulent accounts closed. This is an XXXX, but I thought 2 banks had a good customer service experience to resolve identify fraud. For Fifth Third, however, I have spent over 4 hours on hold and being transferred between departments but have been unable to resolve this issue. Fifth Third repeatedly says in their hold menu that I need to enter my account number of social security number to get faster service. I don't have an account number ( because it is fraud! ) and my social is not registering with them. So that means I sit on hold for 30-45 minutes since I am de-prioritized in the queue. When I finally do get a hold of someone, they say they can't access my application since my info doesn't match ( BUT OF COURSE IT DOESN'T MATCH. IT IS FRAUD. WHY WOULD THE INFO MATCH WITH FRAUD!! ). This is an awful customer experience and they are running the risk of someone receiving a credit card in my name and me being liable.

Consumer Complaint: I have cancelled my MasterCard account with Fifth Third Bank since they continue to send me promotional checks tied to the account which I never use or want. I cancelled my account XX/XX/2019 and it took 20 minutes on the phone to do so. Now, over one month later, I get more of the promo checks in the mail despite the account having been closed ( or I was told so ). I am now over 20 minutes on the phone with them again and no one can tell me what is going on. It shouldn't be this hard to close an account and once I have done so I shouldn't get promo checks over one month later. I don't trust them to properly close the account and stop mailing checks which I would be responsible for.

The next day I didnt answer and they called my ex husband who I have no communication with looking for me and it was for a debt that was 10yrs old to fifth third bank. They said I owed 4x the amount I owed and if I didnt pay a judge would order me to pay and I would end up paying 5grand thats 12x what I owed. They wanted payment now or id be going to court. Company is first alliance out of California supposely

Consumer Complaint: When purchasing a car from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2019, I told the finance guy helping me that I only wanted my credit ran through one lender. I was aware that I might get a better rate from somewhere else, but I only wanted it ran once and through the lender I communicated. I never signed any paperwork about running my credit through multiple lenders. XXXX XXXX XXXX ran my credit 4 times when they were not authorized to. I only authorized them to run it once and they did not have my permission to run it multiple times.
