Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: I have submitted a report to the FTC regarding the unauthorized credit inquiry ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 ), which is a clear violation of my consumer rights. I have disputed this inquiry with Equifax, providing evidence and documentation to support my claim that I did not authorize this inquiry and that they are inaccurately listed on my credit report. Despite these actions and the clear provisions of the FCRA, Equifax has failed to remove the unauthorized credit inquiry from my credit report, stating that it is accurate. This response is not in compliance with the FCRA, and it undermines the protection of my consumer rights. I am writing to request that Equifax takes immediate and corrective action to address this issue in compliancewiththeFCRA. Attached you will also find my ID, and my Proof of Address.

Consumer Complaint: Complaint Regarding Credit Report Inaccuracies Dear CFPB, I am writing to file a complaint regarding inaccurate information on my credit report. I have been actively disputing these inaccuracies with the credit bureaus, but they have failed to adequately investigate my claims or remove the incorrect information. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I attached the PDF file below containing the list of items that have violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681. Credit Bureau stated everything was complete and accurate. But how is that possible if the open date, date of last activity and much more is incorrect. According to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ), they are supposed to modify or delete accounts that aren't reporting correctly. 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. I also believe that the credit bureaus have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by failing to : 1. Investigate my disputes in a timely and reasonable manner : The credit bureaus have not provided a clear explanation for their decision not to remove the inaccurate information, and I believe their investigation was inadequate. 2. Furnish accurate information to creditors : The inaccurate information on my credit report is harming my ability to obtain credit and other financial services. 3. Follow the FCRA 's dispute resolution procedures : The credit bureaus have failed to comply with the timeframes and procedures outlined in the FCRA. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate my complaint and take the following actions : 1. Order the credit bureaus to remove the inaccurate information from my credit report. 2. Require the credit bureaus to provide me with a copy of my updated credit report reflecting the changes. Enclosures : Copies of my credit reports Copies of my dispute letters Copies of any supporting documentation I provided to the credit bureaus

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX This letter is my final communication regarding the account XXXX. On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX received correspondence from your company saying that you would cease communication and credit reporting until the account was validated. To date, the account has yet to be verified and it has only been removed from XXXX. I am demanding that this account be deleted from XXXX and Equifax immediately. I have repeatedly asked for evidence to support your reporting, but you have failed to provide me a copy of valid and viable evidence provided by the above-named furnisher. Furthermore, I have requested your method of verification and you have not complied, which is an additional violation. I contacted the original creditor, and they informed me that XXXX XXXX XXXX is not the company that XXXX XXXX sold the account to which I previously informed your company. The account was sold to XXXX XXXX then XXXX XXXX. Original documentation bearing my signature for this alleged debt was never presented. Should you continue in your non-compliance, the law is very clear as to the civil liability and the remedy available to me for negligent non-compliance. I am maintaining a careful record of my communications with you for the purpose of filing a complaint seeking relief and monetary damages under FCRA and FDCPA. Attached is the letter from the original creditor. Remove this account from my credit report within 7 days or I will be suing your company for false credit reporting, negligence, and defamation of character.
