Subissue: Reporting company used your report improperly
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring to your attention certain concerns regarding the information contained in my consumer credit report, as provided by Experian, XXXX and XXXX. As a consumer, I am keenly aware of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and the importance of ensuring the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of my credit-related information. Under 15 USC 1681, Section 602a, there is a fundamental need to ensure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumer 's right to privacy. Furthermore, 15 USC 6801 underscores Congress 's policy that each financial institution has an ongoing obligation to respect the privacy of its consumers. I have recently become aware that [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ], a financial institution by definition, has reported certain information to your agency without obtaining my explicit consent as required by 15 USC 1681, Section 604a, Section 2. Additionally, I must assert my right to revoke any and all authorizations, whether verbal, nonverbal, written, implied, or otherwise, in accordance with 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ). Moreover, it has come to my attention that the reported information includes adverse items, violating the statutory provision of 15 USC 1681 ( c ) ( a ) ( 5 ), which prohibits consumer reporting agencies from including certain items of information without proper authorization. I wish to emphasize that, as per 15 USC 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) ( a ), any information furnished to a consumer reporting agency must be accurate. Given the discrepancies I have identified, it is evident that there may be inaccuracies in the reported information, constituting a potential violation of the law. Furthermore, 15 USC 1681E mandates that consumer reporting agencies maintain reasonable procedures to avoid violations of section 1681C and limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681B. I am concerned that the procedures in place may not be sufficient to meet these statutory requirements. In light of the aforementioned issues, I am formally disputing the accuracy of the information reported by [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ] and kindly request a thorough investigation into the matter. I have enclosed relevant documentation supporting my claim for your review. Please be advised that, under 12 CFR 1016.7, I am exercising my right to opt out of any adverse reporting services provided by [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ]. I trust that you will promptly investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to correct any inaccuracies in my credit report. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I anticipate your cooperation and a swift resolution.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I have recently discovered that other credit bureaus have already removed this account from their records as they did not provide enough information for me to verify this debt. I was the victim in this situation, and I am perplexed as to why your bureau is not complying with the law, especially when other bureaus have followed suit by addressing and correcting these inaccuracies. Given the lack of information provided to verify this debt, I request that you cease reporting this account immediately. Without proper validation and information, continuing to report this account is not only inaccurate but also incomplete and unverifiable. I want to emphasize that I was the victim of this error, and I am very frustrated by the apparent disregard for compliance with the law exhibited by your bureau. Other bureaus have successfully rectified similar issues, and I expect your bureau to do the same. XXXX XXXX Date opened : XX/XX/2019 XXXX : {$490000.00}. I withhold my consent for electronic communication and explicitly request that all responses be conveyed in written form through the United States Postal Service ( XXXX ). I am the primary complainant in this matter, and I hereby XXXX full authority to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to thoroughly investigate and address this claim.
