Consumer Complaint: I have done everything by the book with disputing these accounts. Ive contacted the bank in regards to this matter. They claimed its been resolved. Ive contact the law enforcement agency and filed a report and affidavit. They claim they identity theft report is valid. And lastly, Im contact the credit reporting agencies. XXXX have removed the accounts per legal requirement. But for some weird reason Experian feels XXXX not following all the steps. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX I know the consumer laws and the courts are very lenient with the banks and credit reporting agencies so filing a lawsuit is a waste of energy. Seeing Ive submitted my claim with Experian for over 6 months, Im at wits end. This is the 6th complaint Ive filed against them and every time I get the same ridiculous response. They make some absurd claim that the documents Ive submitted are not valid. Id like the CFPB to honestly look closely at this case because it seems this is a lack of their legal requirement to process the identity theft report. I have filed it with a law enforcement agency. Identitytheft.gov is a federal law enforcement agency. Id like to see this matter handled properly. All this grief of identity theft and not having any access to my credit is creating a ton of emotional and physical distress. Its cause a great deal of strain in my work and personal lives. I literally losing my mind because I have no other recourse. For the record I am the person submitting this complaint. I have not hired a third party nor is anyone helping me. Please see this matter is handled with a sense of urgency.

Therefore, we hereby refrain from sharing our non-public personal information. Additionally, we request that you provide us with an updated privacy policy that reflects our opt out preferences and an updated copy of our credit reports from all three ( 3 ) credit agencies. See letter from Trustee Agency below. *************************************************************************************************** XX/XX/2024 Dear XXXX & XXXX XXXX, I wanted to correspond regarding our previous conversation on the credit bureaus, the trusteeship, and your completed bankruptcy case. Upon the completion of a XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy plan the standing trustee files a Final Report and Account with the Bankruptcy Courthouse. The trusteeship does not report to nor correspond with the credit bureaus. After the Trustees final report is filed with the court, the presiding judge will discharge the trustee from the case and officially close the bankruptcy. As the status of the case changes based on the orders from the corresponding judge, the updated status become available through the courts electronic records. It is often the use of these electronic court records through which relevant parties are made aware of the status of a particular bankruptcy case. In addition to the courts electronic records, each creditor listed under the bankruptcy plan is also notified by the court of the discharging and closing of the case. Some of these creditors will update their own records with the credit bureaus so that the completed status of the case is reflected. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024, I attempted to log into my Experian account using credentials stored in a password manager. Much to my surprise, I was told that they did not work, so I then attempted to reset my password. I was asked for my phone number to receive a text message which would contain a short code needed to progress in setting the password ; however, they say that the phone number is not a match. I entered every single phone number I have ever owned and it rejects every one of them. It then tells me the following : " If you do not know your security question or PIN, you will need to contact customer care to reset your password. '' The phone number provided is ( XXXX ) XXXX. However, it is literally impossible to speak to a human at this number. If you tell the automated agent that you are trying to reset your password, it tells you to do it online. If you ask to speak to an agent, it refuses. In summary, this company has somehow corrupted the data on my account, including password and phone number, which I have documented securely on my end in a password XXXX. Furthermore, they have made it literally impossible to get in touch with a human to correct the issue. I need access to my account for the purpose of freezing my credit report, and Experian, in its incompetence, has failed in its duty to provide me a means to freeze my credit report.
